  1. they run a GT40 from the factory, quite large indeed.
  2. R32 GTR N1 R32 GTR V spec 2 (500 or so) R31 GTS-R
  3. They're all just proud to be playing a team sport on and off the field
  4. Lets see one on the street hook up half as well as a gtr
  5. Just a quick thought here. Was it running a standard ecu with the z32's when you got it?? IF so when you changed the AFM's to standard im guessing you didn't have the computer remapped to suit the standard afm's?? This could be one part of your problem now as if you had a standard ecu with z32 afm's your ecu has definately been remapped, which isn't really a bad thing, but in changing to a standard air flow meter the ecu is going to be getting incorrect signals from the standard airflow meter. IF i was you i'd take it to a good workshop, sit down and talk to them about it, put all the gear it came out with back on and see how you go.
  6. As merli mentioned, these cams can be sorted out if you don't want them to be lumpy, but then again there is a customer of that certain tuning shop that has those cams and has them dialed in to be a little on the lumpy side. You can definately go either way and i personally would not discount the cams because they are going to be lumpy. You can have big cams without having problems with idle. It all depends on how there setup.
  7. Thanks for all the help guys, I've pretty much decided on a course of action. I'll let everyone know how it goes once im sorted with it.
  8. Geez when my 32 gtr went over the weighbridge to get rego'd for the first time it smacked down 1510kgs with 1/3rd of a tank!
  9. Congrats on the results!! sounds like a very nice package As for the turbo's longevity, i've never heard of anyone out here having trouble with them at all. Pete at advan backs them to the hilt, reckons they're the best bolt on low mounts along with 2530's. It's funny there not having that problem in japan. Maybe they don't like english weather haha :headspin:
  10. LW, i'm a big fan of the dba 4000 series after the experience i had with my soarer. It did have a bit of power behind it and after changing to the DBA 4000 series rotor's up front it stopped miles better than before. Stopping repeatedly from high speed was a real option where as before on the standard discs you'd get some bad fade after a few hard stops. If it can stop a tank like that every time without any fuss I'd definately reccomend it for a 32R I'll let you know when mine go on which should be sometime in the next month or so.
  11. only got registered today and so far it's got the following: $225 rear strut brace $1000 brembo's $30 door trim $550 front pipes =$1805 for 1 day rego lol, expensive toys but who here would have it any other way?????
  12. too much. It was a mutually agreeable end to an awkward situation due to the other similar white 32 that was there being built by some sea hunt's and being an abortion of a thing after 10 months of work on it.
  13. hey franks, i bought that white one that you test drove
  14. I was under the impression that they were both rated at the same level, around the 600hp area, but the 040 had a flat bottom with a filter built into it as it was designed to be an in tank pump, where as the 044 was designed to be an external pump. For 32 GTR's the tomei pump apparently flows 700hp or so and bolts right in, you do pay for it big time though.
  15. thats fine, as i said before, the budget was for modification, not for ongoing maintenance which is sorted out. I am well aware of what these things cost to run and maintain. I have a budget for this and it's all being catered for. is that 100,000kms aussie or 100,000kms jap? because according to my odometre i'd still have 45,000kms to go on the latter wear indicates closer to 130ish
  16. I've seen an SR20 with 4 cappucino turbo's on it...
  17. yeah i wasn't planning on it, but the clutch it's coming with is a stocker and it's slipping like buggery so the place im getting it off has put a brand new stock clutch in there. I figured it'll hold for a few months or so, it's a weekend car anyways.
  18. Hey guys, i've basically got a 89 model 32 gtr and i'm tossing up spending about 6K or so on it. Basically im looking for a nice quick streeter, but also something that will handle the occaisional track day. So far the mods are as follows brand new stock clutch HKS pods front pipe cat back Brake master cylinder stopper slotted discs good pads coilovers oil cooler avs 17" rims front & rear strut braces a few guages etc basically i'd like some opinions on what i should go for next. I'm kinda split 50/50 at the moment between changing the turbo's or just looking to optimise what i've got, ie cams, ecu, fuel pump, injectors etc. any feedback welcome
  19. if thats true then i wonder what taleb tyres down the road is!
  20. dude a t04r definately won't flow 1000hp, they are rated at the about 700ps, great responsive street setup. good luck with the car champ sounds like a beast!
  21. ahh well, richards is out in front again and for a skyline to catch him now is going to be a huge effort, especially if the problem with the white's 34 doesn't improve.
  22. Nice work steve sounds like it's one great drift biatch
  23. Congrats on the times adrian it's good to see someone's taking a different approach than most! and big congrats on the 60 footer, 1.6's on a street car is awesome it'll be interesting to see how the bottom end holds out with some increasingly bigger shots
  24. Welcome to the fray my 89 gtr should be on the road by the end of the week as well, fingers crossed
