  1. hahaha, I farkin WISH! I wish I could find the dyno graph, from memory it falls over at about 7k. Lee had the limiter set at 8500 when I jumped in it, I had a cackle and pulled it back to 7500
  2. Hahaha, aint this a good chat! lol Thanks too fellas, we had a flippin ball How good are 32's though, went a bought a spare engine AND gearbox in perfect running order for 900 bucks on saturday....... take that Porsche guys! lol
  3. Hey Snowflake, this was my fifth Targa, and it's the first time we've made even the party tape let alone the TV doco..... harden up champ!
  4. I'll just say I really dunno why you'd bother. Stick with the rotor, either twin or triple rotor your choice, or peg an alloy Chev at it. Although, seeing what a nice strong 13B can be build for, I'd suggest staying 13B
  5. lol I guess they might, I can only hope they set the record straight and state that the only reason we ever left the road was due to bad and/or late navigator calls
  6. You're right, the 35 is a superb looking bit of gear...... they look even better from inside when strapped inside a caged one with a helmet on awaiting a launch controlled launch onto a rally stage
  7. Don't champ me... CHAMP.
  8. Quite greasin yourself up flog and get back to work on my website.
  9. I'm also on Brissy northside mate, do I know you? I'll come take a look, need a spare for mine. Cheers, Ben
  10. Wait for the in-car footage
  11. Put me down as a possible guys.... we're about to begin refurbing my little 32 so we should have time to have it there.
  12. No sweat mate I'm only guessing on the Q5... but to me, the gearbox isn't really suitable, and at the end of the day, it's a "compact SUV", so is likely a bit out of it's depth body structure wise to handle towing a 2 tonne load. It's effectively an A4 lifted up..... so can't really be compared to a heavier 4WD like a Toureg. There's great deals to be had on Touregs now, so I'd grab one up. I just can't fault the Toureg, with the exception of disliking the blue backlight on some displays, as I found them hard to read at a glance. We literally didn't know the R35 was behind us.
  13. Was a great weekend! Very nicely run, and a fantastic bunch of people Nice to put some names to faces, and we're already hatching plans to go back next year. M Berry shook hands on his promise of navving for me at next year's event. Can't wait Coop.... great drive mate, bad luck it ended too early though. The car is beautiful.
  14. Very timely Giant and I just returned from towing the R35 to Townsville and return from Brisbane in a V6 diesel Toureg. One word, superb. we averaged around 16l/100klm with the big 35 and a heavy trailer, and not once did it come off cruise regardless of the incline. Very comfortable place to spend 26 hours. A D22?.... steer clear. a D40 is better, much better, but not in the same league as a Toureg. Q5? Too much of a fairy imo.
  15. LOL!!!!!! One each sounds like a plan......
  16. 3 grand is nuts. I'll do Mt Buller instead
  17. Thanks Scott, Kel, I Timmy has balls of steel I reckon, a real pro I think a roof view or bumper view could better relay the actual pace of it.... probably the lower the better? I need to sort out a camera now, as this POV was Dan's!
  18. Bugger it... here's some more in car lol Tungahtinah, day 5.... fastest classic Queenstown... slow as a wet week. No grip man! Check the grip at 4:05 through 4:15, and again at 4:35.... I got nothin.... The campaign was pretty much over by now And Lowana, leg 4. - I didn't realise how much of a crack we had at this one. 7th outright, and only 6 seconds off Quinny! coulda binned it, ohhhh, 3 times on this one. Why didn't you say something Timmy!?!?! lol
  19. Yeah it's always had differing pricing whether there was just a driver or a two person team entering. The prices are a little more realistic now which is good i think it's still cheaper to share the event with someone, you know, fuel, accom etc... as long as they don't break your car and leave you holding the baby!
  20. Benson, going soft in your old age mate.... back seat!!!!!
  21. Could you prop me up Chris?
