Well as that time approaches that some love and others loathe, I thought it would be a good opportunity to have a thread with peoples plans, so what do you fellow SAUer's have organised? Me, nothing in concrete yet but a couple of party invites.
  4. Thanks Geoff
  5. Sorry to hijack, a question for GTRGeoff..... If in a far away land, a motorist were to be caught by a fixed camera on the reverse side of a bridge doing 7km's over the limit, how can this speed be acurately measured as this motorist tells me there are no lines on the road indicating distance measured etc nor which lane the camera was focused on as there were 4 (potentially any of the space craft travelling in any lane could have commited said offence). Any thoughts?
  6. Dezz will account for the significant increase in his first full calendar year as a forum user so the results might be slightly biased with one user making up the normal usage for 50 on the FTO forum!
  7. Jump on evolutionoz.net and ask on there. There are a couple of guys with them. Better still, search on there. They came with some cool goodies like sat nav too. There don't seem to be any complaints from the owners with them but definately jump on there and register is my advice.
  8. Exactly the same as 5 of the 7 days I spent there in Feb of this year. 2 days of glorious sun and sat at the pool then a low pressure system sat off the coast of Fraser Island for over a week, with the first 5 days of that being my holiday! Happily take Melbourne anyday.
  9. Sounds like a good idea, what you save on fuel, you can spend on grog!
  10. highlights Buying the Evo November DECA (car wasnt set up properly in August) NSW trip Eastern Creek, love that circuit Any of the drinks nights with SAU Lowlights Fencing Walling Any expense on the Evo from stupidity and not upgrades Definately more highlights and I thank everyone from SAU that I have met who helped me achieve them
  11. Sorry to hear mate. Saw lots of Police out with radars on the Princes Hwy today coming back from Gippsland.
  12. There is a guy on another forum I use who is one of the main Bosch dealers for the UK but might not get here this weekend. Let me know if you get really stuck and I will try and track him down (he is currently banned from the forum)
  13. It's not about the car. If you enjoy all the same things as SAU strives for, then join up.
  14. If any of it is financed there might be a pre requisite for full comp. Agree with Paul, manual FTW.
  15. There is always one who has to drink it!
  16. Happy Birthday mate! You made, the Bris makes 30!
  17. From memory it is about 6 hours of driving but took around 8 with breaks/fuel stops etc.
  18. Got to agree there with the CRT's, imagine the desk space freed up via flat screens in the "farm"
  19. LOL! second part, most people spell it the way you do with 2 ll's. Rarely I get Allen too
  20. Possibly a step down to take a step up mate.
  21. Same as to all members. Have a good one and be safe.
  22. There are always skills, they may not be just technical but external skills such as: Team Working/Leading Problem Solving Budget Control Meeting Deadlines Presenting Reporting Working under pressure Working within tight or no constraints Exceeding expectations The list goes on...........
  23. Is all the filler a result of the accident or have you had panel creases smoothed out or possibly another material?
  24. Same damn name and you still can't spell it! LOL! Don't worry most people can't spell it Al you have written what I was going to put anyway r.e list of work done, components used, total charges etc to ensure a safe and legal standard is adhered to.
  25. I'm not sure on what/who VIV are but assume something to do with registration/road worthy? Or is it related to the rebuilding of a car using certain new parts/old parts etc?
