  1. Nope, it was definitely traffic related offences. That's the one part that sticks out most clearly. Nothing to do with EPA/Smoke.
  2. I do think you can be done for if the vehicle is operating/in motion, whilst on private land. I remember reading about a court ruling a few years back about people doing burnouts in their driveway and being pinned for it and thats the way the case went. Not sure what state though, was a few years ago
  3. lol not a chance, once you know what I knew, filthy filthy. Even double baggin' would be of great risk. I just had to put up with it for 8 months (due to a housemate).
  4. You don't have enough pins out of the PSU you mean? What model?
  5. This was a trick we used to use 8-10 years ago Now sure if it still works. I mean given they can give you an EPA simply by staring into a crystal ball, I'd imagine if they can visibly see something roadworthy, then you could get pinned - AS LONG AS it is on public land. A car being unused, on Private Land, I would envisage to maybe be a grey area
  6. Oh they had it @ same place as NS.com meets.. Well that is error #1
  7. They know which lane triggered. You won't get a fine. They most certainly will send out if more than one car is in the pic. I mean take the cameras on Hoddle St, Dandenong Rd etc - Traffic 24x7 and the cameras go off like Christmas lights!
  8. Be mindful the 5870 will be "brought down" to the 5850 speed.if you CF them together. It does not "balance". And overall you'll then loose a little more performance as crossfire is never linear increases/gains as it appears crossfire backs off a bit more with two cards that are not identical.
  9. Read the forum rules and try again
  10. And Calder are SUPER anal about it too. There is a guy @ the end of the strip. Looks @ the times. You run faster than the time vs gear - you get sent home (street meets). So given that you might not even get ONTO the track @ such an event like this
  11. Problem would be Calder Park rules which you would run under. Cars running quicker than 10.99 seconds, as aforementioned details above and the following: * Minimum 4 point roll cage, * Minimum 4 point Safety Harness, * Longer wheels studs protruding beyond the face of the rim by 1 diameter of the wheel stud. * Open Headers permitted, but are not to point down toward the track * NOS permitted, however, if fitted inside the vehicle, the bottle must be fitted with a vent tube from the appropriate OEM or equivalent of the bottle. * Engine Oil Filter Clamp required on spin off type filters. NOTE: System 1 and Oberg type filter designs are exempt. * Drive Shaft Loop Cars running quicker than 9.99 seconds, as aforementioned details above and the following: * Minimum 6 point roll cage, * Minimum 5 point Safety Harness, * Personal Safety Equipment per requirements of the current ANDRA Rule Book required. This includes gloves, fire proof suit, SFI approved Helmet, Neck Brace, etc. * Vehicles running faster than 140 mph require a parachute. * Those who wish to enter competition class must have a roll cage or else they must race as a street car.
  12. Yeah they setup a road block apparently, or so FB tells me (already) Fken that type of shit really pisses me off. Fair enough if people acting up - come down on em like a tonne of bricks. But if they weren't then Police need to back the fk off.
  13. gts-t owner, nuff said.
  14. Well what people drive isn't so much an issue... Each to their own really. It's more the "how", as i said above...
  15. Sounds very much like a Business Trader if ever I've seen one. If you wish to advertise here in SAU, you are required to become a paying trader just like all the other businesses. See here for further details on how to become a SAU Trader: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/
  16. **CORRECTION**... Looking @ the graph again on the link, it's @ 14v/70psi with a claimed 320LPH I'm even more dubious now, and would certainly like to see these tested independently. The problem is all manufacturers claim/rate @ different levels, voltages, pressures etc. It's always hard to compare upfront. I try to work towards 70psi as a "marker" and using 14v. Of course sometimes you have to improvise as figures are only supplied with 13.5v or 14.2v etc. Anyway the reason behind "70" is the base. Which is what, 38-42 psi. So +25psi of boost is 60-65psi. Round it off to 70psi and it should cover off most situations, or if you wanted to bump rail pressures running say 20psi and get a bit more out of injectors.
  17. You don't want much lag but you wanted to rev to 11,000rpm You sure you weren't trolling? There are plenty of -5s threads, results etc.. Use the search.
  18. With -5 turbos there is no need to rev past 8500 on a 2.6ltr So on a 3ltr it would be somewhere under 8000rpm. Power & torque would be non-existent the higher you go as the turbos will simply run out of flow and drop majorly in boost - hence the revs are irrelevant given your turbo choice. If you said a 1200hp+ turbo setup, then a different story.
  19. Happy to orgynise for Thurs. Its the only evening I'm not out this week. Given you've decided to have b'day beers tomorrow you unorganised kent, and I'm busy on every other night until next week.
  20. I'd like to see an independant test before i believe those figures. I highly doubt @ 14v/70psi they will be flowing 265LPH. Some reading for you: http://www.stealth316.com/2-fuelpumpguide.htm
  21. A few years ago that was 100% accurate my friend. I'm still undecided as to the 'value' that has offered my life
  22. The entirely new Review Section (it's a new forum) is live for those who've shot some interest in area's of this etc. I'll let you boys work out where it is... If you can't work it out then I am deeply worried haha Of course - could always do with more people. If you want in, let us know
