  1. Meggala has some info on his site!!(where is he when you need him?) anyway here is the link!! http://www.meggala.com/partlist.html MEGA
  2. Stumbled across this on the net the other day! http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Pit/382...23/engines.html And in there they metioned the MA09-ERT 930cc OHC 3 cylinder, 6 valve, turbo and supercharged, EFI 110hp,aparently a micra engine! probably quick too!!, I didn't know that nissan made a supercharger and turbo combo but I knew that toyota experimented with this principal too (toyota crown if I remmeber correctly!) My question is: What advantages would this setup have over a standard supercharger or turbo setup? Can anyone help? MEGA
  3. http://www.autospeed.com/A_0042/article.html this artical from AVO might help!(I also ponderd this question and found this on the net!) MEGA
  4. According to this link 140psi (approx) http://www.skylinegts.co.uk/Project_R32.htm MEGA
  5. NIZ30, That looks really good!!!!(shit hot actually ) The leather stuff matches the Trust stuff under the bonnet!! What sort of glue did you use on the doors?(might try myself) MEGA P.s Send me a PM on how its like in brisbane!(skyline wise!)
  6. turtle, Don't know how to fix on skyline? but on the commadore we had to drain the tank and then remove the tank to fish out the filter! But you might be able to do it with out removing the tank? MEGA
  7. turtle, I sounds to me that there is something lose/broken in your petrol tank?(had the same noise in my Boss's car! and turned out to be the in tank filter had fallen off!wasn't skyline was commonwhore!) Just a thought! MEGA
  8. you'll probably find your standard exhaust is 2 1/4 inch and the HKS is 3 inch then all you need is a 2 1/4 to 3 inch adapter that can be ordered at any local exhaust shop!(or you could take the car and the muffler to the shop and ask them how much it will cost to get it attached!) the standard system and the 3 inch take the same route! But will not perform as good as a cat back system and might not be as loud!! MEGA P.s if you made a flange and welded it to a 3 - 2 1/4 chrome tip you could use this as a reducer to join it to your standard exhaust!(just a thought because you can buy these tips anywhere and just paint it black when your done!)
  9. Yes it can be fabricated with ease!! but most exhaust shops have straight through resonators just not HKS brand!!(should be just as quiet!) just make sure you get the ones with the perfirated pipe not fluted (perf looks like someone drilled heaps of holes in it!)and the rest is just a few mandrel bends!(make sure there mandrel bends) and then you should have something just like the HKS brand stuff!!(I know this because I made my own exhaust for my car!!) MEGA P.s the converter i showed you was off a RX7 s6
  10. The item you are pointing at is just a resonator its basically just straight through and is fiberglass packed the photo is basically a cat back system consisting of two resonators and a rear muffler!!(all straight through being a super dragger system!) MEGA P.s a converter usually look like this!
  11. Didn't think that you could use RB26 crank in a RB25? (maybe I don't know? ) RB25DE Bore x Stroke (mm) 86.0 x 71.7 RB26DETT Bore x Stroke (mm) 86.0 x 73.7 Might work but to what benefit? I have seen RB26 heads on RB25s and a few RB26 heads on RB30s and even RB25 head on a RB30 but none used internal parts from the RB26!! this is a site showing the benefits of such a head convesion!(RB25 head on RB30 block) http://www.autospeed.com/A_0004/article.html MEGA
  12. I have read somewhere(on the net) that the NISSAN RB20DET/RB25DE/RB25DET/RB26DETT are interchangeable(this is backed up by the fact that the JUN flywheels for these engines are the same part number!) and the factory ones are made from cast!(don't know what grade steel?) Some aftermarket ones are made from forged Chrome-molybdenum steel!(and some are even made from Aluminum!!) but I'am not quite sure about the pressure plate though because they would probably have different clamp pressures! But the pressure plate(standard) is made of Nodular iron!! MEGA P.s but don't trust me because I drive an auto!!!(will be manual very soon! :uh-huh: )
  13. if you use a 1/2 inch impact gun (Pneumatic/electric) you will be able to remove the nut! there the same tools you see racecar mechanics removing the wheels from the racecar! the action of the impact gun moves so fast that the shaft hardly gets the chance to move!(have snaped the same thing on a customers car and had to use impact gun!)Most mechanics use Pneumatic tools for this reason and because it speeds up the job!! This is the easiest way that I know to remove the nut with out useing a grinder!!! MEGA P.s now all you need to do is find someone with a compessor and impact gun that you can use/borrow when you do the job!(or you could take the strut to them!!)
