yea mate mines been working fine for 6 months so far, it died once when i first got it and didnt have the trickle charger, since i have gotten the trickle charger i have had no problem... it died from my alarm draining it though.. it cost me around $150 from memory and had a CCA rating of 550 or 600+ maybe..

Yea a previous owner actually painted the stock 34r wheels white on mine, but I bought the car without these... I actually have a pic of the car with the white vspecii bonnet onit before it got painted yellow.. Actually looked kind of good ha. Would love to get some pics of them together mate, next time I'm in sydney with the car I might have to stop in... And if for some reason your going through newcastle with the car, let me know

Ok, early next month is abit busy as well I think the lowdown has a show on the 30th I was thinking of going to.. And there is also a car show in Newcastle on the 1st I think.. Could maybe do next weekend, or around the 7th of next month?

ha nice one! ha hopefully yours is up and running so we can have another 34R in the mix! I think even a general meet and greet could be good for SAU Newcastle... Should we start with a rough time... like maybe mid next month?... need to think of a Pub, overlooking a big carpark maybe?... any ideas?...

Yea will have to organize a cruise some time soon, anyone have some routes put them forward? I'm thinking of going to the autobahn meet this Thursday if it's not raining and it's actually on?

Thought i would start up a thread as my other one was abit off topic and this is for general stuff... Post here any local interest, anything relative to newcastle and surronding areas etc. Any potential cruise or meets, introduce your self, post up reminders for meets etc.. whatever you want. any other ideas, post it! yea i use a trickle charger on mine. good for the battery, and my alarm drains my battery pretty quick.. only probably drive mine once a fortnight or something... i bought a new battery when i got it about 6 months ago, but i can remeber what i got, i just took it out and went to super cheap and got one that was of at least the same rating or better, and the same size of course...

might be a safer bet just doing the north end of putty road instead?... ha im doing some proposal design work for Broke road, might improve soon! might need to start a new thread soon for SAU newcastle chitchat.. this is abit off topic, not that i mind, just might get more input with a different title?

I had this problem when i purchased my car, it had been sitting in storage and the tyres were very old and the rubber had turned very hard, I got new wider wheels with brand new rubber and it drove much, much better... so im thinking that your problem is tyres?.. either age, pressure, profile or a combination etc?... having said that sometimes on roads you can get abit of a kick from the wheels following grooves in the road, but maybe thats just a Characteristic of wide tyres combined with bad roads?...

have heard this story before, pretty sure it is a fib... dont think any 34Rs were aust delivered.

ha i remeber when i was 17-18 the huge car meets under stockton bridge... took my starion there a few times haha.. was pretty crazy, and can see why that got shut down though... very interested for things to pick up though, would be good to build abit of a community here...
