  1. also the GTS-X (1986) came with a little ceramic turbo - 210hp, whereas the GTS-R (1987) has the larger garrett TO3 turbo - 215+hp GTS-R had an aperture in the front for the larger intercooler only 200 GTS-R's were built
  2. ok have you noticed any whitey/blue smoke coming out the exhaust? can get someone to punch the throttle to 4000rpm or so and watch the exhaust. though i'd assume that the inspector would have done something like this. yeh maybe better to get it checked out by a proper workshop or something?
  3. hi, does it have any upgraded exhaust and/or air filter? possibly exhaust fumes, have a whiff from behind while someone presses the accelerator. i remember mine smelt like something beyond exhaust fumes before i got it tuned.

  13. as someone already said above, he always seems upset that a car can be so incredible, that its actually boring to him. hes just an old english tea-drinking codger on the inside, that would rather a crusader mk II (british ww2 tank) over a ferrari enzo. still a good show and, i record it usually every week.. better than glee.

  17. same boat .. my synchros are also going (33gtst), aswell as the spigot bush. constantly makes a real annoying sharp tapping sound and, i guess its only a matter of time until something gives and spits the dummy for good.
  18. if their dyno does read low then that sounds about right man. now im on 275rwhp at autoworx on 12 -> 10 psi (12 then drops to 10), stock turbo/ injectors, fmic, full turbo-back exhaust, pod filter, vi-pec v44, walbro fuel pump. i still gotta get rid of that gts25-t sticker on the back, to release an extra 10rwhp..
  19. agreed! got it on ps3 and jesus christ the steering is just horrid using the controller. also cant stand racing games that have the slightest frame lag. anyone wanna buy it for $60? not even a week old and played it 3 times.

  22. hehe you seem to be stuck on the fence there! im not sure what your budget is, but surely the THOUSANDS of dollars you could save on doing an rb26/30, would overcome the mindf*ck that is doing a 2jz conversion? what would spock say?
  23. from what your describing ive had a similiar problem, same thing happened when the boost was set to 10psi, going up through 2nd or 3rd, then in the higher rev range would noticeably *stall* in power. apparently was to do with the stock ecu freaking out and dumping fuel at that moment, or rich and retard they call it anyway i upgraded the ecu in the end and got it dyno tuned. smooth as silk now.
  24. my old vy exec with the 3.8L Eco-Sik motor had extractors/cats/custom exhaust/panel filter, once beat a magna. wicked lumpy note for a v6, but droney as shit with the one muffler. smoked a few turbo imports aswell.. until they got into 2nd gear.. had dual fuel aswell, i really miss that massive LPG tank moral of the story? dunno. but maybe buy some pice of shit corolla or something thats reliable, gets you from a to b, and cheap to run. meanwhile saving up for your beloved turbo import.
