I'll also speak to my mate, who also owns a RS4 with some nice Works wheels.
-
Right...did you want to know specifically which wheels from the Nissan range will fit? There is a HyperRev issue in fact 2 for the Stagea which also looks at what kind of wheels you can fit to the Stagea. Unfortunately there isn't much in terms of tuning, as they are pretty much the same as Skylines...engine wise. If I happen to go pass a newagent I can take a squizz for you, anything specific you wanted to know about the wheels specs?
-
Haven't you got the Stagea with you there to check...else any Japanese wheel maker website will have the possible wheel specs.
-
doesn't matter, all depends on where you can fix the sensor or where you wish to monitor the oil... what kind of oil pressure guage have you got electric?
-
Do you know about the RE Amemiya Greddy VII ? Displayed at the TAS 1997...FC3S+4WD, 13B with TD88-33D.
-
I don't have any pics but I think I read it in Option a few months back...so I can always scan the article when I get home else someone who has that issue can do so as well.
-
It's bad here but worst in Tokyo...
-
Within reason, no and why when you have the GT-R. Can it be done, yes anything can...IIRC ZELE international has entered a Z33 with GT-R running gear and RB26DETT in the Pikes Peak international hill climb.
-
Serious-seven, firstly you have to ask how you can put a N-S engine in an E-W configuration without major fabrications? And secondly why the SR20 can't do the job?
-
By right they should be, F/R track and wheelbase have a nice geometry. Don't forget they hold the quickest time for the modified class around Nurburgring circuit. As I said before get your suspension setup properly and you'll be right.

Good spotting what a rip off from the Audi RSQ concept for the movie I Robot... I was going to say it also looked similar to the B4 Asterope, with that colour scheme.
-
RB26_S15, Firstly there was no mention of a GT-R in that article so how could you say the GT-R will have a V8 and secondly nobody knows more about the Skyline scene then Rezz... Justin, LOL...I'd becareful...Speed could be taking all your post and printing them word for word soon . Now for the article, how could they get it so wrong. I have a mate who is a part time writer for them and he knows the scene pretty well in Japan. How could they publish something so off topic, unless they think no one in Aust follows the global motor shows. The FUGA has always been said to be the replacement for the Cedric/Gloria, where did the Skyline story come from! Even if nobody picked that up, the M45 name gives it away again as the replacement for the Infiniti M45 in the States which again is not a Skyline.

Supra aren't reknown for being a great track car, without some serious suspension setup. Your right on the money with an RX-7 but you will need a Cams license to bring them in for racing, as there is no compliance for the FDs.

None of you guys going for a Masa kit...? We have or rather one of the Aussie guys here has an '99 RS4 with the Neo RB25 version which we will also be working on for more ponies . He is considering the Masa kit but it will go on after when we finish the powerup stuff.

What's interesting is if you look at the Tsukuba time attack, the cars in the top 10 are the Evo, GT-R, Silvia and FD3S...then have a look at the drag scene and again all these cars have done well. The Evo and Silvia perhaps not making much of a presence as they are primarily used for rally and drift respectively, but no doubt can run the numbers. A plug for the Evo is coming with a 9sec gearbox in a factory car. So could I conclude in saying that these 4 cars are the best all rounder for drag and circuit applications. Sewid: E9 aren't out, you mean E8.5...yes they are nice and like the TME will be another collector Evo. If your down next time, I guess why not . -
Banana man, when you get here do contact me. There is a favour I need to ask from you, something a local can't do only someone who is visiting and will leave the country soon .

no, actually poorer then English teachers...ask Justin (Rezz), he knows my life story . If I was rich I wouldn't be driving any Japanese cars but an E55 will do me fine crusing the Wangan routes here in Japan. -

Serious-7, actually like you all don't want too many GT-Rs around, I don't want too many Evos flooding the market . Yes I own and drive an Evo but doesn't mean they are the only cars I like. There are alot of nice cars, next car I hope to buy is a JZX100 Chaser V TRD Version, another rare car in that they are the last shape of it's kind as Toyota has discontinued their production. Or a Tom's 280T . -

Sciby, no real solid evidence but I'm sure they will be back...you just have to wonder what Honda have up their sleeves when everyone else can build high revving engines these days. Not diverting from the thread topic...like all cars, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, drive one before you judge one. I doubt any or many of you have driven an Evo. They do have a harsh ride as they are perhaps the only car off the showroom floor built ready to hit the circuit...so don't confuse this with how they ride and handle. Factory suspension is stiff unlike many Japanese sports cars, best go with aftermarket damper adjustable for street use...else you won't feel anything in your butt after 5-10mins in an Evo..I'm not kidding. Or you will have the mrs constantly nagging, again I know. -
Evo 7 compliance now available!!!!

Hehehe, yeah to be honest cars for this price will not be getting any faster due to cost, development and all. I'm sure you read the other thread where rS73 (I think) and I were discussing about the future of Nissan cars. I also just mentioned today in another forum that, don't expect the next Silvia V16 to be a turbo...it will most likely be a NA with a high revving VE head. -

Scriby, I never said a stock E7 was faster...as you all know the quickest stock GT-R is the BCNR33 with a 13.06s quarter, the BNR34 runs 13.4s. An E7 is actually slower then my Evo stock...E8 and E8.5 get her back up to 13.5s True also the Atessa system in the GT-R is ancient these days, as I mentioned in another forum. Where they recently did a test for the best 25 4WD systems in Japan. The GT-R atessa system didn't even rate, but the new Nissan e-4WD came in 3rd behind the STi/Legacy 4WD system and the Evo AYC 4WD came out on top. They were judging on design and development. Now that is not to say there is nothing good about the GT-R except for the RB26DETT, well depending on who you talk to. As you know the RB26DETT is a engine whore, owners will make the RB26 fit into anything . Some wierd engine conversions I have seen here. Bluebird RB26DETT 4WD...scarry. As I always say you should always buy the car you like and whatever the purpose, I have an Evo because I wanted the space and practicality for outdoors like loading up for the snow field. Others may want a car to cruise, drag, circuit etc.
