  1. Thank god they got rid of the wing on compliance. It's hard to "recommend mods" do your own thing, be different and go your own way. Most of the questions you've asked can be answered if you try the search engine on this forum and on google. G35driver.com is also a very good forum with loads of info on our cars. Those rims, i think are VarrsToen, someone correct me if i'm wrong. You can pick up a set pretty cheap, 19's will look much much better than 18'' and fill the guards a lot better. Tyres are expensive, check out www.theweeldeal.com.au very good priced tyres. Love the white, welcome to the forums. EDIT: Injen is awesome, i have an Injen CAI.
  2. See i realllllllllly don't want my speedo to be out, i will avoid that at all costs. I have 3 points left
  3. Goeff, thanks heaps for that information very helpful! Same laws in QLD can't go more than 15mm larger.
  4. Just found Kumho KU31's for $366 a tyre for 275/30/20, only problem is they don't have 245/30/20 it's only 245/35/20. Does that mean i need to have 35 on the back as well? I don't know what that second measurement means, this is the first time i've ever had to buy tyres.
  5. Yeah no way am i getting ripped off in this town lol. Who would you recommend to fit the tyre to the rim for me in town?
  6. Thanks a lot for the replies, I think i might give these a shot, at $610 delivered i can't complain and if i'm getting feedback from someone that actually has them fitted then i can't see how it's a bad buy. Sweet, not too worried about the wet i drive carefully and always have traction on anyway. Plus i try not to drive in the rain anyway. My mistake, i just checked again they are 225/40/18 & 245/40/18. I don't think my speedo is out, how can you even check that? Alright so i guess i'm tossing up between Achilles ATR sport, Kumho KU31's and Federal 595's.
  7. I was also reffered to Option 1 Garage & Cartell but both busiesses are closed. OPTION 1 is shut til 3rd Jan and Cartell shut til 17th september. Heard they can do great prices.
  8. Hey man thanks a lot for your reply, i just jumped on the website and got $610 for the lot delivered. Same brand as yours, do you know much about them? Road noise, wear rate, steering capability? That price is excellent, just a matter of finding the best bang for my buck i guess.
  9. I have a set of rims that should be on my possession early next week and i'm doing a bit of running around looking at tyre brands and prices. The rims i have purchased are 20x8.5 F 20x10 R +25 offset all round. ATM i have 225/30/18 F 245/30/18 R on stock rims. I am looking at going for 245/30/20 F 275/30/20 R. I have just got back from Bob Jane T-Mart in town after speaking to a female tyre "specialist" and to my surprise she actually knew what sort of car i owned. LOL JK, she tried telling me my V35 is manufactured with 17'' rims... Anyway, i told her i trust her judgment in a good priced well rounded tyre with minimal road noise and with good wear, she recommended a set of Yokohama's for the sizes that i stated above. I was then advised that they cannot legally fit a 275 tyre on the back because it's 1mm out of the legal limit which is absolute BS. So she then told me they can fit 265 in the same brand, so i asked how much it was for a set. $650 PER TYRE Pretty much i just want to know where you guys have got your tyres from, at what price and what brand? There is no way in hell i'm paying $650 per tyre that's a joke. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, i need to buy something in the next 2 weeks so please help me out! Also: Price range for a whole set i would say $1,200 absolute MAX. Thank you.
  10. Hmm, i have never seen one of those before.. No doubt an electrical guru will comment pretty soon though
  11. I have a mate in the states that had Momentum headers on his G35 but he has since taken it off and parted it out cause he bought a G37. He did say they were good but not sure
  12. Hey Matt, So you have HID's right? http://www.ebay.com....=item53eeab1e3b That's pretty expensive though just for 1 ballast when you can buy this full HID conversion kit for $169 that has 2 ballasts http://www.nlmotoring.com/ONEX-HID-Xenon-Kit-H1-p/onex-hid-h1.htm
  13. I want to have either a V36 or a '99 or '00 R34 GTR as my next car. Abosolutely love the GTR's!
  14. I was sitting here drinking some coke and soon as i read "bigger rims f**ck the engine" i nearly spat it all over my desk. Bahaha that's gold.
  15. You've asked a tricky question haha. Someone will know
  16. I've been relatively lucky with shipping on some heavy items from the states but on items like exhaust systems and body parts it's just insane.. Like a HKS rep exhaust will cost me $395, then $400 shipping..
  17. YouTube = Blocked at work
  18. Off topic- Andrew your sig has provided me with a lot of lols
  19. Yes, any physical body work from the G35 will directly fit the V35.
  20. At work bro, but my mate took his traction off when it had only drizzled and he spun out across the road and nearly hit a tree.. had 5 cars and we all had to get out and push him out of the grass he got stuck in lol.
  21. My advice- Definitely DO NOT take VDC OFF in the wet with bald tyres. You will end up in a tree, literally.
  22. The owner of BAUSauto is on our V35 fb group, he does mad deals. Shipping prices are faarrrrrrrrked. Goodluck
  23. I have the same problem with handbrake, have to pull it hard to get it to stop on a slope but i don't get a noise when it's cold in the morning. Well i have a similar noise in my front right wheel area, but it's more of a creak. I only hear it when i'm braking at low speeds and i know my rotors need machining so i'm guessing it's just that. Or a lower control arm bush. Check out your rotors and pads see how worn they are, if they are glazed and have lines of them (like mine) you need to get them machined. I get a little squeeky brakes early in the morning but i don't hear it for the rest of the day. Sorry i can't help
  24. Damn bro you've had a bit of everything haven't you haha. love the 89 Porsche! what did it set you back?
