  1. Oh true, bad luck man. Yeah that could be an option mate, hit up Iron Chef imports if you do. Heard nothing but good things about them. Only thing i can suggest is do your research, don't fall in love with the first car you look at. Is it going to be your first car?
  2. buy one with a factory turbo and get the exemption (IF YOU LIVE IN QLD)
  3. Apparently my sister got pulled over for "flashing lights dangerously at oncoming traffic" she was only warned, but in saying that i don't know the full story but it sounds like absolute garbage to me. I will always flash, eg: Me and my mate were bothing cruising when he decided to punch it (on a road where cops notoriously park and get the old speed camera out) i saw the cop parked up the road and flashed my mate and he slowed right down. Saved his life!
  4. By far Toyota's best looking car they've produced, with Subaru's help. I work for Toyota and was able to drive one of these a few weeks ago, they've got some guts for a 2.0L and the exhaust has a nice tone to it. Top of the range is looking at around $39,990, at my dealership we are selling them "on demand" so only getting a few until September. Very promising product and before long i bet there will be A LOT of these gorgeous looking cars getting around.
  5. I agree with you, i even tend to give people a wave that drive R33/34's since there's alot of them but almost never will i get one back. I'm thankful the guy i bought the car off told me about this page, learnt a lot of things since owning the car so it's good. Definately recommend that FB group, ask ANY question about these cars and i garauntee you you'll have 15-30 replies by the following day, realllly chilled bunch of guys and they have some insanely good looking "G's" they call them.
  6. very true, my mate owns the same V35 as me and isn't interested in the forum community. There's so much good info on this you'd be mad not to. Also an American friend of mine made a facebook group a while ago with over 200 members, very active and great people V35 Coupe Drivers on facebook, i'd post the link but it's blocked on my work computer! request to be added you won't regret it.
  7. isn't that thing factory twin turbo? correct me if i'm wrong i think i heard this before.
  8. had my 350GT since my Red P's. nearly off my greens now and i love it.
  9. hahahahaha made my day.
  10. I love them, talking to a guy named Matt from JDMimportwheels.com who's going to supply me some. What tires have you gone with and how much would i be looking at for a set just for the tires?
  11. Because i need a bolt replaced in one of my control arms and i want a professional to do it.
  12. Completely off topic, those Vertini wheels. Mate how do you rate them? after seeing yours i'm seriously considering getting a set. I was looking at Verrstoen's for about $1500 a set but an extra $500 gets me 20" and FAR better looking rims. Let me know!
  13. I used to check this thread every day hoping to get spotted, until i realised i am one of 3 V35 Coupe owners in my town.. haha.
  14. Damn i need to move to Melbourne, there's 1 Performance shop in my town (120-150K population) and all the work on is Commonwhore's and Falcons..
  15. I just have this thing against people that call our cars G35's, yeah sure they're basically the same but it's not you know. I HATE the Infiniti badge, i don't know why it just looks "cheap" to me. I agree with you, if EVERYTHING in the car was badged Infiniti go for it, but if you have SKYLINE scuff plates (like i do) and Skyline floor mats and Skyline everything you will look silly!
  16. thanks for this, going to do my clutch fluid tonight.
  17. Firstly about your car, have you considered the 350GT..? I purchased my 2003 350GT Coupe around 3 months ago and went through RACQ Insurance (QLD) and i'm paying around 2k for a year (180 per month) for full comp insurance. Now when you go to insure your car you need to tell them straight away it's an Import, or else they will spend hours at their computer thinking "i can't find his car anywhere". Once i told the lady who sorted my insurance it was an import, she sorted it straight away. My exess is very high though because i've lost my lisense before and i'm under 21, if you buy one of these cars mate don't drive like a wanker because if you prang it you're going to have a hard time getting someone to fix it unless there are a number of Import based workshops in your town that can supply parts for these cars because basically anything you want for them has to come from Japan/US. I've avoided going through Nissan for basically everything because the term "Stealership" is basically spot on.. But in saying all that, my 350GT is by far the best thing i've ever bought. Goodluck hope this helped.
  18. Please for god sake don't put an Infiniti badge on a Skyline, you will look like an idiot. I've debadged my car, all i have on the back is the 350GT badge and the Nissan badge in the front grill. Nothing else. I would upload a photo of my rear but i'm at work.
  19. spewing i missed out on this group buy
  20. that's awesome cal, lucky you man!
  21. HAHAH i meant $1.03 or thereabouts. my mistake
  22. It's at about $1.30 isn't it? Yeah only thing that kills me if the shipping. Cost me $227 for my Intake + $80 just to get it here. The price you pay for JDM goodness i guess.
  23. thanks man just ordered my Injen intake today I've heard the Kinetix is great so i'll give it a shot. Haha your kidding..
