  1. True but unfortunately they don't mind it especially the elderly who are so used to the male dominate generation. I did the same one time to offer my seat to an elderly woman and she said "it's OK I don't mind standing". Then what do you know a salaryman dashes into my seat. I politely said to him "did I offer you the seat?", he ignored me at first but had enough looks from everyone around to feel guilty then got up. I again insisted the elderly woman to sit and when she finally did, everyone around started to give me a weird stare... But these things are changing I have seen others offer seats to others in need.
  2. Justin, we should go to Arashiyama. I have some photos from last season with very beautiful colours. Here is one off the net. This thread needs to balance things out to what we like about Japan else why are we still hanging around...will definitely miss Japan come the day I decide to leave. Totally agree with everything said above, which basically are the main points...to elaborate. -The safety here is definitely a big one for me. -Convenience in terms of I enjoy skiing and Nagoya is only 4 hours drive away to an awesome snowfield. The seaside is only minutes away, the mountains and especially the countryside with ricefield shows a totally different contrast to the concrete structures in the city. -4 seasons of festivities, what have we got in Aust nothing quite as interesting sure we're only 200+ yo. -Culture and strong links to tradition, not to mention the interesting sub-cultures. -The people and the spirit of determination especially when they are underdogs in Sports...who watched the Japan Vs Oman Asian qualifer game 2 nights back...that was a very entertaining game.
  3. That is strange, usually Japan is known to have everything working clock work. Where are abouts in Japan are you?
  4. widebody...if they not about cars I don't want to know about it yeah the GT2 are f**king nice, if you've spoken to Justin (Baggins) lately. He is also after some wheels, but can't decide after I showed him the GT2. GT2 also weight no more than the Type C which you also know are the lightest wheels around...slightly lighter than both the TE37 and Buddy Club QFs. Also they being SSF-semi solid forging they can take the abuse of track work much better, they don't crack as easily as the TE37 when you hit a gutter.

    Japanese Police

robert, not bad for 13 years...I mean still unlucky to pay on 4 occassions but staying out of trouble with only 4 occasions. drift007, dunno how long you been here but that is pretty unlucky especially the last one...take it easy. I shan't say how lucky I've escaped 2 parking tickets, one week after the other on the same street, eluded an illegal 1/4mile and drift event...not that I frequent those events much (but if Jeff (C-Red) gets on he may tell you all about it ) and doing 130km/h in a 80km/h speedlimit section of the Chugoku highway with the BNR34 cop trailing me and the cop over the speaker telling me to keep to the left lane if I'm not overtaking...that was a close one as I don't even know where they came out from. Though I should mention again Osaka cops are the most lenient in Japan, there was a new article last year which the police commissioner said there are a set of uniform rules for all Japan but Osaka police also go by a set of their own rules ...course with the revamp of new stricter rules all this is set to change. Don't forget fellas zero alcohol level as before but fine is now increased to 300,000yen...not worth the risk! Stay safe, keep out of trouble and enjoy what we can get away with over here by playing their rules.

  7. surely this must be only a very small thing or people that actually do it here compared to other countries.
  8. Charlie, haven't you already got a set of wheels, I remember seeing down at Steve's warehouse...course there is nothing wrong with getting another set SSR GT2 or Type C are the shitz at the moment over here. Funky, this is actually a Veilside R3 kit and the rear bumper does look like that.

    Tas 2005

Make yourself the shitz mate... You are delegates representing the largest Skyline enthusiast community in Aust...also shows your drive in Japan is also a Skyline. Or hook up with C-West like you did last year. sorry what hotel is that again, might be a bit too king pin Worst come to worst it will cost you what 2000yen for the day.
  10. Have you done one and from which 3S? out of a Caldina or MR2?...never said it was not possible...everything is possible. It is the time, effort and COST involved in converting a 3SG to RWD and finding out that there is very little gain when you could have just turboed the 4AG or Beams 3SG! I know a few guys in Aust have done it but ask around here and the J-guys will tell you why bother!
  11. my bad...N1 lights roger that!

Justin parking is never free at hotels dude unless your like some VIP
  13. hehehe, you know I'm back in Sydney for Xmas...I want a ride before you change it back
  14. not coming for TAS?...else come to the Osaka Automesse in Feb. My mechanic sold his BNR32 for the 86, the GT-R he also killed at Central circuit LOL. Though he misses his GT-R his 86 is no short of fun...makes me want to buy one too. I'd personally save the money, keep it NA with the 4AG and have fun revving the tits off it.
  15. read the whole thread first... --- Funky, if you really want to go with a 4AGZE and the AW11 one's given their age maybe not be thin on the ground, you can always use one out of a AE92 but they are also E-W...will also need work but are newer. My mechanic here has a sweet 86 which you may have seen in the Japan thread. Though you have said you will try not to source from Japan, if you need any stuff or advise you know who to call. He's the one who has Grp A internals...basically a race engine....but currently out after killing it a few months back at Central circuit.
  16. Charlie, you need to stay focus on your machine bud
  17. No interest watching initial D...surprising I have only watched it once at a mates back in Aust this year for the first time. Grp A internals was an example...the question is not expense. Dude, you need to do some more research.
  18. Dude, now your talking nonsense, why bother making things difficult for yourself. A 4AG with Grp A internals will rev out to 11000rpm...that already will give you plenty of fun.
  19. F20C is another popular choice... Search for the 20BT 86 video...it will make you shit your pants dude they are all E-W!!! the easiest is a N-S Altezza Beams 3S
  20. MR2 3SGTE WTF they sit E-W! just work the 4AG they are good enough or a beams 3S.
  21. WTFBBQ that little shiet deserves a beating...
  22. technically speaking it is a TRY FORCE Aeropart, they sell through TRIAL.
  23. hehehe I was thinking the same but didn't want to say the obvious.
  24. Aso...kansaiben desu!...
  25. Yaya koshii na...name tonnoka!!! ..MOKARI MAKKAAAA!!!!
