  1. I couldn't get on the forums this morning because this lovely error greeted me. Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: skin_global_12 in /home/websites/93/www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sources/ipsclass.php on line 1333 Snowman being the nice Vic presedent he is set my skin to SAU Light Background which let me in. If i go and change it back to Dark i get the same error. So who broke it? I suggest you do a mass update of everyone to the Light skin - who knows how many people are stuck and can't get on the forums because of this.

  3. I drive my car everyday, make over 300rwkw with GT-SS which spool up as quick if not quicker than stock turbos. I don't really have a problem driving it on the street in traffic, plenty of pull wherever i need it. It isn't like a V8 where you have instant throttle response at 2000rpm. But I don't agree about 400hp at the crank being to much for the 2.6litre. I'd be making about 500hp at the crank with no problems daily driving. I'm still thinking you might be a little upset at your choice of turbo for what you wanted it for, the turbo you went for was a little laggy for street, with something smaller like the GT-SS you may have been happier. To the OP: if you don't want to go any faster than you already are, stick with your GTS4. If you want to go faster, the GTR has the potential.

  5. haha sorry i didn't want to insult you since its the first place you check - but wasn't sure what you knew coming from a WRX background. If you haven't done so already, check the fluid, its in your boot on the drivers side, probably behind a peice of carpet. It takes normal ATF if i remember correctly. Hope that helps Also in future, don't be afraid to come ask any of us on the day, most of us don't bite.

  7. Don't think theres any difference between the block years. You can get an N1 block which is suppose to be a bit stronger. 1HP = .75KW to help you convert since we usually talk in KW here. so up to around 400rwhp on stock internals ( you can push more but it probably wont last long). 700rwhp is up over 500rwkw, thats bit power.... I think you'd be better going for a 3litre bottom end with an RB26 head and but it won't be easy. Good Luck.

  9. Yeah exactly Jack, nothing too serious so i'm not worried too much. Haha damn turn 2. I always find turn2 and turn3 tricky. Glad the walls are well away from the track No Garretts? not sure why you thought that, i got a set of HKS GT-SS from greenline.....

Yeah I had a bit of trouble, first prac session was ok, but i was taking it pretty easy, 2nd session i went out and had water temp issues which i've never had before, and also some knock which i thought may have been the boost controller since it wouldn't let me adjust anything, but on the way home i gave it some stick and it was fine,(well i still can't adjust boost, its like its locked up). I think it may be issue with heat. But i did get one thing out of the day - 300+ rwkw with street tyres even with a GTR is silly. I'm not gonna bother coming back to the track until i get a set of Semis. But it looks like it was a good day for the rest of you so thats good to hear How did you come off Jack?   11. Hey, Bought a Blitz Boost controller Spec R brand new from Nengun a month ago. Had it installed and tuned/setup by Racepace, and was working perfect until today i went to check on it and i can't change any of the settings. it has 4 settings i can normally go between, 1,2,3,4. There are only 2 knob/buttons but neither actually do anything, its almost like its locked up. Still seems to be doing its job however. Any ideas or is it stuffed already?

  14. It's not just about power, the GTR has a well wicked suspension setup that can be tweaked to fly. I'm not sure about the 180's... On the track you probably don't want softer suspension.... we can speculate all we like on here, only one way to find out take them both to the track I still think there wouldn't be much in it either way, and the GTR has a lot more potential, so I'd stick with the GTR, but up to you. Have you tried looking at some times of modded 180's around a track and stockish GTR's around the same track?

  18. I recon they'd do similar times around the track.... Difference is the 180 is already modded and you can't do much more to it, the GTR is still mostly stock, so you could go faster if you wanted to in the GTR
  19. Hey, I bought a nismo 320km speedo cluster thing for my GTR from someone on these forums. They said it was working perfect etc... I got it about a month ago but haven't had a chance to install it until now. I put it in tonight and everything seems to work except for both the odometers... stuck exactly on 27,000 and 0 for the resetable one..... Its pretty straight forward to install - 3 plugs at the back, before i go back to the person i bought it from and ask for a refund any suggestions/simple fixes? All the lights, tacho/speedo/oil pressure/fuel gauge work perfect, just the ODO won't move

  23. Sounds like you've got the right advice already, you need a decent amount of power to get some decent sound out of them. I actually think you should go for an amp that puts out slightly more power than the speaker can take, and don't turn the gain on the amp up all the way, that way the amp has plenty in it without stressing it.
  24. I always thought the series1 and series2 dash's would be interchangable... which bit didn't fit for you?
  25. Probably missing a Codec. I'm guessing its an mpeg4 codec like Xvid, try downloading ffdshow: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm Don't install DivX, use FFDShow instead. It's smaller and decodes lots of other stuff.
