  1. I dunno if I'd call you an ugly girl, Pauly?
  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISTA DART!
  3. Only just, Paul.
  4. Thanks for that, Noel. Yes I can read and as it happens, I read this part perfectly well; I'm sure you didn't just let it go at that. How did he justify his position? It's a simple question. If you don't want to answer, please feel free to call me a retard once more.
  5. Ahh, yep.
  6. <crickets>
  7. You'll also note that the top end is only running 10psi. The boost drop off in the top end is common with standard turbochargers when pushed hard and can be overcome with a better boost controller.
  8. The power is fine for those mods but your tuner's claim is utter rubbish.
  9. Can't be far away now. It made great power on the dyno by the looks!
  10. Be that as it may, water isn't now and will never be a power adder in and of itself.
  11. It isn't drawing a long bow at all. The primary function of nitrous oxide use in an internal combustion engine is to add extra oxygen and make more horsepower. It doesn't matter how long it's used for or in what fashion. This is its only application. One of the side effects of its use is that intake temperatures are reduced. This is not a primary concern in any application of automotive nitrous oxide. I agree that it is an extra system but only for the purposes of making my point in relation to water injection. Water is most definitely not a power adder and it does not achieve "precisely the same result" as outlined above. Water cools the intake temps but that is all. It will not make more power in its own right and therefore it is irrelevant to compare it with nitrous oxide. I lol'd! Darren, how is your setup constructed? Boost pressure switch opening a solenoid? How is it jetted etc? Would love to see pics.
  12. I don't think 4" is enough backspace for that rim. I reckon you'll struggle. Measure it up and see.
  13. Last time I checked, Nitrous Oxide was a power adder and water wasn't. By that logic, a turbocharger is an 'extra' system. Clearly that's not what I'm talking about.
  14. Darren, you may well be right but it's adding another system into the mix and the more complex you make things, the more likely something is to go wrong. The way I see it, the E85 does a couple of things much better than regular pump unleaded and that's good enough for me and most people. Like anything though, it can be improved and that's where people might like to use a WMI kit as well. I've got enough confusion going on in my setup to bother though.
  15. I doubt you'll find anything in 15 x 11" to suit a Skyline backspace and even if you could, you'd struggle to make it fit under the standard guards. If you're turning 17" drag radials to shreds then just get full slicks. I reckon the biggest you will fit is a 28 x 9" slick and that will be far from easy.
  16. There's no reason to believe that he's farked his engine by overfilling the oil. Just do as has been instructed already and get on with life.
  17. Steve - no reserve list Guilt-Toy - BWAAHAHAH NYTSKY - Great idea. Seriously.
  18. There aren't any garages left and as it is, we have three (maybe four) cars in our single (that allows for two cars at once). We'll be sleeping there in our garage on pit lane. The advantage of having a garage means no lining up for cruise sessions (the event will likely get 800-1000 entries - no shit!) but you will still have ample opportunity to play on the track even if you can't scoot straight out. Bring your mates in their cars. I know you'll love it mate.
  19. The WMI lowers intake temps - great. So does E85 in its own right. Remember though, there are other aspects to E85 that make it a better pump fuel for hard-tuned applications. Here's the lay terminology I think best describes it: Premium Unleaded Petrol (Optimax etc) 1/ Add timing 2/ More timing 3/ More timing / ping 4/ Reduce timing 5/ Done E85 1/ Add timing 2/ More timing 3/ More timing 4/ More timing 5/ More timing /peak torque 6/ More timing / lose power 7/ More timing / lose power 8/ More timing / ping
  20. There is a cubic butt-load of cruise sessions so come to our garage and take your pic. You'll have my r33, paul's r32, stuart's ls1r32 and a turbo astron galant to choose from. Actually, you drive mine, I'm cruising in the ls1 r32. lol
  21. It really doesn't matter. I've been to every Powercruise at ECR and whether I was entered or not I had a ball. Here's what it comes down to, Steve; You pull out of pit lane like you have done a heap of times before and as soon as you get onto the racetrack proper, you pin the throttle and aim at turn two. Sounds just like any open race day, right? WRONG! And it's all because you have three of your buddies in the car, giggling like school girls and loving the fact that they can enjoy your car just like you do. Then there's the racing. The rules allow for roll-ons where you can line up your buddy in his car and give it a squirt in the designated areas (just about everywhere). It's the most casual, enjoyable way to enjoy your car with your mates you'll ever have. The dyno comp is usually dominated by massive dollar cars but that doesn't stop people sticking their 200hp stockers on the rollers. At the end of the day it's about putting on a show for the punters and the crowd really appreciate tough cars. You WILL love it mate. I personally guarantee it. Don't worry about 'competing'. That's the tiniest part of this event.
