The Ultimate Turbo for your RB25DET
Trust33 replied to Bass Junky's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So theres not much more difference between the gtrs and the 2530..And the 2535 is the turbo to go for for decent response excellent mid and good top end for rb25. Spewing we will have to wait and see what croat can pull out of his hat.I was allready like this turbo is the one for me.What sort of price can the hks 2530 2535 etc be recoed back up for?? -

BLOCKED VACUUM HOSES on R33 GTST HELP PLZ!!!!!!
Trust33 replied to 85URK's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
hi i dont know what you are talking about.Heres a pic of the hose that runs from the plenum to the rocker cover. Its a pcv one way valve that only allows the air to flow from the plenum to rocker cover.. Here is a link to a thread on all you will need to know about the different types of ways to connect up a oil catch can from street to race legal to illegal on the street. oil catch cans Hope this answers some of your questions. As for the hicas lock i dont have a pic of it but it may be that you have a tomei hicas electronic lock kit,a little black box that when installed in the boot dissables the hicas it comes with shims to lock the steering mechanism in place, you could easily find somthing on here by using the search button.. -

BLOCKED VACUUM HOSES on R33 GTST HELP PLZ!!!!!!
Trust33 replied to 85URK's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Usually when a plenum hose is blocked off i would have thought that it was oil catch can related. As some people see blocking off this hose is a good thing.Yes it stops the air from your plenum escaping into the rocker cover giving you a higher plenum psi rating. But then it is not such a good thing because the rocker cover has no way of quickly ventilating the oil vapour from the head to the oil catch can.I think it is what is called vapor lock that occurs when there is no air helping it to escape.Yes you need it stock when doing an oil catch can. I say that he has been missinformed about the fact that doing this to you car will give it more power. And when you say hicas isnt working then what does that mean?has he removed it alltogether.Or has he locked it with a hicas locking bar or a tomei hicas lock kit? -
Nothing is required to put a screamer pipe on.All it needs to have is the same flange pattern at both the turbine and exhaust joins and and match in the diameter and length obviously.

Supra man i have sent an email to you....Cheers

dont want to get your hopes up ferni. My rb25 gearbox had that exact same whine when the new clutch was put in and then stoped doing it when the clutch was put out and it would only do it on take off's or when going for reverse. It really only was there when the car was at a stand still.extreeme sprung button 5 puck ceramic.personally i think it sounds like the thrust bearing. It has taken a little over 70km to stop the sound it had.And when driving there has been no difference in it's performance b4 or after the sound.Maybee it just needs a little running in. Hope that helps though it seems as though i am allready to late.
-
In this case it is weird.1 because i havent seen the inside of the car and 2 because it usually is defectable to have a gauge right up in your face where it is blocking your sight. Dont know really. Some where i heard that if somthing comes from the factory floor then it is legal.meh.>>>

skid i think they made their minds up allready..Its greddy or busssst.
-
Yes.What a list of mods and no cooler.especially when the car will see the track and street.the oil will get a longer life helping the engine out also. Go the oil cooler.Go to the group buy section and get one or go to the oil cooler advertisment by shift performance in the bussiness thread. They are different sizes though i think the shift set comes with sandwich adaptor, oil filter relocator braided lines and cooler(13 row i think) and can only be bought as a set.but the group buy one by meridan you can mix and match different combos but they only sell a 19 row oil cooler i think. You certainly have a list on your hands i wish it were me....Aggggh! :drooling:

Craot when u put the hks on you will have to tell all.and post up a dyno sheet.

Easy job to do on a 33 is all i can say. What dump pipe have you got for it?
-
Your right the sub zero plenums bolt to the origional runners..
-
But if the bolt stays in there and you gradually take it out then there is no prob using the gear puller..It even has a little indentation in the bolt to put the eye of the shaft...It's made for it.
-
Hey what about sub-zero..Im not in just helping
-
Thats what i will be waiting for.How did it bolt up to the stock manifold+dump. And did you need a custom intake pipe? Like u say great turbocharger and it is internally gated.

What are they croat. The 400ps rated gtrs with t3 flange and all acessories For the gts-t $2564.55 from nengun. If i were to run a gtrs turbo and wanted 230 rwkw, for now untill i had enuff money for a rebuild on the engine, what psi would it be running at.Knowing that i have all the supporting hardware bar turbo and forged bottom end. I think these turbos run up to 300rwkw.If i am correct about what a ps rating is. Can someone explain to me what a ps rating is.

Just trying to state a fact that the idler bearing if not reassembled in the right fashion will rub and die.I dont see a problem in taking the harmonic balancer off whith a claw/puller as it is the only way to safely take one off.If your really worried that it is not coming off easy enuff then give it a tap tap tap as you are trying to take it off. The skyline is the first car that i have ever changed a belt on by myself. It was a very easy job.The only problem i had with it was that it was annoying to have to take the radiator off just to get at the harmonic balancer with the puller. Make sure that the bolts (harmonic balancer & the timing belt tensioner) are all torque tensioned. You wouldnt want it working its way loose.

Nah.By the time the appeal is heard you could have probably done your time.Rather than wait it out just pay it and wait it out because i cant seriously c you getting off from this one. A defective car straight from the start lol no speedo,But good excuse, and the old story i put my foot down and the other car speed up so i had to go faster to get back in the other lane and by the time it was over it was too late i couldnt slow down in time. They are going to say exactly what DOC & SW20-GT (-MOD) are saying you should just wait it out. I know that they can offer a reduced sentence, but the fine will most likely carry on for a little while longer and on shite points with a even longer time involved,Like say if the car is needed for work, and there is no way of getting public transport to and from work, where it is your only mode of transport etc.. When i lost my licence i had the option of being able to go back on it with 2 points for a year or wait out the 7 months origionally allocated for the fine.If you need your car for work they will most likely put you on a good behaviour bond with whatever rules they make.Though keep in mind 1 f@#k up and you will loose it for sure with this method and for a longer time. You seriously have to be a goodie-two shoes.. Good luck with it all.

Also the larger the area the pod has to sit in can be benificial. It is my beleife that when the turbo spools up as it gets faster the bigger the need for the surrounding vaccume area there is.With a cold air feed with ambient flowing air helps this effect.I say enclose your pod in somthing like this which is what i am thinking of doing.
