I was a passenger driving down the mooney mooney bridge on sunday afternoon and the display of carnage left shown by the yellow police markings were enuf to say that it was one mutha of an accident..No shit it started at the start of the bridge or there abouts and it didnt finish untill about half way accross.That turck and driver were absolutly motoring to cause that much carnage.

If you feel like going cheap you can allways get the guys who are advertising on here in the business thread to spray it for a starting price of $1000.I belive they use a booth and bake it the whole 9 yards..Im sure they will send some of there completed job pics to you if you asked them. Cheers. And that is the price spray painters charge for a complete colour change 4-5k..Hope i could help.
  4. Excellent job A++ for the finished product it is excellent.I am doing the same thing to my 33 but it is not on the road at the moment so i have not botherd putting it on yet..Does the cooler sit at a straight 90 degrees.
  5. Hi bangahh how did it turn out with the front bar fitted?Can we get a pic... looks very neat.How much did you pay fro the 180 degree mandrell bend?And have you used the mounts on the bottom on the intercooler to help give it more ridgidity?

There is somthing in me that wants to go through with this conversion when my engine lets go.But then theres somthing saying that i should just leave it and go a forged rods and piston kit complete with gaskets and lighten and balance the stock crank with a ported and polished head and match ported manifolds etc....The engine will be strong enuff for a kick ass turbo to pump up to and over 300rwkw and an 11 second street car is a fast car indeed.

  10. arr and thats where you ran into the tailshaft not getting an optimum enuff angle.Eg..uni's may be under some stress etc..

No matter what cam you go that is larger than the poncams the need for a stronger valve train will still be there.But the larger you do go the more compressed air you can pack into the cylender and he more you will be able to exhaust from the motor. For the first time today i got down to reading the last 10 pages or so of the rb30/25 conversion conversation and i must say that it is an interesting read.And -joel- you have done a great job there . What issues with alignment of the motor have you encounted.Eg..Mounting it back into the stock location.And was the stock tailshaft still able to be used? I read that you said the sump just clears the sway bar.
  13. I do know that if this pully is not reassembled in the right way that the bearing case rubs and makes a whinning & grinding sound and i suppose not long after that the bearings will be stuffed.Go to tight and the effect also worsens...

  19. Go a full exhaust with proper dumps unless you are thinking of upgrading turbos soon.
  20. series 2 afm is it.Cant say if the plug is a direct fit i have never seen.It should be a straight swap they are generic in many ways wouldnt u say.

  22. Sorry no i dont know about the billion. Ask autobarn if they have anything similar and tell them what functions you are looking for in it and they might have it or a similar one.... dont they usually stock davies craig thermo fans and accessories.Why not make it easy for them and go to the davies craig website and have a look through the catolouge and see if they have what you are looking for. Usually if you type in thermo fans on google/similar you would get a larger variety of brand names.Go from there and see what else they have on offer.. Does the controller have to controll twin thermo fans or a single? May i suggest that you know what temp you want the car to run at and set the sensor a little lower so it catches it/temp before it gets out of hand.This way when you are driving and the car is getting ample air flow,enough to cool the car,the fan will not be in operation.And when sitting at the maccas drive through the fan will come on.This way it wont overrun the fan.Also a problem is getting a fan big enough to do the job properly.... I hope i could answer some of your question at least and not loose you cause i still dont fully understand what you are getting at.
