For online stuff check out this link http://www.manythings.org/japanese/links/#kana Also I used this book Kana pict-o-graphix But the best place to practice Katakana is Yahoo Auctions!!! Also it means you learn the Katakana that you need to know to be a car nerd! Currently I am looking for an インタークーラー for no particular reason. My Japanese is awesomely fantastic, according to everyone... おせじ

30mm Wide Wheel Spacers On Front Wheel ?
Laurence replied to felixy69's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
dangerous_daveo, the hub thing just makes sure the wheels won't fall off from the "wrong position" the spacers will still put the wheels out in the wrong place. Just depends how far out you can go before it affects the handling too much... Hmmmm... so SK, if I understand the implication offset itself is not so important as the inner position of the rim/tyre making a 10.5+0 close to a 8.0+30 (stock R32) Hehe... so looks like my car is actually close to correct then, despite the roll centre being up the wazoo. p.s. garage-13... don't let anyone know what size tyres you are running on those wheels! -
I was trying to work out the first time I went drifting and find the pics you took when you were with Terry anyway, if you come across them could you check the date for me please? Anyway my car has since been crashed four times and lowered a lot (it had just passed Shakken in that pic). The Guy from Hong Kong has crashed his car a couple of times and it now has widebody. Also I need to get Asuka's phone number/email off you for errrr no particular reason

30mm Wide Wheel Spacers On Front Wheel ?
Laurence replied to felixy69's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The car might tramline, but at least it won't look like a Tram with wheels hidden under the guards As for the other questions, are you guys seriously asking if a wheel with a certain offset is different to a wheel spacer combo with the same offset? If one person is 6 foot in high heels and one is six feet with bare feet will they both hit their head on a 5'10 doorway? -
Just strip it, get radiator, oil cooler, sump, some proper gauges, suspension and a roll cage and you are done. Then spend the rest of your money on tyres, petrol, oil, brake pads/rotors and every single track day you can get to. Project cars with a million horsepower are great... to poop on!

The Bel Motorsports sticker is on the wrong way around to be JDMyo they are supposed to go from the front to the back of the vehicle... But that is unless you are like Kelly McKinnon who thinks the other way around is more aggressive looking... Anyway, take it or leave it. If you look at this truck in my carpark you can see the way it works with Chinese/Katakana characters... The letters are the correct way around but go from the front to the back of the truck. Anyway, congratulations on the results, keep up the good work!

If you want to play with sizes this page is helpful http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html p.s. LOL at scathing... my highschool maths teacher is probably rolling in his grave at this moment

I am king of the last picks in any sort of real sport, so motorsport was an individual thing that I could practice to get even remotely good at, short of F1 I don't think talent is really as important as a PHD (according to Dick Johnson anyway) Buy oil and water temp gauges (don't forget to actually look at them) and ideally some suspension. Get an oil cooler and radiator when you can, then stick a fork in yourself because you're done. You can sell some pretty gauges when you get rid of the car, your car is clean so it will probably stand up for a couple of years of thrashing around and you can laugh at the idiots spending thousands to win a $10 plastic trophy while you are busy enjoying yourself in your car... There was a time when a 200hp rwd was a powerful car, people have seem to have forgotten that for some reason. I was thrashing my busted old S14 the other week and having a ball, despite being blasted past by the cast of Gran Turismo. The S15 with wheels worth more than my car spent most of the day parked in the pits. p.s. Yes that is an L-plate in my window

Volks F-zero Challenge 18x10.0jj
Laurence replied to allblitz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The stock forged non-Magnesium alloys are not very light, my 18x9+22 Enkei RP01s with 245/40R18 tyres weigh the same as R33 wheels with 215/45R17 tyres and I have several 17x9 Enkei RP01, Enkei Racing S and BBS LM that are lighter, I don't know about my other wheels because I haven't weighed them. The real advantage of the stock wheels is that they can eat a kerb hard and take it like a champ! Good ol Nissan! As for the wheels the poster has bought, I do not like the styling at all, but the width and offset specs are good, I have ugly wheels that I love too so it is all good The Dunlop W1s were good tyres... in 1998, I don't know when they were discontinued but they are probably ancient by now so I would burn them up as quick as you can, if you get some heat through them they might come good again though. But no question, for performance, the setup is good. -
The Skyline policecars you actually see in (like the one that told me to go home last night) are generally unmarked V35 sedans. I have not seen a marked Skyline The one from last night looked exactly as below!

Once again my friend you have chosen some truly sexual wheels. If they made them in 17" (for the front) I would be all over them like a sumo wrestler at Yakiniku (funnily enough I have actually seen that in real life!!!). The car has come such a long way since I took you on an unintended tour of Osaka when it was a clean as stocker. The colour choice surprised me too, I love it! I was driving at Central Circuit yesterday and remembered a fun day with you and I am glad everything seems to be coming along well since you left! Keep up the good work! Laurence

I want to change to Laurence if possible Thsnks in advance! -
Well this may not be of much help, but my friend had some 215/45 NS-II Nankangs on 17x9 R33 GT-R wheels on his S13 which he uses for drifting and after doing a few runs with them the thought something was broken on the car because they had so much flex in the tread/sidewalls. As a daily driver tyre they may be fine...

Thanks for all the interest! Sorry for the lack of replies but I have been on planes or visiting a million friends and relatives. But I am back in Japan now. So it is sold now. Thanks guys. -
The footage of this day ended up on HPI v10 as an extra. Not sure how well it turned out, I had some problems with the steady shot fighting the tripod.

http://japanbookplaza.com.au/shop/default.php/cPath/55 Looks like I should have asked for more! $57.40 from this Australian bookshop... -
SOLD I have a copy of HyperREV Vol.100 Skyline GT-R No. 4 that I just bought from my local bookstore. Anyway I am coming back to Australia on March 3rd so I can give it to you directly or pick it up or whatever. If you don't know HyperREV, it is basically car specific parts pr0n. They have different versions for Stagea, Silvia, WRX, etc... so if anyone wants any of them let me know! Anyway, I want $40 for it.
