Not calipers but rotors probably yes. If DS2500's can wreck DBA4000's like they do, I imagine DS3000's or even higher temp rated pads would likely do worse. Perhaps DBA5000's would be enough but I wouldn't know because I went the G4's instead in which I use the "street" pads on the street and the "track" pads on the track. I've got Bendix Ultimates in the stock rear calipers which I don't change.
Damn goons everywhere you look. I'll be 3rd in line behind Steveo with $50. It's more than I've got but I'm willing to rob a granny to get it to you Bobby.
Oh damn, maybe I forgot to mention the sway bars.
From my hazy memory I was running mid 1:11's with RE55's, then high 1:11's with sway bars, brakes and streeters, then mid 1:08's with sway bars, brakes and old slicks.
Don't take the bloody front bar off you goon! Have a look at the oil filter area and look for two hoses of 2-3cm diameter coming out from a sandwich plate (about 2-3cm thick) sitting between the oil filter and the block. If you find the hoses, follow them down the yellow brick road to nirvana.
1:11's on new enough RE55's and 1:08.5 with old 2nd hand slicks. My shocks are totally stuffed so if I can find some money for a rebuild of them I will go and have another crack. I nearly came in my pants every time I did a 1:08 so imagine how excited I'll get if I pull a 1:07.9999999!
I can't search.
