Sounds like my old pommy neighbour, he used to buy beat up shitboxes from the wreckers/auctions and fix them up a bit then flog them off to some poor bastard. Haha. -
Well at the moment i'm doing a lot of interior and external mods, i do have a Kinetix V+ Intake manifold sitting in my garage that i can't install for insurance purposes.. that will increase high end power and i'm really keen to strap it on but i have t change insurers first. I have new rims in transit, have plans for exhaust and changing to an emblemless grille and cf wrapped mirrors you know just little exterior shit. Also doing double din sound conversion in the next few months. I'm pretty happy with the power, to be honest i think once i'm on my opens i'll sell it and by then i'll have enough money for a R34 GTR. Always loved them and would be so happy owning one!

Lulz. I'm jealous! you've been JDM loyal your whole life! Aha i'm the same, turn 21 tomorrow and driven shit boxes my whole time during my p's until now. -
Yep lol, usually jealousy. Sweeet, i know a guy that has a R32 GTR as a drag car and hits 9.4 down the 1/4 mile and it's mental.. would be good to see what you can pull. Yeah good man, i'm on my greens so it's NA. Runs 14.2 1/4 mile with CAI and no other engine mods aha so it's a good p plater car i will pretty much beat any other p plate legal car apart from a SV6 commy one beat me by .6 of a second on the strip..

I found this topic in another section and thought i'd bring it here and see what you guys have owned in your life! I will start- My first car was a '97 single cab hilux. Had a gearbox that was looser than a prositute with 400xxx km (and still didn't die) that i drove around the property and started with it on my L's but it was terribly embarassing driving it to school so my 2nd car.. My 2nd car was a slightly newer, 2 door Suzuki Vitara that was given to me when i got my red P's. Had 300xxx km and was an absolute pile of shit. Nothing ever worked in it, i usually feared for my life in daily. It would regularly stall for no aparent reason. My 3rd car was a 93 (i think) VR commodore, odometer stopped working at 247xxx km. Had major problems with it, bought it off a family friend for $500 that claimed it had a "reconditioned engine"- I put a fully sick $1000 fusion sound system in it back when i was about half way through my red's thinking i was awesome. Now that i think about it, f*ck i was a cool commy driver... no it didn't have any UNIT or LOOSEKID stickers on it. But there was a FUSION sticker on it.. Bought my '03 V35 350GT coupe 6 months ago from Brisbane with 78,000km on the clock. Was completely stock, had a compression rod bush worn but that's all i could fault it with. Car now has 89,000km on it going strong. Love it, best buying decision i've ever made (obviously)

I like the colour. There's always going to be haters lol, i don't know a lot about FI but that is some impressive power would be interesting to see what you'd run down a 1/4 mile. Oh and VOLK TE 37's would look the sex! Great find bro.

Go for this grille bro, it's matte black with no badge and the fitment is perfect http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/380450867869?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648 -
I could debate the advantages and disadvantages of buying new & used for hours, but basically you won't lose as much money buying used as you will new. Only problem is with a used car you have no idea where it's been, who's driven it, what it's done, where it's been, and most likely you won't have any warranty.. Luckily there are things like a REVS check and a good mechanic that can fill in most of the blanks. Either way, you will lose money buying new or used.. the older your car gets and the more km's you gain the more money goes down the drain, you just have to deal with it.

Hey mate welcome to the forums, at least your first run at the drags wasn't as bad as mine - did a pathetic 1 pegger burnout, left VDC ON during the race thinking "this will help my grip" ended up running 16 something HAHA. Love the white in the V's Also: Always enjoy listening to the announcer when they mention our cars.. "not a GTR just the standard GT series" lol.

Yep paying $550 atm for a 4 bedroom standard place at slade point, we can rent an apartment that looks like a mansion for $350 that has everything we need. Just seems to be the logical thing to do, but that's not for another 6 months we've decided.

Help: Dead Battery Wont Start
Seano350GT replied to insert's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
When we get REALLY dead cars at work we use a few methods- Strap 2 heavy duty jump packs onto it + jumper cables to another car and have someone reving the other car at around 3-4000rpm to charge it a bit. From memory, i think you need more than 12.4 volts to start a car. -
Ah well me and my gf are wanting to leave Mackay, housing is too expensive along with everything else. Want a change and we can both get transfers in our work it's just a matter of finding a place. We've both liked Brisbane a lot and i've met loads of guys in the V series section that live in brissy and the community is great so i'd like to get amongst that too. Same with housing in Brissy is much more affordable. I've been here about 14 months now though.

The acid may have settled inside your battery and it's dead. Talk to a professional from a battery shop, most likely you will have to replace it -
Hopefully in 6 months time i'll be living in Chermside Brisbane, there's heaps more performance shops down there that are familiar with the V series which will help me a lot!

Yep i get the clicking from the back on acceleration. Also get a little bit of a clunk as i brake, but i do need my rotors machined pretty bad.

I think you mean the V35 which is what i have, although i cannot see the image as i'm on a work computer. These guys can help you with your buying decision, good luck
