  1. In a letter, just like everyone else? It'll be a full EPA test if they've noted down ECU etc. Time to take it back to stock.
  2. 1. For Sale section 2. Totally depends on budget, spring rate choice etc. Have a read of the Suspension Section, heaps of info to let you make your mind up. Everyone is different as to what they prefer.
  3. Martin perhaps forgot to add it in? Round 7 - Haunted Hills 13/10/12 WRX are only doing on day there this year: http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport.html
  4. Hmmm 34/90 entries. I really should get off my arse and get the car serviced and pick up my new harness... Oh and new fire extinguisher, need a new mount after scruits @ Forum Battle farked mine royally by losing the locking clips
  5. Yeah Nik 2011 Rules (assuming 2012 is same) ASSOCIATE CLASSES For members with vehicles other than a Subaru. Any non-WRX cars (Motorbikes are not eligible to compete) with the exception of open wheeler race cars. Cars will be grouped into one of the 4 categories depending on car type or a factored engine capacity. (See table) AU3 - is for cars under 3 litre engine capacity AO3 - is for cars equal to or over 3 litre engine capacity Skylines - is for all types of Nissan Skyline Evo – is for Mitsubishi Evo’s participating in the Evo Cup CAPACITY MULTIPLICATION FACTORS FOR VEHICLES For all Vehicle Types, capacity must be calculated on the following basis: Rotary Engines multiply displacement by 1.5 Turbo Charged multiply displacement by 1.7 Supercharged multiply displacement by 1.7 Forced Induction Rotary multiply displacement by 1.5, then by 1.7 Important note: A minimum of a 4 point harness is highly recommended to all competitors but is compulsory for all modified Skylines.
  6. "PM for information" and then a website link.. Blatant advertising. If you wish to advertise, you are required to become a paying trader like everyone else: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/
  7. Enough threads 1 is enough. 5 is spamming.
  8. Closing this - if you need to know how boost works, have a bit of a google. That was the point of a few posts.
  9. Not really the same, they require maintenance so you gotta constantly pull them out and inspect them/service. Any signs of wear, replace the part or risk it failing. O/S box is really a build and forget situation. Plus for a daily/street car, dog box... yuk.
  10. What is the ID tag on the turbo? What are the sizes of the wheels? Telling us the housing size doesn't say anything really yet
  11. A location generally helps.
  12. His post was not pointless... What he is saying is that the rear housing and wheel has a ... LOT... of room. This means it could potentially be quite laggy, and for such a small compressor - its sorta the worst of both worlds. You'd be better off with a 3071, or going smaller to say a HKS2530 size turbo if you really want response (220rwkw).
  13. When you are ready to follow forum rules. Start another thread.

  15. When you go into the section, there is this dirty big message across the screen.... READ BEFORE POSTING All threads created will be subject to moderator preview prior to being approved and visible to other sau users. All posts within the for sale threads will now be subject to moderator preview prior to being approved and being visible to other sau user. If your thread/post has not been displayed, do not just post again. It will be released in due process. They will appear in due time.
  16. It's tune related. Take it back.
  17. Well I'm talking labour & fluid (associated things etc).

  19. Well most cars have coil overs already. I'm talking geometry like adj arms for caster/camber, oil coolers, upgrades radiators, brakes You'll easily spend 3-4k just in that department alone. Pads & rotors will be $1000 You can then even look at getting lighter rims for unsprung weight reduction etc. Sooooooo many areas to attend to really before you need to go rebuilding a big motor. No reason a motor won't last for many years if you keep the boost/tune/servicing in good order. So get a 3076, run say 14-15psi - should last a long time @ 250rwkw. The 3076 is probably a bit big for only 250rwkw, but the fact you'll be using low boost levels, less heat, wont come on like a lightswitch etc etc. Whilst you are learning to drive, is a pretty good idea.
  20. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/94955-warning-thread-bumping/ What does this mean? * No continuous thread "bumping" Once every 3-4 days, or your threads will be locked.
  21. You won't be running 22psi+ in a basic club level track car. Just asking for trouble as heat will be your enemy. Keep the boost sane, keep the tune good - motor will last potentially years whilst you learn to actually drive it, and set the car up. So hence just get a GT3076, and then spend on handling/brakes/entry fees/rubber/fuel/servicing for trackdays. Far better use of your money.
  22. Hate to break it to you.. KU36s are not a R-comp / semi-comp item. They are no different to a Bob Jane all-rounder in terms of legality.
  23. Sounds like a Trader Ad. Closed.
  24. Police have been up there all weekend so far. Camo suits, the works. Big operation been going on lately - you've all been warned.
