Anyways, no offence or pretentiousness intended. I was simply making the point that for a skyline car club there are barely any GTRs at meets and even other variants of skyline for that matter (from what i've seen. Saw a VW, a few old BMWs, Honda accord with rims and a few Silvias at a meet last year. Oh and there were 1 or 2 skylines outside ). But going off what Birds has said this is because people used to own skylines and now they own all sorts of other cars yet still come to the meets in effect making SAU VIC more of a social club than a dedicated Skyline club. Just an observation

LOLLL i meant the kids that rock up in bangers that aren't 4th hand $35,000 GTRs. They're 16th hand $3000 non-turbo GTS' with drift toys hanging on the tow hooks and and more panel damage than Pamela Anderson's box

There are a few areas in Melbourne that I will never drive my GTR due to the notorious Highway Patrol ass rapists in the area. Dandenong is one of them. Some may disagree, but I won't even risk it with the number of stories coming from Dandy and a few nearby locales.

Tez did you fit that mesh on the bar or did you buy it like that? If you fitted it, what sort of mesh is it and where did you get it? So many cheap tacky meshes around but that one looks really good

LOL very few GTR owners of any generation browse the Vic section for that matter (you should see the Vic garage meets, 2 skylines (GTST, GTT etc.), 1 GTR (BNR or CBA), and an odd bunch of totally unrelated cars lol) !! Mostly GTSTs, dreamers, and other randoms

Croydon Racing Developments - but I think they only deal with big buck drag, circuit and street cars. Don't think they do much in the way of drift setups. They are the undisputed GTR kings from back in the day

LOLL 18 year-old car with 41,000km on the clock!! If that was genuine this car would be in near new condition and fetch a much more premium price that only serious collectors would bother enquiring about . Why would a car that has always been standard and never molested have an apex'i turbo timer and boost guage fitted?! What's with everyone hanging it on the OP?? So what he messed up and did the wrong thing, who here hasn't? I see a lot of people making judgement calls like they are perfect drivers with perfect driving records and perfectly legal cars that are always 100% of the time law-abiding. Give him a break. He came on here for advice like we all do, not to be told how badly he's f*d up - quite clearly he already knows that. We all drive imports, we all like going fast, we've all done the wrong thing at some point. Some of us have been lucky and not been caught while others haven't been so lucky. I'd be very surprised if there was a single person on these forums that hadn't given their turbo a squirt on an open road.... Anyways in response to your question perzn_34, the best advice I can give you is cop it on the chin. Your chances of having the sentance reduced are very slim given the police caught you both on radar and camera, and if you go to court and plead not guilty and are found to still be guilty (which you will be) or plead guilty but your grounds are found to be frivolous (which they most likely will be) you will almost certainly end up with an even harsher punishment for wasting the court's time. It happens all the time and any experienced traffic lawyer will tell you this....save yourself the time, effort, money and heart ache, just bite the bullet.

Shannons quoted me $3100 last year and again this year with an agreed value of $65,000. My excess however is only $650. With Just Car I'm covered for $75,000 but my premium is $2850 and my excess is $2900 (using their Adjust premium thing to the max)..... Might have to use the old man's name in vain......Never made a claim but I'm still paying out of my ass like a teenager or someone in their early 20s.......almost $6000 insurance in 2 years for a car that's barely driven once a week, locked up, garaged, has GPS tracking and always parked in sight...... I'm trying Lumleys at the moment but it seems like they use a clueless underwriter - the woman I'm speaking to on the phone has no idea what a Titanium exhaust is and she wants me to list my modifications ........