  14. when you changed the pads did you notice any shims/small peice of tin on the old pads or caliper?(might have left them out by accident!) they usually have them to take up the slack between the pad and caliper!,sometimes have them attatched to the back of the pad! the ones attatched to the pad are called supressors! MEGA
  15. that code is the Vehicle speed sensor not present code! from what I remember they're located on the inside of the front wheels or near the rear diff! (just look for a wheel with notches around the outside and a sensor closeby)Check the plugs on the sensors(might be faulty sensor though!)But if your r33 is equiped with ABS then the ABS light would come on aswell? Sorry I couldn't be more helpfull! MEGA
  16. Sorry top_secret but rs73 wanted to know this! Final Drive Ratio The reduction ratio of the transmission gear(differential) set furthest from the engine. In other words, the ratio of the number of rotations of the drive shaft for one rotation of a wheel. In general, a low final drive ratio results in better fuel efficiency, and higher final drive ratio results in better performance!!! The ratio expresses the number of turns required by the pinion (which is attached to the output shaft of the transmission) to turn the drive axle one revolution, i.e. 2.73:1 means the pinion must turn 2.73 times to turn the drive axle once. A higher number means a lower (or shorter) gear. Short gearing gives quicker acceleration, but because the engine must turn faster, gas mileage and top speed are lower. Tall gears give better acceleration and higher top speed, at the expense of acceleration. MEGA
  17. Haven't paid for mine yet but it will cost $6500 AUS for R32! I've heard them go for $7000-8500 for engine/gearbox/electrics Big thanks to japtaxi for the much needed info!! MEGA P.s try http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au/nissa...san_engines.htm for more info.
  18. I hit speedlimiter at 180kph and car would not go any faster(a bit like hitting the revlimiter only at lower revs) at only 4800 rpm in overdrive!!(yes I drive an auto) MEGA
  19. This must be the thread? http://forums.skylinesaustralia.com/showth...highlight=garth Thanks NIZ30 I will give him a call next time I need something!! I actually heard that there was a importer in Rocky but didn't know how to get in contact with them! MEGA :whip:
  20. http://www.exvitermini.com/movies/wngn0.mpg This is probably the best description of speed I have seen!!! R33 doing 300+ km/h over Tokyo Bay bridge!!!! This and other movies can be found on Mario's site http://www.exvitermini.com/ in the movies section / various (most of you probably knew this!!) Mario owns the fastest GTR in OZ!!!(probably knew that too!!!) I too have hit the 180kph speed limiter!! have also done 278kph on my R6 motorbike(now destroyed due to my heavy right wrist!!) on a private road!!(my driveway ha ha ) MEGA
  21. http://homepages.tig.com.au/~robs/hicaslock.htm You wanted to know how to remove hicas! this might help? MEGA P.s like the picture of the girl:uh-huh: !!!!!!!
  22. Aria jap are the guys importing the front cut for me there in sydney!(couple of jap guys that don't talk much english though) Yeah I could go but with no manual and turbo lag I would only get a high 15, so why bother to go if you only get laughed at!!! By the way I crashed the R6(blue motorbike) two weeks ago!!! lucky to be alive today because I landed on my head after collecting a trailer!!(shh probably over 110ish impact speed)will lose licence though!! Not injured though! back at work the next day!! MEGA
  23. well it will have to be thursday night then! MEGA P.s more competition in brisy hey?
  24. NIZ30, Should be getting word from my importer any day now!!,then I'll have a GTR front cut!!(but before they could send it but it fell off the forklift:mad: ,landed on the gearbox and nearly broke in two!) Sure next time I see you in the centre parking, Ill stop to have a chat!! MEGA
  25. http://www.powerlink.co.nz/%7Egraeme/faq/index.html Click on the above link for some handy info!!!!(including aircon diagnostics) MEGA P.s The external wastegate on your car sounds AWESOME!!!!!!
