  1. Ummmmmm.... thanks Damo? lol
  2. Stop talkin about poofy real race cars This is a Skyline forum, get your RB love back out I got bored saturday, pulled mine apart a bit more.... I've decide to put the GTR gaurds on that I've had for ages, and pump the rear a lot. Roy has also very kindly sent me his spare TD06 truck turbo kit to try/buy. Thanks again mate I'm on the hunt for some 18x10.5" wheels in GTR offset guys, if you have/know of any? I figure why run the car in "slow" Targa spec all year in the hope of doing one event. I think it's easier to mod this car how I want it, and if I do decide another Targa is on the cards, just to buy an already setup Emo and sell it or put it in the rubbish bin after the event.
  3. Ok cheers Unlikely, kinda pulled the car apart more. haha
  4. I mainly want to know what the best way is for me. I have a fuel system in the boot, just a surge and a pump on the boot floor basically. Obviously it's seperated from the cabin area by a "flame proof" partition. My question is, under CAMS, can I mount my battery securely on the other side of the boot, or does it need to be seperate, vapour wise, from the fuel system? ie, In a sealed box venting externally. I want to avoid having to use a battery box, if only for weight. I'm anal about weight..... why spend an hour finding 300 grams just to add it back with a stupid battery box?
  5. I always take things too literally. I'm still recovering from the last time someone told me to "get stuffed". Boy that hurt.
  6. Well, when the engine is running, it is charging
  7. I'm sorry mate, I just saw this post! Of course I have some tyres you can boorow, but I'm afraid you might have needed them for Morgan Park?! You know my number you should have called me! You'll need to show me how to work the Harry timer properly mate, I'm a plug n play guy, not into learning new stuff. Seems anything new that goes into the grey matter, ejects something else of more importance!
  8. Maybe I'm over-reacting? Tell me what you make of this text guys?
  9. My 32 currently has a normal battery in the normal space, but I have an Odyssey dry cell to go in the boot, and reading the side of the battery it says it still produces vapours and should be vented externally? Ummmm, WTF?
  10. LOL, sounds awesome! I'm starting the "name and shame!" chant
  11. Gosh, I'd love to be at a BBQ with you.
  12. What annoys me is the national motoring magazines have done virtually nothing to try and turn this situation around. Sure, they whinge and moan about the state of the speed policing system, but as a whole they've done nothing tangible toward the cause. One would think that if anyone had the ability to highlight and help fight, it would be these magazines. They're always quick to jump on tele telling us of the latest Car of the Year, or whinge about fuel prices, but how about actually making a consolidated effert to band the Aussie public together via the magazine to actually do something about this!? I'd think it would even sell more mags if we needed to purchase same to keep up with the latest developements. The Australian public (well Qld at least) asked for this themselves 30 odd years ago when we voted via referendum to Not have every disputed offence dealt with in court. It was effectively a mandate to hold us by our ankles and shake like hell..
  13. Going great thanks buddy! I think you'll regret selling, but I guess we always do at some stage! Nothings forever Make sure we get together for a brew or three when you're down!
  14. I know this car. I know the owner well. It's an absolutely unbelievable 34, and as he says, not a corner has been cut. Good luck Fair Dinkum!
  15. I can't agree with you more Baron. Further, I think we should all be banding together and nominating you as the public voice of The Australian Motorist.
  16. True true Timmy, true!
  17. They came back but were well past their best. However, the stage wasn't long enough (9klm) to "cruise" for a section in the hope they came back in stage, I just stayed into it. After a few punishing runs they blistered and I was pulling strips off them by hand..... I near binned it on the second last run, and had to cruise for the final run rather than risk one letting go altogether.
  18. Yeah the A050 is def the gun at the moment, just be careful not to overheat them. I punished the rears at Mt Stuart Rally trying to beat a cheater Emo and blistered them badly, could have badly bent the car (near did) or worse, hurt my man Timmy (I'd never stick it in my side!).
  19. Remember Timmy...... if you're serious, cut down the road, not across the track FYI, I woulda run a fresh set of rubber
  20. You're sure going to need some brakes A cage doesn't need to be weld in, a proper, I stress proper bolt in would do you just fine. Re the 'box... fair enough too mate when a S6 Hollinger and other requirements to run/fit it add up to around $22k! That's why I suggest dry sumping that lovely engine instead.... that'll cost around 10k to do it once, do it right. On any serious GTR it's one mod that is very much worth doing, and it will save you costly rebuilds down the track. Never have an oil issue ever again, it'll be totally out of your mind, and you'll be busy having fun while all the other guys are emptying catch cans and mopping up oil lol.... If you need a good box, let me know. We have a virtually brand new latest spec (upgraded selectors) PPG full dog box to suit you here for $6k. Ready to bolt in
  21. Ahhhh a voice of reason Glad you piped up I was feeling a little weighed down by some of these upstarts lol I've decided I really wanna head back Greg.....
  22. Hold off on the box and dry sump the big girl..... She'll thank you for it, and so will your wallet if you're serious about track time.
  23. Now THAT, I like.... but surely friend, you could have thrown in a "our giant ranga mate" or a "ginga kunte" in there somewhere?!
  24. You need to put the cereal box in front of you and read that over breakfast instead of letting such drivvle enter your head. If you're having temp control issues with your car, well, I'm sorry, but you're doing something seriously wrong! lol A tougher, more reliable, easier to work on, cheaper to maintain, Track Car, is bloody hard to find.
  25. Yes yes you did Dan, ummmmmm....... LOOK!!!!! PUPPIES!!!!!
