  1. You must have been thinking of the JZA70 ones, JZA80 are slightly lighter then a BCNR33. Supras have a mighty fine engine and just as bulletproof but IMHO the handling needs to be addressed if you want to do some decent times at the track. On the drag strip never doubt them. JZA80 (2JZ-GTE) are 1490-1510kg (6MT), 1500-1510kg (4AT) JZA70 (7M-GTEU) are 1560-1600kg (5MT), 1560-1600kg (4AT) JZA70 (1JZ-GTE) are 1520-1580kg (5MT), 1520-1580kg (4A) GA70 are 1440-1530kg (5MT), 1460-1550kg (4AT)
  2. Interesting so why does the wheels have "MP" intials and not "D" or Desmond written on them?
  3. We got owned pretty bad over here in Kansai. http://pforums.company-hosting.com/forums/...50post839239350
  4. BBS use to be the popular choice, then TE37 and now LMs...Marquis Promodo (spelling) Justin's wheels were popular if you look back on the magazine back in the mid 1990s though most of you were still in primary ...and they still are as he has pointed out. A set of CE28 also look nice...in champion silver.

    Ikeri's thread.

Mate, it was done with a non-3S /non-Beams engine which is why I said unless your going to turbo it the 4AG will do the done.
  6. Compnerd, Hipermax II are damper adjustables thus just adjust them around 7-10 or (clockwise +5 to +8 from the middle setting) will give you a softer ride. As for the valve, I know what your talking about. But I know enough not to go fiddling with it if I don't know what it does.
  7. that's why it is dead quiet...weird how it's so calm in the eye...then buckets down when it passed over. your pretty close to the bay area as well Dave & Kanto guys take care, she's a fierce one.

    Ikeri's thread.

Ikeri, yes I replied, the office shut down at 1pm, how is the shop...hope it's not flooded.
  9. Yukio, you know you could always just jump on a shinkansen and head over and join us. If your feeling rich your welcome to drive over with Dave. From Osaka we are not decided maybe Shinkansen, but I'm sure a wine Red R32 will be driving

    March Super Turbo

Yes I remember you mentioning that to me last time. I'd like a K12 with a turbo, I remember reading a few tuners have done them with sucess, fun being the objective
  11. No matter fulltime or part time...GT-Rs are still considered 4WD. In racing they are only allowed in 4WD class or over 2000cc turbo class with other cars or only GT-R class. 4WD and AWD is pretty much interchangable these days as mentioned lost due to marketting. In some Evo brochures from MMC sometimes it reads AWD but on the rear window of the car is says 4WD. Does it really matter these days!

    Ikeri's thread.

Justin, I actually ask Brett to come along as well. But now I think we should just stick to the inital plan of just three of us plus partners, too many people is always hard to talk.
  13. Dave you could probably squeze parking at my apartment for the weekend. I had a few mates over and they have done so on a number of occasions.
  14. Yes that is correct which is all I know of as well... IIRC Blitz and Tom's here in Japan also makes bolt on S/C for the 3S...as for the 2J there is already a mountain of tuning resource. Oh now that I mention there were also IIRC 100 Tom's Altezza 280T Also the Altezza Gita (wagon), while the 4WD is great to have only the 1GFE comes in 5MT/4AT and the 2JZGE only comes in 4AT/5AT...they only looks great in Black or as long as you can cover that ugly looking Euro clear rear lights. The JDM 1GFE VVTi is actually 160ps compared to the Aust delivered model, still nothing exciting and the 3SGE Beans to '97 is VVTi and '98 after is Dual VVTi. If you get an Altezza, first thing is swap the 1GFE for a more performing engine. If you wanna keep it NA go for a Beams 3SGE plus TRD setup it will make close to 280ps in NA version. For turbo the 1J or 2J no questions...also on both change the gearshift to a short throw setup...the factory setup is just too long.
  15. Do the States really have a IS400? Is it a production model? I've only ever heard of about a European TTE IS430 S/C version non-production model.
  16. Dave I anticipate your only 4.5 hours from us...will be done once I do that road trip will edit: 4.5 hrs to Daves Kingdom
  17. I'm in Itami which is also where Osaka airport is 5 mins away. Noise pollution isn't too bad and flights are only between 6am - 9pm. My apartment is actually right next door to the shinkansen line (Osaka-Kobe), but surprisingly the Shinkansen is whisper quiet. I'm about 15-20 mins from Justin place by car. He's just down the road on Route 171. It's very convenient where me and Justin are, we are close to all the major roads and expressways. - 20-30 mins to Osaka city centre (Umeda) local traffic, 10 mins via Route 3 expressway. - 30-40 mins to Kobe city centre local traffic, 15 mins via Meishin expressway. - 45 mins to Kansai airport via the Hanshin expressway (wangan). - 30 mins to Kyoto city via Meishin expressway. - 30 mins to Nara city via Hanna bypass. - 1 hr to Awaji, 2 hrs to Tokushima (Shikoku). - 1.5 hrs to Central circuit. - 2 hrs to Wakayama city via highway. - 2 hrs to Ti Aida circuit (Okayama). - 2.5 hrs to Suzuka circuit (Mie). - 3 hrs to Amanohashidate (Japan Sea). - 3.5 hrs to Gifu (Snow field ) via highway. - 4 hrs to Hiroshima city via Chugoku highway. - 4.5 hrs to Dave's place
  18. If I may... Only BNR34 N1 and Nur use the same turbo spec: Compressor: C106 (normal BNR34 is C100) Turbine: GT-25 (same as BNR34) Turbine wheel: steel (normal BNR34 as you know is ceramic) A/R: 0.60/0.64 (normal BNR34 is 0.53/0.48) Boost is same 0.93bars

    Ikeri's thread.

Yeah alot of the work on my car is done by Ikeri and he does a fantastic job, as do the other mechanics there. He's a great guy and most importantly knows his stuff, that's why he the man! Funky, yes Ikeri's is the one with the 86. If you need any help let us know. Meanwhile we're busy working on Justin's Beast...wait for it .
  20. That is correct there are on 50 M-Spec made in 2001 and 1000 Nur (75% M-Spec and 25% V-Spec II) made in 2002. Off the top of my head yes basically same as the V-Spec II but different suspension internal damper setup though same spring rate and slightly smaller stabilizers...springs and shock absorbers are also gold in colour. Champagne gold colour which also follows through into the interior stitching...also the steering wheel dia is 3mm larger not that you will notice that . PM Rezz (Justin) I lend him a couple of my Skyline books and I'm sure the M-Specs are covered in them.
