  1. KamikazeR33 - where are the 2 pics at the bottom from? I like the stripe on the side. Had a look at the image properties but it doesnt tell me much!
  2. Got the pricing in for mine today. I think I will go the 4000's instead of the 5000's as the cost difference is significant and this car is eating $$ at the moment Going to go for Ferodo DS2500 pads Interestingly, I learnt today, A good brake fluid is as important as good pads. Always thought fluid was fluid but if you have great brakes but crap fluid that boils, it defeats the object of the kick ass brakes in the first place.
  3. Possibly somewhere down the Peninsula for the first 3? 2nd last one is outside Luna Park in St Kilda Last one looks like Docklands where I have been to get pics of my car Great locations and stunning evening for it. Can't believe there isnt another person in that St Kilda pic though (other than the driver!)
  4. Does your brother live in Bentleigh and called Simon? Saw a white one like this on Nepean Hwy a couple of months back and got chatting to him. This was the one (in silver) that inspired me to look at 6's and 6.5's as my mate had one of the first landed ones in the UK in 1999. Also went for a spini in one of West's mates one of these before getting mine. Very nice
  5. Will aim for about 12, Evo switching going on at 10am. Looking forward to it
  6. The 400 has a different turbo, am inclined to agree with Matt if he says the others are stock (not 100% sure myself). I have a friend with a 340 in the UK so will ask her when she comes online in a bit. Mine isnt laggy at all and was something I noticed with the WRX of Evan's that I drove, it feels heavier and a bit more laggy than my Evo.
  7. That was the FQ400 (if 400bhp) but thought it was the FQ360 when I saw it. Very fast but as demonstrated at the end of the feature, massively laggy.
  8. That was Cairns wasnt it not Cannes? Thats about a 4 hour flight and this is an appreciation day! Where is the weak sauce pic anyone?!
  9. Very nice Rod. For a stock VII, that sits very low. You also have a surround to the exhaust so possibly the previous owner has done a few bits and pieces? If it has been modified and need stock springs, let me know as I have them. Mine retained the HID's too, they are ace.
  10. Havent seen yours with tape on mate, only Jacks at Eastern Creek. They are both in their own league then
  11. Get some pics up Rod! Congrats on the purchase and I should be down that way, the weekend before Christmas if my memory serves me correctly. Look forward to seeing it mate.
  12. Also, not sure about here but when my car left the UK, I had to apply for permission to export which essentially took care of degrestering etc and ensuring I didnt receive reminders for tax for it. This was one of the only hiccups in it leaving the UK which is another story. If that has to be done here then they would be aware. Just something to think about although it looks like Al is right with the Scam unfortunately.
  13. Customs/Clearance asked to see my import papers when mine came in which had to include my passport (with evidence that I was eligible to bring the car in). I had a list of things to show them before they released the car.
  14. Probably better answered in the Importation room as you are limiting your knowledge pool to Vic. Main question for me, why would he want that specific one when there are 11ty billion here for sale? I think dotars would be your best bet as for it to come in, irrispective of its previous existance here, it would have to fall under an importation rule or have left on a specific permit to enable it to return (I would have thought). That said there could be a special clause for cars that compete outside of Oz but call Oz home. I saw a Vic plated car at the Gumball in 2005 in London so if it was genuine, it must get back in somehow. Any more details on the car/location/reason?
  15. Those headlights are in a league of their own, especially with the black track tape on, they look like sunglasses. Very cool car and got my vote (sorry other 33 GTR owners!).
  16. Team Blue Evo has informed me you are not winning any awards firstly by not taking solo photos (thanks to those who did, some ace shots floating around) but secondly putting him in the same shot as a Holden! Good shots mate, a Strickland in the making
  17. And the one that ran my g/f's mum off the road in Gippsland and didnt stop! Fortunately for her she wasnt badly injured and knew the logging company so after a few irrate phone calls, things will be happening.
  18. Will be there this time. Missed this one last year.
  19. I need rotors and pads all round also. DBA's are the recommended ones from what I can see.
  20. Good idea Mav Aaron came up with a good idea the other day (cossie aaron), SAU stickers for the top of the windscreen (larger version basically) like the little side window ones. My addition would be to add in the new URL to the top of the windscreen one.
  21. Very good clip. White definately faster
  22. Can we crash the rex Christmas Party afterwards?
  23. Same as. Matt has been superb and we took our other car to Shannons as well largely due to the service he has provided. I also pay the most competitive price I could get for the Evo and have piece of mind that it's with a decent insurer.
  24. Fantastic effort James! Really enjoyed that movie the other night after you and Ca Chow were talking about it up at DECA.
  25. Happy Birthday mate
