  1. I can only wish to do all the rallies you lot do!
  2. I was asked to drive for Kennard in his Spec C STi (the ex-Denyer car from 2007) but decided against it, one reason being my lack of experience with MUCH quicker cars overtaking. I think that woulda been frightening on Conrod with Deano is his Mosler banging my wing mirrors off with a 100klm/h speed difference. Kennard has decided to share a car with Herridge instead of trying to put his own crew together. Hopefully its a great event with minimal incidents!
  3. Yeah, off topic, but I'm suprised the drifters are running again, make the track filthy, not good for times.
  4. How about lining it up for the practice day prior to Superlap? Could tie in well, have a chat to Ian mate!
  5. I'd be more than happy to take you for a few laps in any one of the classic Nissans Craig. Let me know a date and time that suits.
  6. You notice this quite a bit on white ones, not usually as prominent on darker ones though. My opinion is it's just a build up of grime. A bit of TLC will get it off but to do a really superb job and get everywhere you need to unbolt a few things to move them around and out of the way. Front guard has clearly been off that car which of course is common at that age, but still, make sure you take a good look around it and make sure its straight and that the guard has only been off for cosmetic repairs, not structural.
  7. I run 285/30 on my 10.5' and they're slightly stretched. They could easily take a 295, or even a 305, but what is now a very slight rub might turn into a more substantial one. My car is lowered.

    My New Gearbox

^ Doubtful. More likely a failed solenoid. We struck a similar issue on Giant's. AFAIK, Nissan OZ techs aren't qualified to pull the boxes apart, so a complete replacement is fitted and the originals go back to be remanufactured.
  9. My nuts are way bigger than yours, and I have no problem. At least with a 5 point it's much easier to keep the side straps down over your thighs where they're meant to be, and not trying to ride up over your guts.
  10. Those be some rare side indicators mate, off an Aussie delivered GTR.
  11. Good info, thanks mate. Serious catch 22 situation.
  12. Harry, I have a Cobra Evolution seat you're welcome to borrow. Heck, use the 5 point harness too! I'll be removing the passenger side out of my GTS-t for this event. Unfortunately the classes will never suit averybody. Last year I aimed to run in street class but a cage put an end to that even though the car is otherwise very mildy modified. I reckon it'd just be cool to run at the event
  13. Yeah mate I reckon an ex gt2 or gt3 type car would be good, corvette etc assuming you could find a tyre big enough. Or how about one of those RX8s that run in the American Lemans series? Giddyup! Or...... dare I say a Camaro?
  14. I got a good larf n that ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-oFZCMpTJE&feature=player_embedded#!
  15. I hope not too! ..... but I'm sure the Tassie connection would have informed me by now.
  16. Benson you sly old dog you
  17. No
  18. Panoz sounds like a fit Holden 253 "thong clapper" to me
  19. Sound tracks "Of the Year"?? Pffft, Pahlease!
  20. Did you die?
  21. It's a fantastic little track Chris, you need to find the time to get up here mate I'm 1240 no driver from memory when I last corner weighted it. Mine's screaming for a front splitter, it improved with undertray, splitter hopefully a step better. If I can get the front to tie up a bit better I can wind some wing back in on the rear.
  22. Having driven Berry's 34 with circa 520AWKW, I think that is approaching somewhere near enough. For a daily driver anyway.
  23. The original forum link is on my other computer.... but here it is in a nutshell; http://jalopnik.com/5349440/how-to-build-a-500-hp-v10-e30-m3
  24. Surely you mean the one with the V10 M5 Roy?
  25. You'll remember thats the very car my Irish mate sold to a dude at the burger Ring on the spot when he blew the engine? He's really done a speccy job on that.
