October 19 is a QR run thing? If so, I'll get onto it as well. I wasn't aware there was another one after this weekend, would have got myself organised to do some suspension tuning. Didn't think there was much use doing it before it closed, nothing to compare against doh. Edit: Just spotted it on the QR website and faxed the entry Will actually be a sad day I reckon, love the track just how it is.....

Hope to see you again this year Wogboy..... maybe time for a bit more of a chat hey!?!? Don't suppose your tyre machine is run flat capable?
-
I'm there! (Assuming they've accepted my entry, haven't heard otherwise?)

JAson, PM Giant, he might be able to help you with MU pads. What kinda Skline you got, and how much power? Also, Lakeside is on this Sunday, maybe you'd like to come join us out there for the last run before it's closed for renovations? Edit: just saw you have a 32 GTR. Those original (assuming?) cross drilled rotors won't last long at a track day, you might be better served investing up front in a set of DBA 2500 rotors and pads of your choice, assuming it's not overly powerful, because then you'll really need to upgrade the whole shootin match.

LOL.... how about an Evo? hahaha, that'd be a turn around!
-
Well thats the top ten sorted then

Dunc, hopefully there'll be at least four there, Quinny has a couple now too Well done Kel, hopefully she'll have a ball! Snowy, Melinda Both is rebuilding her RA to a 22B replica as well, her and Paul may be of some use in getting some deals on multi buys of things like the aftermarket wide guards etc? PM me if you want her number mate.

Marlin replied to johnbarry88's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Dude, am I seeing things or have you got that plumbed back into the intake side after it goes through the can? -
HCR32044167 Thank you my good man

Go Platinum you tossers!!!!!!!!!!

Assuming you have the Power FC hand controller, take a look at the voltage readings of your airflow meters. They should be showing a voltage with a max difference of about 10%. I had a similar issues many moons ago on mine and it was a meter.
-
Dude, where are they? I've sent you PM's asking with nothing heard back from you.
-
Thanks Chris Very easy to do, just rivetted to the original. I find it help in situations where for whatever reason you may get a long brake pedal, there's far less chance of going for a heel/toe and getting under the accel pedal.

Any picture updates for these fine folk Russ? Can't wait for Friday!

I don't follow F1 closely anymore and missed last weeks race, but this was the first race that I've been able to easily stay awake for the entire thing, right through to the post race interviews Good stuff young man

R8 GT3 looks sweet as don't it , although I think the price was alot more acheivable for the Lamb. Now, I gotta rustle up 30k from somewhere to do the Sepang 12hr with him!!!!

Yeh good chat tossa! lol Hey, as an aside, called Deano friday for a chat. He was picking up his "new" toy... not a tarmac rally car but still of interest I guess... if you like that kinda thing. And orange, you gotta like orange. Should go a bit of alright at Sandown I reckon aye Snowy? http://www.flickr.com/photos/8015926@N02/s...57601282088255/

Sure does Torque MONSTA!
-
lol.. no, not at all Take a second look and see juuust how many there was Not making excuses, but I will anyway I hadn't driven the car since Dutton Vic, and there something definately wrong with the gearbox mount, or shifter ball, or something, coz it was bad! I struggled all Tugga and I'm not know for rushing gears...... and the crew didn't dig too deep looking... beers were more attractive it seems
-
lol... yeah it's a bit of fun Mt Buller last did a similar prologue in 2006, but apparently a couple of likely regulars were continually spinning/outbraking themselves and making it too dangerous. Only the silly folk/heroes go really hard in prologue, as it doesn't leave you any buffer in front of the sweep car (at Targa and most others fastest prologue car leaves last). Get behind the sweep, she'll all over for the day....... lol... by the way, how many seconds you reckon the missed gears cost us?
-
Indeed we have! Lovin the Nuss Whats the bet Russ wnats to park the 35 and cage up the Nuss?

Been keeping an eye on this thread and can't understand why you WA folk think that Snowman was trying to somehow downplay Steve awesome achievement or indeed the new GTR's obvious pace. The way I read it and still agree with him is that it was an absolutley outstanding effort from the team, that means driver, navigator, support crew, and of course the GTR. I'll admit that I haven't competed in Targa west, but from what has been relayed to me over the years and it's quite obvious is that it's an extremely fast event, far over the FIA road rally approval speed if it weren't for the inordinate amount of chicanes and RSZ's. Therefore, the conditions are VERY different to what you'll find in the Tasmanian or events like Mt Buller, Lake Mountain. In these latter events, average speeds between chicanes etc are (and I'm guessing here) closer to 100 klm/h as opposed to 200 klm/h. It is obvious that the Lambo, Porshes, and now the GTR are going to revel in those fast stages, but it is in these more common, "slower" stages that become the great leveller and allow the STi's/Evo's et all clamber back some ground because that's where those vehicles are in their element. well, at least that's whats happened in the past! It is certainly going to be some interesting times ahead, with plenty of tarmac rallies on the calender in the next twelve months, we don't have long to wait and see whether the GTR is the absolute freak most of us expect it be! One can only be amazed at how quick they'll be expected to be once good road racing rubber is developed for them! Once again, huge congrats to Steve and his obviously excellent nav (whos name is escaping me right now) on a great result! Now, I'm off to blow Steve Glenney for dusting Richards in his GT2 by MINUTES in a dry Targa Tasmania! what was Glenney driving? A lowly Evo VII up specced to a IX is what!!!!

So leave at least a solid day for a good recce Snowy for Wrest point, I'd recommend two days for you to settle in, have a beer etc.... It's GTR country down that way buddy! Nice n bumpy n grotty
-
Yes Troy, as I've discussed with you elsewhere about the cheating phenomenon, it's just not my style. I'd rather wax the Porshes in a true sh*tter The wheel nuts are fine, it's just the picture, no interference there as all. I'm saving for a set of RAYS nuts though.... I couldn't even find any all the same colour! The seats are the best ever... it came with them and I was stoked. Having used them for the last two Targas, spending six solid days in them, I know that are simply the most comfortable and supportive seat I've ever tried. Thanks for your nice comments too
