Cheers Nigel. Haha yeh spot on mate. Cage looking very nice...looks like you went for the top of line! Yeah mate E85 is locked in now! Obviously Nismo injectors will now be redundant. Been plenty happening on this but no time to get any photos/post on here The following parts have been ordered/have arrived: Tomei oil pump Tomei cam gears Tomei sump baffle Tomei fuel rail Greddy pulley set (aluminium) Nismo gearbox mount Kansai Service Transmission Member Collars OS Giken O/H Kit Set A for TS2B Clutch Kit Fuel set up still to be sorted, so far it's as follows: Factory HICAS hard lines 1150cc Bosch injectors (stainless steel internals) 3L surge tank (anodised) Holley Dominator 1800 fuel pump (ss internals) Unsure on FPR - any suggestions? -

Very very tasty work/mods Gavin, you've done exceptional work improving the whole look of the car! I couldn't see any photos of the sump...? One of these would finish off the engine bay perfectly IMO http://perfectrun.jp/src/detail.php?pid=39001&pname=GT%20COOLING%20PANEL&maker=GARAGE%20DEFEND%20&maker_id=39&result_mode=qui&cbid=101&carid=101002_10101 -

So I have a power goal of 600 HP + at the flywheel Garrett -5 turbos Tomei dumps Nissan manifolds Standard head Tomei cam gears Tomei fuel rail & reg Nismo 600cc injectors Standard crank Forged rods & pistons ARC cooler Haven't sorted front pipe yet...I do have one that's a bit beat up but was thinking of using it and trying to do a side exiting exhaust. Something similar to this: http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/78553-exhaust-turn-down-track-pipe-any-interest/ Has anyone done anything similar? My worry is the ground clearance for the turn-down piece that will be fabricated to bolt to the front-pipe exit as it won't have the trans tunnel to follow like a normal rear exiting exhaust does...also will most likely be quite loud? -

Thanks so much for the info Brady!! Greatly appreciated mate. I've called and organised a cage with Dave from AGI. My initial impressions, as you mention, are that AGI are a very professional outfit who pump out a ton of quality work. I called this morning and Dave had emailed me detailed info and designs within an hour or so! Some photos he sent through of their R32 cages: I went with this: C) Full Cage (6 point) Bolt-in – Main hoop, double diagonal brace (through hoop), backstays, lateral bars (front legs), windscreen top cross bar, harness bar with eyelets, and single door bars · Mid Level specification – State Level race meetings or Drifting · Supply: $1,600 inc GST Notes: o AGI Bolt-in roll cage kits are painted in a Satin Black (low glare) finish. o Roll cage kits come complete with lower plates and high tensile fasteners. o Roll Cage tubing is CAMS compliant 350 MPA CDS Mild Steel. MIG Welded. o CAMS Roll Cage documentation is provided with kit. Please advise your VIN/chassis number when the build is complete so we can complete the documentation. o Please note that the regulations have changed for CAMS approved roll cages from the JAN 2012. Additional bar work is required at a National level while some existing roll cage coupling designs have now been outlawed. Our 2014 spec roll cage kits meet the new requirements. o If you’re intending to fit the kit yourself, please note that all our bolt-in roll cages are pre-drilled (roll cage connector to corresponding tube) unlike some kits on the market. We also check for accuracy and fitment on our in-house roll cage jig (see attached photo). If you’re comparing our roll cages to that of a rival product, please make sure your comparing like for like. Some bolt-in kits are not CAMS compliant while other kits don’t simply ‘bolt-in’ as suggested and require days of modification to install. -

You're right there Richard! Standard gearbox, diffs, brakes, suspension arms, body work For the medium term it will just be local track events at Qld Raceway and Lakeside, all of which I believe will be non CAMS sanctioned events such as the time attack series (run by Paul Ruzic) Cheers Aaron! Definitely aiming to contain the dollars on this one but mate. Will get some photos up soon Thanks heaps Tim, I hear ya. Just unsure if I will ever get the time/money etc to get into any CAMS events... Cusco cage is approx. $1,500 delivered and if things did change it would be reasonably straight forward to pull it out, sell it off and go for a CAMS certified weld in cage I guess I should talk to a few fabricators here in Bris and get some quotes...can anyone RECOMMEND A ROLL CAGE FABRICATOR IN/AROUND BRISBANE? Also, would be great to hear from others who have a CAMS spec cage already installed to get an idea of what it cost etc... -
Also, am now flat out onto the next build http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/450417-bnr32-track-only-build/

Thanks again Amir. Haven't driven her much really...but saying that I did get out on some of the local hills around here on the morning of my 30th with a mate. It was absolute pure bliss. Having the roads to ourself on cool clear morning and being able to flex ALL of the R's muscles was poetry in motion. The car surpassed all my expectations and more, I tried my best to build this car as the 'complete package' in terms of looks, handling, braking, drive ability and smooth reliable power and I couldn't be happier. It really is such a pleasure to drive and the way it performs on the tight, steep, twisting roads has to be experienced to be believed. The only issues have been the front driver side tyre scrubbing on the inner guard where it screws up to the front guard. Also, she blows a little white smoke on letting off the throttle, which I think is the ageing valve stem seals. Oh it's also blowing a bit of oil out of the rear diff breather...? Anyone else had this happen? (it's not over full) Thanks Darren Thanks heaps Tommy, cheers for taking the time to view. Absolutely gutted mate, we couldn't end up making it at the last minute which really really hurt.
