  1. Definately a sad day, when your pride and joy goes. Can't quite relate to 6 years but certainly after a couple, I was attached. Helps in some ways seeing it but in others, it doesnt. I am sure you will enjoy the new toy though, especially in your neck of the woods with some twisties Will we see you again in Melbourne anytime soon?
  2. LOL! Anyone would think Bris was the victim! Damn it was worth it to see the President having such a good time and especially at his rival President's expense Out of interest on the tracks, maybe people should provide feedback on the layouts, those who have done previous DECA's. Being a lot more technical, they chewed through the time quicker either as a result of cones being knocked over, slower times or like me, having to do 3 point turns! I personally think Evo sabotage was to blame! My thoughts, I really liked the technical stuff both in the morning and afternoon but would probably prefer a combination. Perhaps technical stuff before lunch when you are fresher and some wider stuff in the afternoon. Tops day though all round
  3. Worst: Defect the car thus meaning a potential large amount of work to make it legal again If it is returned to the illegal state and picked up, there are further ramifications It really sucks and makes me think carefully about stuff for mine.
  4. Do you have any pics? If it is as I am picturing it, why not get 2 blocks of wood and sandwich the plate between them. Then hammer the top block until it is flat. That way you dont get impressions in the plate from doing it on a surface like tarmac etc. But also, 2 months is a bit long.
  5. Great pics Tharaka and Paul , thanks both of you Evo brakes need replacing all round in the coming days so was trying to get the last of the life out of them as the discs are too scored to be machined. Juz - no probs, can't believe we didnt bring you coffee though of all things, will make note of that for the next time as I am sure there will be one!
  6. Looking forward to it, just need to find time to clean it now!

    U2 Concert

Think Leewah was going too. A couple of the NSW'ers from last week were off to the Sydney one last Friday. Would be a great band to see.
  8. What a superb weekend. Huge thanks to all involved with organising and marshalling. Tried to get round to most of the marshalls and thank them last night but sorry if I missed you. Handbrake worked a treat which was my main aim for the weekend and the car returned home in one piece so the g/f is happy too and the locks havent been changed on the appartment. Nath, as James said, tried you about 5 times and left a message as we lost you at the first set of lights. Sorry mate. Riding coloured cows is great fun and walking through the KFC drive through was a laugh. Cheering at a white pintara with blue neons who kept doing laps outside taco bills to soak up the attention from us! Scottie, revenge will be sought for putting tabasco in my straw so not only did I burn my mouth but also my eye when some was left under my nail! Ace weekend, thanks again to everyone involved.
  9. Have a good one mate
  10. Will be there unless any last minute trips to Sydney come up.

    Tpms

Sounds very interesting. I assume this was what I heard snippets of last at EC. Does sound cool and will keep an eye out for it at DECA.
  12. You will be more likely to get pulled over at night. How often do you see cars being pulled over in the rush hour/during the business day vs at night (it does happen but compared to people being pulled over at night is much lower). Most of the pulled over posts I have seen have been from the evening. Anyway good luck with the move and as a weekender, I would have thought you will be fairly safe anyway.
  13. Thanks mate, I should be OK but will let you know if not. Car is just about ready to go so I am really looking forward to this plus the few tweeks to prepare it for this event.
  14. Just be careful where you drive it and how you drive it. If you are doing a lot of night driving with few other cars on the road, you will stand a higher chance of being pulled over. I have been driving around the Brighton area for 4 years plus on and off and never once seen a car being defected and only once a traffic car parked up. Its a nice area and several others could probably elaborate more like Sarahb. Is it a daily driver as if not, several people drive more outrageous cars for weekenders only and dont get a lot of bother.
  15. All sorted thanks to a Rex taxi. Thanks for the info JW.
  16. Dont mind helping however not a line and no suede either
  17. Snow in Ballarat today according to one of our guys at work but just immense rain on and off in Laverton.
  18. Very good mate, best chase mine up so I dont miss out on the action
  19. I could be interested however, the track standard might be a bit high. That said, if people think I could "hack" the track, I will happily go for it.
  20. I need to collect my car from Techsport somehow on Friday arvo so if anyone is able to collect me from Port Melbourne and take me to Bayswater, it would be an immense help. I then plan to go straight onto DECA. If not will get a cab. Am sure I can sort a couple of beers for it if need be.
  21. Much to my surprise after receiving the Presidents Choice award last year for assuming this Alistair character you so regularly spoke about "may" have been your partner
  22. Have a good one mate
  23. Think I have spotted where the Bris' pay packet went this week: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6141186.stm
