  1. He's got the hippiest stone-cold-tripper mufflers coming for it. You have no idea.
  2. Not always but generally.
  3. It used to work, that's why I didn't say it 'never' worked. It seems like it's been bodgy for a long time, that's all. LOL @ racing in 100% humidity. I reckon it was close to that the night the place opened.
  4. I've highlighted the bits I'd have an issue with. Also, in-house is very much the wrong word to use. They're the same as the better constructed China manifolds you can buy from ebay. They're not worth the money they charge and they don't work nearly as well as an ETM or 6boost manifold in terms of spool, wastegate flow, collector design, quality etc etc etc... My best (and last) advice on the subject is to contact Leigh - [email protected] / +61 2 42628774 and ask for: - High mount manifold to suit a GT35R/RB25/30/ECR33 - 44/45mm Turbosmart wastegate - Oil and water line kit Good luck mate. All the best, Adrian
  5. That's good to know.
  6. The temperatures come from the Compulink Timing System and are not accurate in the least. The timing system has shown 75deg and 100% humidity for as long as anyone can remember. Don't pay any attention to them whatsoever.
  7. Cheer up mate. If that line was the main thrust of what you originally said (and you mentioned the grog twice so it looked like it was) and you couldn't see that too much is what causes 90% of the problems at the nats, then the statement stands. You said that it wasn't the main point of what you were on about so it doesn't apply and there's nothing to take personally. By the same token, that statement stands for anyone who thinks that alcohol isn't a problem at the Nats.
  8. I 9/10ths filled my RB25DET block and the water temp is fine. I run two good quality thermo fans and had my standard radiator reconditioned (unblocked). Most of the heat is in the top inch or so of the block anyway so half-filling yours should do bugger all to water temps provided your cooling system is operating correctly.
  9. Maybe so, don't take it personally though. Much love RSA is non-existant at the Nats but seriously, $30 is half the price of Saturday. You should expect to get half the show.
  10. Sack the idea of using a GCG manifold. Buy something else. I recommend a steampipe deal from ETM (Extreme Turbo Manifolds). He makes tonnes of them to suit RB30DET's and knows exactly where things need to go on a 33 gtst to keep it all under the bonnet. Truly worth the dollars spent (and it doesn't sound like it would be that much extra judging by the dollars you've quoted. Link is in my sig.
  11. I've deleted all your other threads on this topic. Please keep it in the right section and don't spam the rest of the forum with the same stuff. Thanks.
  12. Alcohol is the biggest problem at the Summernats. If you can't see that then you're either as thick as two short planks or a bogan feral pisshead that causes the problems. Would you take your missus to the Nats on any day other than Thursday? I know I wouldn't. Not in a pink fit. If they didn't serve piss from first thing in the morning on every other day there would be half the problems there are now.
  13. So it lost ~36kW over the manual. What's that, nearly 50hp? That sounds about right to me but what auto/converter is in it?
  14. One of the above.
  15. CRD is on this thread now. I'm keen to hear the background on the Nitto lineup and what's available too.
  16. So you did it in the car then?
  17. My non-rusty great-condition standard ECR33 RB25DET cams are for sale for $200. You should NOT use those cams. Where does the rust go once it wears off? Into your engine. All bad.
  18. Completeness of combustion and stoich AFR's can be wildly dissimilar. Checking AFR's against plugs is more accurate but unless you have a 4 or 5 gas analyser and the know-how to interpret the readings, you're pissing into the wind as far as determining combustion efficiency is concerned. I can post some really heavy reading on the subject if you like (not my own work) but it's not really for this thread. The super-short version is that the opposite to the way you imagine combstion being completed can and does happen and it throws the mixtures out accordingly.
  19. Fixed.
  20. Where did the metal go?
  21. A correctly set up PFC will handle them no problems but unless you plan on doing a lot more work, it really is overkill.
  22. I qualify for both categories so tell me what sort of a fcukwit I am?!!?!? LOL!
  23. LOL! That explains it then. Listen to this man. He knows stuff.
