Finland - your summer is probably colder than our winter. Does the heater work? Is it just warm or hot? I wouldn't think you'd need a low-temp thermo there - as above just a normal one.
-
it goes like 35% up Is there a thermostat installed? If so, it may be stuck open or it may be a low temp one. If not, fit one. if i squeeze long enough you can see air bubbles start coming from the coolant liquid container This sounds like your radiator cap isn't sealing properly. The outlet to the reservoir should only open if the pressure reaches the cap's rated pressure. Try a new cap.

R33 Parts Series 1 & Series 2 Gtst Rb25Det
GeeDog replied to brentos's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Can you give me the weight & dimensions of the dump/front pipe so I can get a freight price? -
Best you don't buy it then - wouldn't want you to get in trouble. They are on ebay now, finishing today.

(Sa) R33 Lowering Springs From R33 Gtst
GeeDog replied to GeeDog's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Best I can do - this was from the Gumtree ad when we bought it. The ad is now closed and this thumbnail is all that's left. We measured height at 330mm front & 340mm rear, from centre of wheel to guard. It wasn't sitting on the ground, but lower than we've got it setup on coilovers. -
(Sa) R33 Lowering Springs From R33 Gtst

Someone must be interested in lowered springs. I can ship at cost. What about $100? Make an offer - I don't want them. -
(Sa) Us Audio Amp & Kenwood Sub
GeeDog replied to GeeDog's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Not much interest in these (none actually). What about at $120 for the pair, or happy to sell separately. Make me an offer - I don't want them & need more power.... -
How stiff - hard to quantify but getting towards uncomfortable on the road. I drove it to Collingrove for the hillclimb - around 80 kms and mostly 100 - 110 kph, and was glad to come home in my 350GT (which is also quite firm). I couldn't do a long trip in it. We did soften the shocks a bit during the event looking for more rear grip. We bought the ERs from STT, and 8/6 are their stock spring rates. They were slightly cheaper ($50?) than Justjap. The car still has stock swaybars, and the handling was impressive at Collingrove (once my teeth stopped rattling from the trip up:)..

We've got an R33 GTST, with an almost stock RB25DET. Only mods at this stage are a cat-back 3" exhaust, an R34 SMIC, and the 7psi boost solenoid mod. We have replaced all fluids & filters, timing belt & bearings, front & rear seals, water pump, & spark plugs (copper gapped to 0.8). We've found & fixed a few boost leaks & it seems to be running sweetly. The car is registered, but will be used almost exclusively as a track car - doing hillclimbs, track days / supersprints at Malalla, and motorkhana / gymkhana type events. We don't want massive power (yet) but are looking for lots of torque with no lag & good response. We are starting to gather bits to get it tuned, and deciding which way to go. Budget is a bit limited at the moment, so it will be a 2 (or more) stage process. So far we have a Z32 ECU with Nistune installed and a Z32 AFM, but neither are installed. We also have a Hicas lock bar to be fitted this weekend. We are debating whether to do an injector upgrade (for E85 conversion) or a turbo upgrade (probably highflow the stock one) before the first tune - it will only be one or the other. Whichever one we don't do now will happen sometime late next year. We will upgrade the fuel pump before doing anything, just to be safe. The first question then is what fuel pump should we be buying to support E85 and a highflowed turbo)? We have a Blitz SBC boost controller (came in another car & doesn't need it). We aren't sure if it will be any use in the R33 with a Nistune ECU, and we are considering selling it to help fund the upgrades & tune. So the second question is should we keep the EBC or sell it - is it of any use to us? An associated question is how does the stock boost solenoid work, and how does a Nistune control it to adjust boost (if at all)? Is the solenoid an on / off device, or is it pulsed to vary boost bleedoff? Last question (for now anyway) is which way would you go first - E85 or highflowed turbo - and why? Costs are similar - around $800 for a set of ID1000 injectors with fuel rail & reg, and around $1000 to highflow the turbo. I'd expect power results to be similar. For anyone starting to type "search the forum - it's all been discussed..." I have searched, and read a shit-load of posts (and conflicting opinions). I'm trying to tie it all together. Looking for constructive input.

We put ERs on our new (to us) R33 GTST a month or so ago - just before the SAU nationals. Have only used it in the SAU hillclimb so far but were very happy with them. We've got 6 / 8kg springs and it's very firm, so yours will be stiff. Interested to hear how you go on the track with them, we are planning to do a few events at Malalla next year. have you replaced swaybars as well?

When I extract the RAR file (from the 5 part fast2010disks.partx.rar files), I get 7 different .iso files, as follows: CA1001.iso CAINF1001.iso ELDVD1001.iso EURINF1001,iso GLDVD1001.iso USDVD1001.iso USINF1001.iso Each of these iso files has a \FastPRG\Win2000\Setup\setp,exe (along with heaps of other files). These iso files are totally seperate to the A1, A2, A3, B1 & B2 isos. My question is what are all these seperate isos for, and which one is the best to install?

I uploaded Nissan FAST here for the Nissan SKYLINE and GTR Google + page: Thanks - I've downloaded all files. After extracting the 5 part RAR file, I get iso disk images. There is a setup.exe file in each of the images, and they are all exactly the same size & a similar date / time stamp. - which one is the best to install? Are they for different markets (US & EUR) - if so what is each file? Each ISO file is quite different to the others. Cheers

I sold the car 4 years ago Because you couldn't get that bit apart??

I have a set of 4 18x8 CSA alloys fitted with Maxxis MA-V1 tyres. Stud pattern is 5 x 114.3, so will fit Falcon, Soarer, Supra, Skyline and others. Rim offset is not marked on wheels but is around +35. Tyres are staggered fitment - 245/40 on the rears & 235/40 on the fronts, and all tyres have plenty of tread left - approx 50 - 60%. Rims have been re-painted in an olive / bronze colour. I have the centre caps but they aren't in brilliant condition and haven't been painted.

Full set of Eibach lowering springs for R33 Skyline GTST (probably fit other models but not sure) Rears marked as 51,96 6340102, fronts are 50,96 6340101. With these springs fitted ride height was around 330mm front & 340mm rear - measured centre of wheel to wheel arch - $125 Prefer local pickup but can post at cost.
-
Honestly, I have no idea. I would expect it to fit, but only based on it being the same engine. I'll be under my car this weekend if you want to measure anything, so you can compare to your car - not the easiest thing to measure though.
-
Didn't actually get it on the track with them on - bought an R33 track car and will be using that from now on. They are a bit louder than stock, with a bit of a rasp in the mid-range under power.

6 x Xspurt 1000's and Proflow RB25 rail would be around $800 through me I think Mark, with all adapters. Scotty - will that rail fit with the stock plenum? We are looking at going to E85 in the next few months, so I am interested in an injector upgrade.

Rattling Noise Over Bumps From Rear Of Car
GeeDog replied to INSANITI's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
You've seen that ad on TV (supercheap??) where the guy strips the entire car looking for a rattle, and it's a pair of earings in a tray in the dash..... -
Bump: Eibach lowering springs out of R33 GTST. With these springs fitted ride height was around 330mm front & 340mm rear - measured centre of wheel to wheel arch - $120 US Audio Power USA200ZM 600W amp, mounted on board with fuse & wiring, & Kenwood 12" Sub in box - $150
