(Fs) Bbk Akebono From 370Gt / 370Z With Rotors
pauls replied to AsM's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
When the dollar was stronger I purchased a new front & rear set with slotted rotors, callipers, pads, lines & adaptors from the states for around $2,300 landed. If you can get int shipping for $300 your on a good wicket. Last I checked a full set of 10 year old brembos off an r34gtr were going for $1500, which is why I went new aekbono's. Around the $1500 mark for good nic set of aekbonos sounds decent. BTW I had these on my v36s and that thing stopped on a dime. Have you tried listing on zclub.com.au? -
just tried calling RE-Customs and phone number listed on their website is disconnected!? 9548 3414

Torana Lx Gtr Hatch, Lots Of Pictures
pauls replied to turbo76lx's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
wow, your fabrication skills are sensational! No doubt you know your stuff! Given your torana is 25+ years old, why not go club plates which will give you 90 days road use a year? You obviosuly know what your doing and are bouncing your approach off engineer before application, club reg would allow you to bypass expensive engineering approvals and get you legal road use for under $200 a year. -
Awesome, thanks for the input!

Cheers, Has vg, but have sourced rb crossmember. IC? Will be going upright radiator, thus no header tank needed?

Bolts? I was thinking blu tac! There's a few pics floating around and a heap of BS chit chat, but no actual detailed rb26 build threads anywhere that I can find. Would have been nice to know specific nuances about the rb26, GTT box or even better tricky bits encountered during upgrade, but seems will learn it all on the job. Str00th did the same to a 200zr that was up for sale around mid 2011 but no real details or info on where it went? PMd str00th ages ago and his insight was 'don't do it'. We all know what the natural instinct is when we hear that response... Cheers, Paul

Thanks, have looked at all the sites a little too much and know it can be done. Was seeking insights on any particular things I should be aware/ look out for regarding the rb26dett or mating if up with the GTT r34 box.
-
I've lined up an r33 rb26dett with ecu & loom & r34gtt manual gbox. I believe both motor & box are pull so no probs matching them up Modified RWD sump & custom tail shaft. Considering r32 ecu & nistune for tuning. This is going into my z31. Any recommendations or things to avoid - lookout for ? Cheers, Paul

Vic - 2008 V36/g37 Manual Coupe S (Skyline/infiniti)
pauls replied to pauls's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I havent seen anyone manage to convert the main screen on the v36. but then again the cluster is where you end up interacting most with. Bit hard when you cant understand or reset the warnings. It's a lovely car, but doesnt get much if any use lately so selling it is the logical thing to do.. -
2008 G37/V36 S Coupe blue, 6 speed manual Until I upload some, pics can be viewed here; http://www.carsales....e-2008-14146250 Asking price $43,500 with VIC RWC Import Monster brought this in for me and can vouch for how clean it is. Up for sale is this rare G37 S Coupe blue, 6 speed manual with factory big brake upgrade helping it stop better than a 370z. Unlike any other G37 this car has an English cluster with Klms, not japanese making a massive difference. Yes you can now actually read the messages and warnings. Fully loaded with electric everything. Also comes with 2 digital controller keys. This car in essence is a 370z as they share the same engine, suspension etc. so service and parts are a breeze. However this car has 4 seats, looks slicker and costs considerably less. In addition this car is globally badged as infiniti which is Nissan's luxury car arm. Infiniti has just launched in Australian and this car sells for $86,551. Here is how infiniti describe the G37 S Coupe; The sleek lines, sports car proportions and aerodynamic contours of the G Coupé are born from Infiniti’s design philosophy of ‘Graceful Strength’, our very modern take on timeless Japanese aesthetics. The 235kW V6 engine is mounted as far back as possible for a lower centre of gravity that delivers incredible handling performance. The muscular exterior of this beautiful beast infers all you need to know – that it’s as much fun to drive as it is to admire. I am the first Australian owner, had the car since October 2011. Finding a 2008 manual in like new condition was an extremely difficult and time consuming task. For a second hand vehicle, there is no evident wear or creases on the interior. The seats literally look like no one has sat in them and carpets are like new. As per pictures the car is in extremely good condition inside and out. Had a recent service and comes with a VIC RWC, but not the custom plates. You will be hard pressed to find a blue one let alone one in this genuine condition. So why am I selling? Work is now a few minutes drive from home. The car is not my primary transport and had minimal use and k's put on it, I have therefore decided to let it go to a home where it will be used and enjoyed. PLEASE NOTE, I DON'T NEED TO OR HAVE TO SELL THE CAR, SO PLEASE NO LOW BALLERS OR OVERSEAS ENQUIRIES.
