They are early 80's Mitsubishi Lancer 2000 Turbo's. Had a close look at one that has running in Targa Tasmania a few times. Like a Starion but in a narrowish Sigma-esq body.

Yeh, that movement is pretty normal, they bang around on the mounts alot when tagging the limiter. Try yours this morning in the garage...... go out, start er up, and bang that limiter! And me too.... I rate Bris on the limiter

Well done Noel! Roy... not bloody much! The allowed to do list is short, basically; Turbo back exhaust. Fuel system now free. ECU/boost control free. Not allowed list is long. No 'cooler upgrade. No camor gear change. No air intake change. No turbo change. Nothing internal. Basically, NA guys can go to town, turbos are limited. And probably rightly so for a more level playing field.

Geez dun he ever! lol Brisby will be watchin that over n over. And over Missed gear then massive limiter hold at 5:30 to 5:40 is gold... .then again at 5:10. Woulda thought he'd be better off using the massive torque of that V10 hey!

haha, trust you Roy Harry's close to me in his Supra, there's only .2 seconds in it I can tell you there's nothing left in mine as it stands now unfortunately. Lakeside is a very high average speed track and my little jigger just lacks in the power stakes. It's pretty awesome on the picks now though and still very quick in early and mid corner (even on these very old 02g's that haven't worn an ounce in 300 track klms). Hopefully I can get everything sorted out for the 21st and see if I can better my best

I can't say I've seen any unregistered cars there, but yeh, cages/stripped sure. Mine and Chris's but two examples...... hope they give you a fair go, if for no other reason that I don't wish to be slapped around by a daily driven Supra on raod rubber! lol

Yeah thats right mate, inside I know what you're thinking.... but I'm trying to stay within the rules for the futures sake. I saw them just before the pit exit, tower, peak of hill before the bustop, and under dunlop. I passed the static fine, but 7k odd past the tower in 4th was well over. 5th cured it there but no way can I use 5th around the back. As you know there was other cars that sounded heaps louder to the ear but passed ok. The westerly wind that was blowing hard last time wouldn't have helped I don't reckon either.

Hey Harry. Just remebered that I didn't tell you I got pinged for noise on both days. My car is not what anyone would call noisy either! The official sound max is now 95db at peak (they were giving us to 99db on the strait). Mine was going 102 so I had to short shift to fifth before the tower but then they moved up the the bus stop and I triggered it there to in 4th I need to organise a new system now. Just thought I'd advise you incase your Datto has a note.
