  3. We got there guys....FINALLY!!!! Photos of the wing posts...have been advised posts have a metal plate inside with M6 thread I've got a new set of the rubber seals/gaskets at home so once these arrive will test fit them up and see how we're looking Should be able to get the GB going by the end of the month! Maybe....everything takes 5 times longer than you think in this game!
  4. Cheers Damien & Anthony Hahaha I think...? Yep, you're dead right, road grime is now my nemesis!! One thing that got overlooked mate, I don't know why, I meant to do it but just didn't get there. Thanks and the patience is starting to wear thin but it's the home stretch now! It just takes SO much time to EVERYTHING right and not cut corners hey, it's really quite unbelievable Really appreciate the input mate. I am also unsure of the longevity...only time will tell as I don't know anyone who has done this personally I am just doing the best I can with what I have and as this is my first build/restoration it's all about learning what works and what doesn't Speaking of the clear, few more of the gearbox (photos DO NOT do it justice!) Last of the wrinkle...I think! First part to go back together!! New bearings pushed into hubs/knuckles Got most of the front electrics cleaned up and tubed Started cleaning up the aircon lines as well
  5. Cheers mate, starting to take shape now huh! Little things make the difference in the end right...? Haha yeah I hear ya...bloody work gets in the way of life! Sure does, very impressed with it, really glad Silbeer suggested it. (thanks again Silbeer! bloody legend). Mmmm yeah was going to go the Nismo twin comp spec but just couldn't justify the $$, will just have to see how the NPC goes Yep will do, really looking forward to the assembly process now, should all come together pretty quick now...fingers crossed!!! A good point mate, cheers. Will see how we go, have the old HICAS lines there.... Thanks man, very happy with it looking back at how it was! The work it took but was just out of this world, hours upon hours under there... Will do mate, you and me both, not to long now! Yeah nice!! Shoot me a PM if you want to have a chat about 32R's, happy to offer my thoughts Cheers! Hopefully it's everything I have dreamed and more! Stay tuned, I will be putting in mass hours to get it done by end of Sept Motor progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sump detail
  6. Ah no worries Kevin, sounds cool, will shoot you a PM Under body finally finished Few more new bits, mmmmm billet
  7. Back from hydrablasting, result speaks for itself Last few bits to clean up and paint etc Back from sandblasting, ready for new bushes to go in
  8. You know it Benny! Had to whip out the oxy as well as they would not budge without it...once heat in the they popped out easy Thanks mate, getting frustrated now as keep finding little things to do they prevent me from starting to get things back together...just NEVER enough time Haha much appreciated mate, doing my best to keep the photos coming! I know, I have a problem, just hoping it all comes together as I have planned...Where in Aus are you? Still learning a lot about the car and loving it more every step closer it gets to being finished. Thanks, still so much to do with such little time to do it in
  9. Hahaha nice. Sorry to leave you hanging guys Still waiting to receive last of the photos and actual finished products to confirm fitment/they are 100% what we all want! Hang in there, will happen this month!
  10. Front bearings coming off Getting cleaned up Few more bits in clear Making up bits for rear end bushes Dry box haha
  11. Hubs are back Michael but haven't seen them yet, will get photos up asap for you. Yeah they were atrocious when we started, will get new bushes back in and then a hit of clear to seal them up! Cost was $180 for all 4 man Cheers Kevin, insane amount of work ahead...I don't envy you!!! Hope you will be putting a build thread up on here..? First started with truck wash and heavy duty nylon bristle scrubbing brush/sponge (this was hell, shoulders on fire!), then got stuck in with a steam cleaner to really loosen up the dirt/grime, while all still wet got the high pressure washer and went crazy! Let it all dry out for a week, then went over every inch with the LED work light to locate every inch of rust (was pretty happy that there was fk all), treated any minor bits I found (you would of seen the black painted bits and pieces in previous photos) and then taped up every bolt/thread etc Next step was the coat of the black under body rust protectant/sealer/deadener. You just buy in a 4L and apply with a specific gun that hooks up to compressed air line. Let it all dry out for a couple of weeks and the last step is the stonechip protector/deadener, again this is applied by gun/compressed air and GOES EVERYWHERE!!! So not easy to do unless you have the space... Photos below of the first coat (which was 3 x 1L bottles) of the stonechip
  12. Stonegaurd going on this week to seal up the deadener/rust protectant Well said Nick. It's a great thing to learn all about the way the R works and fits together. As you said, quite a lot going on under the hood/body! Bit more progress, all bushes out Ready to send away for Hydrablast More prep/painting Box getting acid washed Ready for a hit of clear coat New front wheel bearings
  13. All good things take time right? Still waiting on photos of wing underside to confirm mounting, any day now Cheers
  14. Haha no worries man....first ask yourself...'how deep are my pockets?' Yeah that is deadener man, just took photos straight after it was done! Should look more textured once fully dry....will get more photos Cheers Kev, I really can not believe the amount of prep work to get it ready! I spent a lot of hours underneath it looking up....
  15. Cheers, got to see it on Monday and it's coming together very nicely! Getting very closing to going to back in...start of July is booked in for 2 days of front end assembly and motor install Yep, I am curious just to see how it does go on the stock injectors, AFM's and ECU...once that is know and she is running smoothly the plan is to swap in the Nismo 600cc's, Z32 AFM's and the Nistune Thanks for the info, appreciate it Anthony. What boost level were you running to achieve that? Cheers! I have to admit I have problem but hopefully that results in a R I can be proud of... Yep, just going back to the original metallic gun metal
  16. It bloody well better Paul, main idea was to get rid of the factory rusted up junk, will confirm asap
