  2. Dean if you haven't got an oil catch can then the bov's plunger should be getting oiled slightly from the engine oil vapour that travels from the inlet pipe into the compressor to the inlet plenum.

  4. Thats the way im going from 180kw-230. Out of interest the forged internal kits that hi octane are selling etc etc.How much power could a bottom end like that handle (rb25 style). The rods look like fort knox when compared to the gtr rods.

Hello mr skyman.I am running a blitz supersound bov with a backing plate blocking off the stock bov but have left the origional vaccum hoses running to the plenum for a more stock look.Ive never touched it and it comes on when boost is produced. What i can tell you is the little adjustment nut on top of the bov will controll how tight the bov spring is,ie.It will be harder to open under the given pressure and will probably not be as quick to react to the lower rpm/boost.But if it were loose it will more than likely come on earlier on in the rpm/boost stage.This is more than likely your problem unless you have checked that when in that case then it may be that the bov itself is stuffed. The wastegate has nothing to do with the bov's operation.The watsegate will open only to bypass excess exhaust pressure past the exhaust turbine. Bov Operation Explained When the compressor creates positive pressure,rushing all the air towards the plenum,the bov acts as a pressue relief valve for the system. So when the butterfly slams shut and there is still positive pressure from the compressor being forced towards the plenum the bov relives the pipes of unwanted pressure. And this is also why when the butterfly is open,there is air being rushed into the engine and the bov is opening without the butterfly being shut so as not to over force air into the engine,that the bov still should open without it being entirely closed reliving the system of what the engine cannot take. Hope this helps...Dont fully quote me on this dude but i am pretty sure that my explanation is right.

  14. I Envy that 1/4 mile time and mph.All on the stock internals..These motors can really take a pounding.Thats 391.49rwkw!!532.28ps!! wow.Im wondering how much difference do the cams make? One day when i step up to forged internals i hope to be running in the 11's or better but for now the quest for 12's has got me.It all comes down to how deep your pockets are really.. And yea,you can send your dyno sheet to me and i will shrink it & post it for you.Send it to [email protected] just make sure the photo you send is clear and not blurry.

  16. toh .. :usuck: The u suck goes out to the guy who thought his truck could handle the weight of a 4cyl... LOL I bet you anything you like that the frist truck diddnt go so close to the edge of the drop off because he thought that he'd end up in the water.Whereas if he was closer he'd have probably avoided it. :ufo: Goes out to the second truck that arrives on the scene to save the day.
