  1. You will indeed! As I will see you too! On an aside, have you spoken to Whitey about this twin engine cart series thingy he's got going at the moment? Sounds like alot of fun! Such good fun AND value I'm seriously considering joining in and travelling to Tas to compete each round.
  2. I'm strapping in with Dean Grant from Melbourne, he's purchased the ex White 34 GTR. Dean's done alot of circuit racing (Porsche Carrera Cup etc) and been really quite successful as a privateer, and has also done Mt Buller a few times too. He seems like a level headed guy with realistic goals (and above all wants to keep it on the black stuff), so yeah, I'm in! Yew Hoo!! See ya there boys! Ben
  3. It's official! I have a seat for this year!
  4. Aren't 32 N1 lights same as 32 non-turbo lights? IMO, "N1" lights suck! Ugly as.
  5. PM'd you Tommy.
  6. Ditto... thanks, photos are fantastic!
  7. Yes it does sound good. Tried for it last year but just got caught up with pre-targa fun... like buying some old bombs and motorcross tracking them with Whitey and crew... lol This year I'm sussing out a navigating with someone else (advertised on the Targa site), so hopefully that'll come off! Cheers, Ben
  8. No need to fix! Woollett the Boollett. Or, "The Woollett Boollett" Boollett = Bullet
  9. Haha.. was gonna say that but didn't wanna flame too much!
  10. Most fun reading up 'til now.. good work lads! lol Do you guys really think that a real life successful businessman (or lotto winner) seriously interested in a Z Tune is going to allow his son to call a dealer and say *in a high-pitched voice* "Yeah, Dad doesn't care how much it costs, we just want it". Give me a break! lol
  11. Well done Boollett!
  12. Um, turbocharged vehicles are classified as larger capacity to allow a more even competition with NA vehicles.
  13. Navs don't need gloves, you'd never be able to turn the pages reliably. I hope to get back this year, and am on the hunt for a spot in the silly seat (would love to get a gold plate). My driver has decided to start a family and amongst other commitments he is understandably not competing again. With regard to your license, you can also do a couple of hours at a performance driving venue, like we did, at Holden Performance Driving at Yatala, Qld, I think? That gets around finding suitable events. (Bear in mind the driving test method must be approved by SCAMS, oops, CAMS.
  14. Try Fastway. They do pre-paid freight. Can't insure though. TNT is a better bet, maybe you know of someone with an account #?
  15. Yeah no worries, figured you'd know them. We didn't have any issues with oil temp in Tassy at all. Hope to see you there one day! cheers!
  16. Hey Snowy, maybe you have already, but having done a 34 V-spec II for targa Tas this year, you might wanna go right through the rules of mods mate. To enter a car legally as an N1, it needs to have everything to factory N1 spec. Meaning, for eg., you need to purchase a genuine 34 N1 oil cooler kit, at, wait for it.... $11,000 when we last checked!!!! P*SS OFF!! lol.... so we ran with a V-Spec II with some susp/boost/exhaust/Power FC. Came 11th with full dry weather that didn't suit us.... oh, with no brakes after lunch on day 3! lol

    35 Gtr...

Sounds like a pretty quick 'box to me? DSG style/sequential/automatic? Still alot of speculation I see, what you reckon Rick?
  18. Well I hope I am wrong... like I say was only throwing up what I heard this morning. Gotta disagree that they NEED this title though, as it'll be virtually eclipsed by the title of fastest R35 GTR (or whatever they'll code it), due to it being a currently available car. Just my humble opinion.
  19. I've just heard (from a normally perfectly reliable source) that the HKS car is in pieces, and there's no plans to rebuild it at this stage. My source said he often speaks to one of the chief engineers at HKS via email, as he had stated that there no no use in continuing developement of the RB26, as it's now superseded. The majority of their efforts in engineering and more importantly advertising are focused the VQ series of engines and associated vehicles. He went on to say that HKS America now calls all the shots for all english speaking markets, and they also have no plans to put money into the 33 GTR drag car. So take from that what you like, I just thought it worthwhile to relay what I'd heard. I was getting my hopes up for a while there! lol Cheers, Ben
  20. Hell yeah! That'd be one to see! So, who works for QANTAS??
  21. Duncan, it's my belief that you certainly don't need a 303+ (although we do use one) for an event like Targa, a simple 202 is more than adequate. As a nav (and we always pace-note), I find it absolutely neccessary to have some form of very accurate trip meter in front of me, as often the driver is too busy in his own little word to give me distances even on a transport. AND, they are very useful for notifying the driver when an obstacle may be coming up (car off, dead 'roo, whatever) when you've been notified by stage officials. As for coms, we use a Peltor with the audio outlet, works fine, but does cancel a fair bit of the car sound out when recording to tape. So maybe there's something better for getting all the sounds onto tape???
  22. Well, I've had a C's shifter for years and fn loved it! Wouldn't be without it. This is a C's STYLE though, so buyer beware re quality.
  23. Would this suit a '95 Pajero V6 as well? I'd like it to run a 10.
  24. I can't remeber their width, but they're certainly not 9's, more like 7 or 7.5, but we used to run Ford ED/EF factory alloys (Fairmont or XR6 I think) on the blue 33. Might be worth a look mate.
  25. Not so much spinning, but tearing at the top layers of track.
