  2. A lada Niva
  3. Thought I was in as well Joely and my car definately isnt a rex other than when required to attend cruises and WRX Member Events
  4. This is better news r.e hoon laws: "Police Minister Bob Cameron said 932 vehicles, mostly Holden Commodores and Ford Falcons, had been seized since the laws were put in place last July." Link: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...21-2862,00.html
  5. What about the Morris Minor with wooden frames too, similar to the above post ^ Good find Mr President
  6. Not too far from me but wouldnt go at that time. Why not earlier when people can see the cars in daylight?
  7. That makes sense but is a huge loss between fly and wheels
  8. I am looking forward to seeing this in action. The guys were putting the finishing touches too it last weekend when I took my car in. 500bhp, are you sure? Jeff was estimating 300kw which is just over 400bhp. Roy came over last night in the white VII and I came up with the idea of car sharing for tomorrow. I use his wheels, he uses my car and offers driver training. Will make the final decision in the next hour or two I think. $$ are a little close at the moment which is why I am slightly hesitant. I will still be there either way though to watch.
  9. Yes mate. Jeff is competing in that I think so would be good to see the Evo in action.
  10. Looks a superb job just from the pics. Is it as good up close as the original/better?
  11. Also one on Centre Rd just off of Nepean Hwy on the right hand side.
  12. LMFAO! Sorry Dezz that just stole the crown from your DECA design. It made the main BBC site in the UK and here is the article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/6266057.stm
  13. ROFL at Dezz. Good work and definately a goer
  14. Good post Scottyman, fully agree and relate to
  15. Do Officers look after one another in the force. I have heard of stories in the UK with the equivilant TMU guys looking after one another on the motorways if caught speeding (could just be hear say though). Just thinking if there was a police presence in a convoy to an organised off street event such as Heathcote, would that have any bearing? BTW - Anyone hear the clowns on Nova this morning between 7-7.30am with their heroics!
  16. Dezz - Just make sure you sit in the right end for the team you support over there! Chris - Japan looks very grey, weather not too good there?
  17. frx026 - Some very good points there. How old are you to relate to those things? (genuine question)
  18. Jetdat - 3 First Class! I am sure I could fill them! Ziad, not fussed about Thailand. Doesnt really do it for me. I am glad I have been there but have no plans to go back. Ash - Anywhere specific? That is one option for us too. 180mph - Africa would be nice but maybe something later in life for me I think to fully appreciate it.
  19. Omurru - Europe is nice all year. Have done Singapore so many times, I can't remember now. Ace place but would only go there for a holiday as a stop over or frequent flyers. Done Thailand too and don't like it. Spent a few days there on free flights. Sarahb - Shame but worth it in the long run, plus plenty of SAU activity! Jetdat - Feel free to reallocate to us if you want
  20. Hi all Thought I would start this as the g/f and I are trying to decide on what to do this year. We have both agreed the UK is not on the cards as we have done it every year for the last 6 years and are sick of the travel plus my parents are coming this way in March anyway. California is top of the "to do" list but realistically with the Evo, Dutton, Apartment purchase and other expenses it would be foolish to spend towards 10K on a couple of weeks there inc flights. Evan has mentioned Vanuatu in July which sounds tempting and Joel has spoken about QLD in June. Am quite keen to go overseas but without the hullaballoo of long haul, just for this year. So, what do people have planned and I don't mean dream trips but serious trips for this year!
  21. UK postage isnt much depending on how it gets here. I bring a fair bit of car stuff in and am English. My family and mates are there so if you are a serious buyer, let me know.
  22. Found that one too amongst all the other Maccas vids but wasnt going to post it but agree with you.
  23. If it was never used as a congregation point, this wouldnt have started. Go to any other Maccas on a Friday night and do you see riots outside and severe damage to other peoples property. If people didnt gather there in the first place, this wouldnt have escalated. I went to Maccas carparks years ago when I first got my licence but the out of town ones were all built on retail parks that had a couple of thousand car parks in where 10 cars could sit and chat, causing no bother. Enthusiasts want to meet, naturally, but do it somewhere else preferably that is closed in the evenings or out of the way so it doesnt encrouch on others enjoyment. My 2C
  24. My g/f was asked about that on a trip to Rome as a kid by some of the kids there.
  25. Had a bit about on the WRX forums but can't see anything on the Herald Sun site. Their forum looks to have had the discussion rooms disabled too. Something needed to be done as it was getting out of control.
