  1. You lose next to fcvk all power keeping an airbox. You lose heaps of power with a stock FMIC Hence why everyone puts a FMIC when upgrading turbo (stock hi-flow replacement) etc, and keeps the airbox. Not obviously breaching EPA, and best performance all at once.

  6. 33GTR dumps wont be an issue. I was making 340rwkw on -9s with ~22psi using R33 dumps. Upgraded to Tomei dumps when putting on -5s... The only comparative difference was exhaust note. Cars with stock dumps and -5s made the same power/response as my Tomei equipped set-up.

  13. Yeah look @ people like Paul who are making ~420rwkw on stock manifolds, E85, 2.8l and 23-25psi Pretty big difference. Im almost the same power for boost as you on PULP, also have a junk exhaust atm.

  15. Often people misinterpret the dips on the newer DD sheets that can get a little wavy simple due to the resolution/scale of the graph as opposed to anything else and then springs are an issue - and thus the 'connection' is made, albeit incorrectly.

  17. What research did you actually do? The holset is possibly the laggiest turbo for the power you could use... There are NO decent results around anywhere that I've seen. I remember doing some digging mid last year as someone else from the US was wanting to use one, all the results were just ridiculously laggy and they were on 3ltrs (2JZ).

  20. It's not 75% It's a set RPM determined by the EPA - which is more than that. Either way, you need to be 89dB @ 4900rpm - that includes on back off/rundown. Which is usually what trips the meter. Unless you have a stock exhaust, you'll fail.

  22. Don't bother spending too much on a rebuild (pistson & GTR rods only) if you are going to put HX35 paperweight on the side of it. As in - no point having a banging motor with a junk turbo
