  1. You don't wanna do that especially when your a foreigner. Justin, I have a little story about that, not sure if I told you. A mate of mine did just that and the cops were waiting at the train station for him that night he returned from work. Never think no one is watching. When a bike goes missing and you suddenly appear riding a newly sprayed bike, unfortunately they always suspect the foreigners first.
  2. Rob...you have 2 free bikes waiting here
  3. You want a free one...needs a bit of oil here and there...it's yours if you want. I got bloody 3 of them to give away.
  4. Let me bring your attention to a book published in affiliation with Nissan, in rememberence of the great GT-R (RB26DETT). Born 1989, died 2002.
  5. drakan69, no it isn't the case...Godzilla officially died in 2002/08
  6. eeer which day again? I should be back as I'm up in Tokyo this Friday (afternoon) and hoping to be back in Osaka same night by midnight.
  7. strickly speaking BNR34 started in 1999/01 and stopped 2002/08
  8. Justin, are you refering to the caffeteria we had lunch with Dave...then it is Left of the gate after entering the ticket gates.
  9. Dave, thanks for the photos. I've heard of Yamanashi Sportsland...Short track is good though, keeps the max speed down and competitve times can be acheived for all cars and would be great for the MX-5 as you can see a few are there. If you have a high powered one car, well I'd expect you'd know how to control it.
  10. The shop or office in Japan selling it is in Aichi or Nagoya IIRC. They will sell as many as Corvette has sold...and how many Corvettes do you see here 2-3 in the 5 years I have been here. But certainly good on Holden for making an Aussie presence. http://www.holden.co.jp/
  11. why re-invent the wheel, box your pod and run a air duct to the box from the front bar.
  12. Not sure either if it is stamped but you are correct the N1 block is referred as 24U Block! While the standard block is 05U.
  13. I know, so why don't you ask them to pay up first...we do unless it's an established customer. Custom clearance and paperwork is all part of what you charge them so can't be complaining there.
  14. or a container can fit a shitload of stuff (or to sell) if you get together with a group of friends to share the bill
  15. It all depends on which port, it seems he is refering to Yokohama and RORO. Osaka, Kobe and Nagoya are fine AFAIK, we just have more ports here in the Central West . They are also busy, well due to the usual busy time of season. Containers are also OK, that is if your willing to pay the extra. We've organised all our containers to leave for Perth and Sydney at the end of the month and another shipment in December. Don't forget they don't completely fill up the carrier leaving Japan as some carriers stopover other countries to load other cargo.
  16. I wouldn't be surprised...isn't Canada also RHD. They also have a similar 15yo rule and well also have boring cars in the local market I've said it before if the States were RHD, firstly they'd get all the nice JDM models cars available through the dealership and secondly wouldn't have a problem importing them...and we'd get nothing as they'd probably take anything and everything of the best examples. So thank your lucky stars we're RHD and can import JDM cars...so all you youngins stop f*cking whinging like a spoilt brat about what we can't import or the changes to the import regulations. You also have to thank, Japan for not going LHD after the war.
  17. f**k there you go...silver gtst...if you get dollie seats covers your gonna look like that freak!
  18. I don't know where you find these, and don't even want to know why your even searching for these but that is definitely one strange lady!
  19. True, I didn't know myself until recently...course I also don't use a PFC.
  20. Just to let you know, the Apexi PFC are now bundled with the Hand controller so it's not anything special as such by any particular shop. Though his price looks good, a little cheaper then most shops. I see the one week only reason.

    Money Question

Dave, this is Japan and if married woman didn't take charge of the money what would they have to do...further it makes sense, as they have the time to get to the banks during the day. But they are very good in handling the money, while I paid the rent and utilities. When my ex-gf was staying me, we budgeted for 50,000yen a month for groceries and miscellanous expenses and somehow she manages to save an extra 15,000yen every 3 months! Brian, don't let the mrs pick up too many bad habbits over here mate .
  22. Just mirror the mods on the Top Secret Option Z-Stream car If your going T/C, internals have to be the first to go...they're not very strong unless your happy to make 350ps or thereabouts. There are heaps of T/C Z33s over here worth looking into their setups.

    Money Question

Brian, I always ask for 1 time debt also, saves the hassle of keeping track what you bought. Also not sure on overseas cards but I reckon it may not work as well. Actually the EFTPOS is available but only a few shops have this or like to do it this way. --- Overseas CC, yes they will all work. But Diners and AMEX is a hit and miss I find...but larger shops are OK. Money exchanges like Travellex, don't think I have seen too many of those. Also bank branches in the Suburbs will not do it for both cash and travellers cheques. You will have to do the exchange at Banks in the main city centre. WHICH IS WHY ALWAYS KNOW WHERE THE CLOSEST 24HOURS CITIBANK ATM IS. So you don't have to use your CC or carry much money around, just withdraw the funds you need via Maestro or Cirrus...but do bring a CC for emergency use.

    Money Question

Here is something about exchange rates...if you ever get lucky. A colleague of mine paid his hotel bill with his Visa while in the States. However the hotel clerk accidently punched in an extra zero and overcharged the hotel bill to my mate's Visa. Realising her mistake she reversed the charged amount and punched in the correct amount. A month later my mate checks his Visa statement and also finds an extra $2000 USD in his account...which he is happy to keep . So who lost money from the exchange rate, the hotel or Visa?
