I agree with Adam.
Not worth fighting it most times. The court system is a long process if you want to fight something, especially without a qualified representative.
With the much appreciated help of Adam, I contested a fine once and got burnt. The judge asked me at the start to prove doubt in the fact that I was not at fault. I had the charging police officer admit in court that he doubted that I should have been charged but was just charged as a matter of course.
My fine was doubled and I still lost my points.
As I left the court, the judge wanted my supporting evidence because I had some scientific data to show why I was not at fault. He wanted to study it.
I walked out a sorry man, that had spent months worrying, gathering information, studying, and being dicked around. The police laughed at me when I hoped in my car outside, litteraly.
