  1. Hi all Thought we could do with a new thread and hopefully assist me in the progress. I am having my phone number released from my work contract but have no idea what contract to go to or with which provider. I am currently with Telstra through work which they pay for but I have never had a phone contract in my life and subsequently don't have a huge understanding of them. It also explains why up until a couple of weeks ago I was using the same phone from 6 years ago until it finally died and work gave me another! So, I have used Optus on a Pay as you go for a few months here and wasnt impressed with their coverage and have tried Orange, One2One, BT, Genie and Vodafone in the UK and the national carrier (BT) had the bets coverage also. This is making me more inclined to go the Telstra route. Phone wise, I would like something like the N91 I think it is that has email on but not a full blown PDA. Usage, I don't use it a great deal and it would be more for receiving calls than sending. My g/f pays about $60 a month all up but that is with Optus. If people are happy to divulge contract costs and/or phone models it would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance
  2. Obvoiusly no Jay walking penalties in Rome then

  7. Sounds good, would be interested. I have a clip of an Enzo from the 05 Gumball leaving London and some pics if you want Snowy
  8. How many times does a member have to be subjected to those! I had them that day after the beer appreciation day. Maybe for your birthday
  9. The UK have had some awesome ones over the years but most are BMW's and Volvos with a fair few Range Rovers and few Ford and Vauxhall thrown in for good measure. They had had numerous Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworths (along with numerous crashed!), Escort Cosworths, Evo 8 and 9's, WRX's, assorted sportier (used loosely) mondeos. Sure there are some others too as there was a thread on the UK forum I use about this recently.
  10. LOL at Age! Yeah super embarrased about that megaphone, sorry! Waaaaaaay to much to drink that day and I can still see it falling in slow motion Thanks Chris and Snowy

  17. Pics are a bit small Let me know what you can afford to pay each month and over how long
  18. Thats funny, they should bring him round to clear up and make him walk up the street to collect the front bar while every continues to laugh!
  19. You will need a good shot or two from the front of the car for him to work with
  20. The normal ones for skylines are called sky hooks but I notice you have a 180 so the same store should stock them. Best way to find out, go and ask for sky hooks but for a 180 which will get you the directly comparitive model. HTH
  21. Have given Dezz some of the details from my letter so hopefully it pays off. Ash, that is the place, yep. I didnt bother viewing mine though as by the time I had either got down to the building or requested the pic via mail and then appealed, it would have gone over the required payment date. I got a letter back which was a warning and saying that speed limits are there for a reason (safety not revenue according to the letter!)
  22. Will get you the details later mate but basically there is a link on the fine to the website and a section for making complaints/contesting on the site. I addressed it the officers name on the fine on the actual letter and this GPO box on the envelope. There is a rumor that first offences are overlooked upon appeal if the speed is low (not sure of cut off point) which was the only reason I contested. I also sent it recorded delivery and offered to attend any station for a character assessment incase they thought I was some hoon. Spewing I missed out on a cool pic of the Evo from the back though Took about 2.5 weeks to come through from my date of appeal. I also didnt pay the fine but they stated it would be refunded if I had. GTRGeoff - I didnt ask for the pic, they said one was available though.
  23. You dont like the forums so you are not renewing? This club has so much more than the forums! Infact the most I have ever seen from a car enthusiast club. Have you ever had a bad experience at an event? Have any of your mentioned people ever encrouched on your actual driving activities (it is a car club not an internet chat room remember)? Your choice but this is the best club I have been part of.
  24. I was caught doing alleged 109kph in a 100kph zone on the Westgate Fwy just before Christmas. That was very generously rounded down to 107kph. For me to do that, I would need a speedo indicated speed of 115kph or slightly over!! I dont mind opening my car up but stuff doing anywhere like that, I go way way out in the middle of nowhere! Decided to write a polite letter to the issuing officer and received a reply informing me that it was obvious a clear offence had been committed but they would waive the fine and 1 point, so I didnt have to pay. I still to this day doubt it was me speeding but I didnt get the picture incase it was marked as an admission of guilt. By all means enforce 40/50kph zones but a freaking 100kph zone on a freeway in broad daylight, good weather, not mega busy and well surfaced. UK has 10% + 3 tolerance and only puts cameras in areas that are non national speed limit i.e 50mph, 40mph or 30mph zones as it should be IMO. Traffic cops police the speed limited roads This was my first offence too. So the moral is, fight it.
  25. Good work Leewang
