  1. What were the minor issues that made you drop 5k from the asking price, then almost 10k?? ''
  2. Ditch the AFMs, hide the plugs, and get a PFC D'jetro

Holy sh!t I didn't see that one coming!! I put the paperwork in ages ago but I never got round to paying daniel I think it was??
  4. I know this thread is old as f*%# but in case anyone was still wondering, the sizes for everything nismo are pretty damn small - be careful when buying off the net...I was just at the nismo factory in yokohama and I tried almost everything on. Im right on 6 foot and 105 kg and almost NOTHING fit me. Hell, even my 70 kg mate just made it into their large jacket and hes usually a small - medium
  5. Damn I was just at the new Nismo Omori factory a few days ago and forgot to ask!!

  7. Haha na im still here, just trying to figure out what to do. Im still out of the country but have already called a lawyer and am waiting on a court date.... Ye not a bad idea but i'm going to try steer clear of the whole my exhaust is too loud thing. Then ill probably get EPA'd and in all sorts of extra trouble
  8. Eastern freeway in Doncaster about 3 weeks ago. Worst part was it was a day before I flew out to japan where I was supposed to buy some parts for my car (while on holiday) - Dont know if I will now.
  9. Exactly I thought if I admitted to speeding it might make things easier. Apparently not... in terms of court cases, it really depends on luck of the draw. When I went to court before I had a magistrate who acted like the fine I had was of no importance to her, and she was more than happy to let it side to keep her day moving...somehow I dont think ill be as lucky this time. Cop told me to sell my car (jealous bastard), think I might have to if I lose my license for that long
  10. So I had an on-the-spot 1 month suspension 6 years ago for being 28 kmh over. Other than that a pretty clean record. Im guessing even though it was a while ago it will look pretty bad. Has anyone ever had a favourable outcome in a similar scenario? When I was 18 I took a fine to court, pleaded guilty in the face of exceptional circumstances and got out of it...
  11. Ok.. So there was a post a while ago about some poor bloke in Vic who got fined by the cops and decided to take his case to court. The debate then started in that thread about whether or not a police officer's word is suffice to warrant a speeding fine without any hard proof eg. radar read-out. A few people claimed that it did. I thought it didn't and now guess what? I've been hit with a $600 fine, 6 demerit points, and a 6 month suspension because some cop "estimates" that I was going 40 kmh over the limit. No proof, no readings, no nothing. When he pulled me over he immediately tried to force a confession of excessive speed out of me, though I only admitted to what I actually did. Yes I was speeding but only by 10-15 over. He told me he didnt have a reading but estimated my speed based off his 20 yrs experience as a cop. Anyway this asshole started interrogating me asking me if id been in trouble with cops before, breath/drug tests etc., while clearly trying to pressure me into saying what he wanted to hear. So naturally I refuse to be punished for something I didnt do, so im taking the matter to court. The cops word against mine. Ill keep you all posted and we'll see where this all ends...
  12. LOL oops my bad
  13. Fair enough guys didnt Fair enough didn't realise that this much work was involved Out of curiosity, what sort of modification can be done to make an immitation fibreglass front bar that doesnt line up fit? In my humble knowledge, if something doesn't fit then it simply doesn't fit, but I've heard od people "spending hours" making them fit. What exactly can be done?
  14. All of them also said something along the lines of "don't rush me if you want a good job", implying that a good job cant be done faster. Whats up with that?? Does, or can, it really take that long??
  15. I recently dropped my car off at a bodyshop to have a set of nismo skirts and spats fitted along with the z-tune front bar. When I was calling around for quotes, most shops told me that they'd need my car for at least 10 businss days (ie. 2 weeks including weekends). So my question is why does it take so damn long? I don't work in the auto panel/painting industry but it doesn't make any sense to me. If the workshop if full/busy then ok, just tell the customer to bring the car back in a few days when they can start work on the car immediately. The way I see it is, 1 day test fitting all parts, maybe 2 if theyre FRP replicas, 1 day prepping panels including priming, then 1 day painting, 1 day to set, and a final day to clear coat (perhaps an additional day for polishing??). That's 5-6 working days. Does anyone have some inside experience that can alleviate my impatience??
  16. I would love to see a legal excerpt substantiating this. The only case in which an officer's estimation could potentially be used as evidence would be one where excessive speed was clearly evident, aferall, who can honestly look at a moving car and say "yes, this car should be going 100 kmh but it is in fact going 105kmh and therefore the driver must be fined"?
  17. Wow dont understand how so many rubbish R34s are disappearing off the market (ie. being SOLD) while ones like yours are still here!
  18. You're right word does get around but how many people out there seek legal advice before contesting such fines and are aware of how to use our legal system to their advantage? Aside from being aware of the fact that precedent does exist and can be used, it would only be a matter or proving the irrefutable similarities between the two cases to be able to use the precedent. I don't know quite what you mean by this. Estimation of speed is a very subjective measure and I don't think it would stand up in court in conjunction with a regular speedo reading, let alone as evidence on its own. All the variables that are used to define speed/velocity can hugely differ between individuals.
  19. I'm no lawyer but I did study law for a while and remember a case I looked at where a man was fined for speeding on his motorbike in exactly the same fashion - an officer trailing behind and using their speedo as a means for measuring the biker's speed. To cut a long story short, the case ended up in court where the magistrate dismissed the fine on the grounds that using a car's speedo as a device to ACCURTELY measure speed was impermissible - regardless of whether or not a certificate of calibration had been obtained. Had you brought this case up in court as precedent I'm confident the outcome of your case would have been different. The judiciary here in Australia is very big on this idea of 'precedent', which is basically where a judge makes a ruling in a similar/almost identical case which can be used as a reference for rulings in later cases.
  20. Yes I remember I went to a few back in the day. I've been going on skyline cruises/meets since the early 2000s but I dont think there was even a group called SAU back then! We used to just kick it in large carparks and enjoy each others' company (& cars )
  21. Dammit missed it!! thought it was next wednesday. hope some nice GTRs turned up!!
  22. It still amazes me how people can see kms in the order of 50,000 on 12+ year old cars and think they're genuine. Seriously....? almost EVERY GTR or import out there has had its kms wound back. Not all, but most. Take one look at the Japanese auctions now. 15 year old skylines with 65,000 km, 16 year old supras with 43,000km...... The problem is Japanese cars wear the kilometres so well - all that's required to up the price by 40% is a quick swap-out of any cheap worn interior parts, and a cut & polish.
  23. LOL Incorrect - Yes it is nismo/nismo-style, but it is in fact the nimso version 1 bar otherwise known as the r-tune front bar
  24. Best (adapted) quote i have ever read LOL made my night!!
  25. So I have a R34 GTR VS2 with a few dead pixels in my MFD and I decided to swap it out. A few people on the forums and elsewehere told me the later model R34s came with Toshibs LCD screens as opposed to the SHARP ones found in earlier GTRs. So i bought one, then was gutted to realise after opening my MFD that the latest model GTRs (post 2002 i think) actually came with SHARP lcd MFDs again. So nissan went SHARP > Toshiba > SHARP. So I returned the one I originally bought (off a very honest forum user) and bought one which I thought was the correst SHARP screen i needed - again I relied on forum info albeit UK forum info this time and again ended up with the wrong screen (I think they posted up the wrong part number) . I've scoured the net, and have found multitudes of people selling the Toshiba LCDs but almost no one selling the newer SHARP ones. So who can source one of these SHARP screens for me and how much am I looking at?
