  1. You'll need a CAMS/AASA approved full cage mate sorry. Doesn't need to be weld in though, bolt in is ok to run.
  2. I reckon you guys will do just fine. Blaise in the silly seat with you? re info, holla if you need anything ok, it's a logistical challenge as you know.
  3. First session completed Pumped much Russ??? lol
  4. AWESOME Andrew!!! Have you thought about Targa? Decided to enter Rookie to see if you can win modern to get the full entry for 2010 or just goin the whole hog?
  5. lol... funnily enough the white 34 had a Sparco one too and it was a pain. Was a bitch to line up the spline if you parked without the wheel strait and yeah, once drove out of service without it clipped in properly and it came off in my hand at the first corner! Slight soiling.
  6. Those quick release wheel hubs are outstanding value.... I got one off Steve coupla months ago and was pleasantly suprised, no slop even!
  7. Yup yup YUP!!!!!! I'm just about to pull the trigger on entering........ Stu, if I enter now, can all the details be changed later? Say, I enter my car as driver, then I decide to do it with Russ in the 35..... can we just swap all the details over? I wanna take advantage of the early bird entry for both. And Stu... were you tryin to get a hold of me yesterday? Call me if ya need - 0438 830 641
  8. Pace note prac tomorrow am... yee hawww!
  9. Nah the blue 34 was Appo's old one he just sold to a dude over there. We built it for Targa Tas 2006. The new guy entered it in the "challenge class" hmmmm, seen the results? lol
  10. Sorry mate, it's actually called The Tasmanian Tarmac Challenge now, but it doesn't really roll of the tongue like Rally Burnie.....
  11. Nope... as in first weekend of October.. in a few weeks!
  12. Not at this stage Can't afford the time really, but doing Rally Burnie with Russ which will be friggin awesome, and with any luck I'll get to Buller to party saturday and sunday. YT wants me to go, he reckons he has a score to settle re the slap comp at the bar last year. lol
  13. Is the car full complence or rally reg? If it's rally reg... anything goes!
  14. Well said Snowy, I'm not privvy to anything that Steve ran, but agree these new gen "street tyres" must be something a bit speccy considering the 'ring times etc. Given there's not too many really long stages in Aus rallying (longest is Arrowsmith @ 47.8klm) these tyres might not be as bad as i first feared? I do think it's important to remember that Tugga West is by all accounts a very fast rally, favouring the big top end cars like the R35 and Porsches. Other rallies in my opinion will hold a much better indication of how good the 35 is going to be, and whether weight will have a significant bearing on the performance. Of course, this may or may not be clear until a few tyres are developed to suit the car. But again, props to the crew, Steve is obviously a very very good steerer, and don't forget his nav was right there for him calling the shots, and would need balls of steel to get a "new" guy to rallying going that quickly.
  15. DOT approved it says..... blardy hell how???? lol
  16. Yes! A very big well done to the Fabcar R35 team... outstanding result
  17. Yeh sorry it was equal second. Not sure if they did Ben, it's done a piston by the sounds.... putting a new engine in tonight so at least they can rejoin. I just checked back... their "live update" is pathetic in comparison to most other rallies!
  18. Thread started in Mororsport section if anyone's interested..... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Qu...st-t234861.html
  19. Ok, so it's begun! Live updates; http://www.targawest.com.au/NEWSMEDIA/2008...91/Default.aspx I just now heard from my mates Kennard/Grimwood who's there from Sydney in their '07 STi Spec C, blown engine at beginning on stage 2. Big downer. Update: Just received text from Grimwood, reads "No, it's f**ked, R35 hella quick!!" I see Weeks is first, Jimmy second, Jones in the 35 = third! Early on and I'm watching with interest!
  20. Looks cosy, and nice monkey bars
  21. Done and done Harry, thanks
  22. I'm keen, assuming my things all tuned by then
  23. Yeh thats terrible luck. As Giant said, hope he's gonna be fine and the car's repairable.
  24. Oh sorry guys. lol... shoulda thought! PROLOGUE - KAYENA - ROSSARDEN - LIENA - There's another 35 odd stages to upload once I work out how to trim them up. I don't know how to trim video up so some you'll need to FF about 2 minutes or so. Timmy had to turn the camera on, wind the window up, get everthing sorted etc, theres always plenty to do Oh, and forgive my prologue perfomance, gearbox mount. Savman's got a bunch on there too.
