I was actually suprised they did Scott , as they mentioned it first and knew only matic -s was available (apparently a previous worker had an infiniti series). So i was suprised as you ..because i was about go sick at them if they used dextron III.

Got the M35 back from the radiator shop today for the custom top tank build, and when i picked it up they claimed when they unplugged the afm sensor (or map sensor whatever it is) with the ignition on and it made the engine light stay on, they checked everything (they claim) and they couldnt find anything wrong. They claim they rang Nissan and Nissan wasn't sure but they then told me to unplug the battery for 30 Minutes at a later date which might reset the computer and the engine light staying on in the dash? Anyone verify this ? They also had to top up the transmission fluid which i mentioned had to be j-matic or matic-s. which they claimed they used and topped it up. I took note of the kms before i dropped it off and they hadn't put any kms on it (unless they unplugged the dash fuses). Slightly concerned now!

I'm thinking get two volvo badges and butcher them to make a LOLVO. That'd look great on the back of my debadged M35

In Western Australia or Queensland you are taught to have it in nuetral with a manual or an auto with the handbrake applied when stationary at a set of lights. One explanation was that it was safer than in drive or clutched with your foot on the brake in case someone hits you from behind. I guess the theory was if someone smacked you up the bum your foot would naturally come off the brake and you'd roll into the lights. I personally thought that was a bit stupid, if you get rear ended hard enough doesnt really matter does it? Your gonna go crashing out into the intersection.. regardless of how you are braking. I personally think its something made for idiots (the handbrake rule) as all i can see it does is prevent idiots from rolling forwards in drive and backwards in neutral. But in regards to it being in neutral didnt know that about the clutch packs.. I'll be keeping it in drive now after reading this thread and learning more changes equals more wear.

So typical. Havent paid it yet.. but im bound to pay for it. as theyve trapped me into making a custom tank and its virtually finished in a matter of hours. I will however be using this option next time i have cooling system issues. and go straight to PWR and get one of theirs. I live in qld and overheating is an issue you gotta be constantly aware of here.. In fact here you shouldnt really be going hard on hot days. I remember there always being at least 1 boxer motor die on rexy meets , simply from overheating especially in summer! 100% hummidity ftl!

couldnt agree more with another forum for m35 stuff. I keep confusing peoples comments about S1's and S2's until i notice either C34 in their list of cars or their avatar of a c34.. and im like meh doesnt apply to my s1!

It has but the radiator shop i went to (High tech radiators) i believe has pulled a bit of a swifty on me. They said theyd replace the oring on the top tank which was only barely leaking but suggested i pay for a custom top tank to be made up for $500. I refused and said replace the o-ring, They ring back two hours later saying the top plastic tank cracked on refit. Basically sucked me in with no choice. (even though thats been known to happen with warpage but i bet they wernt soft with it). Its been at the shop since monday now apparently should get it back tomorrow but no word yet. I shouldve consulted you about that rad kinda spewing i didnt. unless i got a pvr one made up.

not taking off fast and then delivering power ? only not delivering power in a rolling start motion when entering a roundabout or heavy steering ? happening in reverse consistently ? thats exactly what snow mode is meant to do.. not deliver power until your moving so you dont slide out in snow .. checked your switch next to the gear lever ? easily pressed and exact symptoms.

Again this might sound very stupid.. but thats exactly what my car does in snow mode.

yeah 270kw at the flywheel and not at the wheel....minus another 50kw for bullshit marketing and youve got the real specs. I eat brand new sv6 commodores with a 10 year old barely modified 150kw 1.8litre corolla turbo. Im pretty sure a stag wouldnt have much issues. Whats the bet that same commonwhore barely pulls a 14.5 on the quarter... which regardless of it being 100kw's more than a m35 is what a m35 will do! Go figure? Suspension and awd do alot more than people think.

This may sound quite dumb , but have you checked you havent knocked it into snow mode.. if its not taking off quickly ?

Yeah looking at greenline for some of this suspension that nismo s-tune for just shy of 100,000 yen. (roughly $1330 without shipping) reasonable price you think?

realised that m35 cooling system parts are expensive.. i shouldve got a complete custom rad made up instead of a custom ally top tank (original plastic had blown an oring then cracked), ended up costing virtually half as much as a whole custom rad!

Dunno about you guys but the past 3-4 days .. everytime i log in (even after cleaning my browsers cache and doesnt matter which machine i use)... has all the reply radio buttons showing as web addy thread. Cant reply to posts , cant quote people , cant create a new post unless i actually click on create post after being logged out ? Is this because im not a full member my account acts accordingly or is there major problems that the admin need to address with this database ?

no radiators... douches at the radiator shop are trying to tell me they dont make the tanks for these radiators yet because its "not old enough" and are attempting to charge me $500 make a new ally top radiator tank or $1000 for a replacement aliminium rad... sound a bit ridiculoius to you? does to me for a radiator!

I'll give you $150 for the cargo set ?
