Well, didn't I make a shock discovery today? Ready to embark on my speaker replacement phase, before getting into the more laborious task of doing the amps and subwoofer for the boot, I had prepared myself with MDF to make the adapters for my 6.5" Boston Acoustics to fit into the 10" Bose space. But once the door trim was off, I was greeted with evidence that my Sports Premium package did not have any Bose 10" speakers but rather a crappy Blaupunkt 6.5" in each door instead along with the large tweeter located next to the door lock handle! I still proceeded with the upgrade and installed the tweeters in the side mirror finishers with a little creativity and a lot of professional effort on my part but now this throws a major spanner in the works, which will be confirmed once I remove everything from the boot floor to probably find not a single Bose amplifier exists either. This will entail rewiring the doors to accommodate the separate feed the tweeters will need from their crossovers as well as taking the speaker outputs of the head unit and feeding them to the JBL MS-8 DSP I've got. If I'm feeling really adventurous, I may look into modifying the head unit so that I can extract the line level output for the MS-8 instead. My only other hope is that I find the wiring harness for the Bose set up in there anyway and just buy a Bose headunit to replace the existing one, again, provided the harness will accommodate this changeover. Somehow, I doubt that's going to be the case. I'm guessing the Bose stereo was also an option in Japan when getting an SP?

Bose radio/sat nav/ Hi all, I'm new on here so go easy on me! I joined up to this forum as it looks like you guys know every thing about our cars (and the uk forum is a bit dead). I have just got a skyline 350gt after years of owning Jags and so far loving it. It's a 2004 model which has been in the u.k for 2 years. There's a quick picture of it on the way home- My question is what can I do with the radio etc, it's got the Bose radio/6 cd disc head unit with pop up sat nav/tv, dvd drive in top glove box, rear 6x9 Bose speakers and I think a amp in the boot. The radio works ok but the cd will not read any uk cd discs. I do like the std look of the set up so if I keep it what can I do to get ipod connected and usb? I have heard I can't remove the dvd drive because the engine will not run without it. is this true? The sat nav/tv is no use here so whats my options? Thanks.

Hi There, Having some issues with Bluetooth streaming music from my iPhone to Bose System in my 2010 V36. My Bluetooth for phone calls still works fine. I have a feeling the Bose system needs a firmware upgrade to the latest A2DP standard to stream music. If anyone has got any info on how to get a firmware upgrade, can you please let me know? There's an option on the US Bose site where you can use a product finder to look for upgrades, but you need the serial number of the product. If anyone knows how to get the serial number without pulling the media unit out, that info would be much appreciated as well. Thanks.

Hi All, I have a unique problem with my new V35 Coupe. It had a JDM double DIN unit in it that was removed and replaced with a Bose premium head unit. The car is originally a non-premium spec car so had no amp. Problem I have now on getting the car is the audio is too low to hear at highway speeds (as there is no amp) and just distorts if I try and turn it up. I can get to about 21 on the volume scale before it distorts but the volume is just too low. I am not after any top end audio system, just something for everyday driving to and from work etc. Any ideas on how to sort this out without removing the lot and going to a JDM DD or something similar? I was thinking of somehow putting a small amp in to boost levels to an acceptable volume. Your help is much appreciated.

I have a 2008 nissan v36 with bose sound system, and the boofer it is not conected. the amp an the wires that conect the inside car speakers, but the boofer it is not. I wold like to know the wiring so I can realize what wires are missing Also the components of the sysmtem if there is anything missin too. Regards

As the title suggests, i wanna buy anyones OEM V35 Bose equipped CD Changer and Fascia. Seeing how many ppl go aftermarket, surely someone has one lying around taking space. I Dont want a working unit, fascia needs to be in reasonable condition tho, using it for a project. Hi my v35 was recently in an accident and I am lookinng at parting out the vehicle. Damage is in the front and drivers side. to repair the vehicle you would be looking at a new front bar, new drivers door, new oil cooler, new radiator, and some hard work. all stock except head unit and bose adaptor, also tein s-tech springs, and 350z z-tube induction.
