This sounds like a typical scare-monger story fabricated and emailed around by stay-at-home mums who believe the stories on A Current Affair and Today Tonight - ie. it's utter bullsh!t. I can only see this story scaring women who are imaginig a whole horror-story scenario in their head as they read this, where they get followed, raped and hurled into a dumpster.

Kyle I'm not going to be harsh, but that movie was a farce and everything about it and in it was an even bigger farce. The only people I can fathom looking up to cars like those in the movie are 18 year olds, the same generation that only learned of the import and tuning scene through video games such as Need For Speed (blasphemy for import hard knocks). Simon I had that same query about Bayside Blue though in VIC a while back and ended up using a shop no one recommended - was extremely happy with the result. If you want to drive down to Melbourne I can point you in the right direction ps. Namamuggi station is the station you want to get to. It's much closer than Tsurumi station though it's not on the JR line (only an issue if youre sticking to JR lines due to having a JR pass). From here you can either walk about 15 - 20 minutes or try your luck finding a cab. There aren't many out that side of town as it is an industrial area

TRUE. This is a very easy fix. Check the ribbon cable at the back. It's hard to get in and out (when pulling apart the MFD) and if you break it say bye byes to your MFD and a few Gs to get a new one

You'd hope the permit would have been sorted a bit earlier than 2 weeks out from the event

Luke GTR these forums have been around for quite some time now and I'd assume that pretty much everything pertaining to GTRs has been discussed at some point. Given this I did a brief search though didn't find what I was looking for hence my post.

WOW. A bit disappointed that there is a $75 ENTRANT FEE while the display is on FREE TO THE PUBLIC and the show will bring in cash for the organisers and plenty of customers for the stalls....

LOL it obviously wasn't that easy!! To get RWCs now (unlike in the good old days) photos of everything must be taken - including the brakes. Aftermarket brakes look quite different to factory brakes so maybe that's what the workshop pulled you up on - they were afraid of getting busted for okaying something obvious like that

Oooo such an easy question to answer... if you plan to modify it, just go talk to any gtr owner - theyll tell you to buy a clean one that's already modified. You'll save a truckload of cash. I once read that you couldn't afford to own a GTR unless you could afford to buy 2. I've owned mine for 10 months, bought it with some clean mods and already spent another 20k on it which I'll never see again

I've heard from a number of places that installing BOVs that aren't recirculating/plumb-back onto GTRs can be quite troublesome - stalling at idle, massive fluctuations in air/fuel ratios etc. I have also been told that HKS produce/d a part called the 'EIDS' that can counter this problem for those that still want an atmospheric venting BOV (albeit illegal) and that famed WHOOOSH sound!! Has anyone here ever used or installed one of these things, and what are peoples experience with aftermarket BOVs on GTRs, especially in terms of increased performance/less lag between shifts??
