I've got a screamer pipe on my stock turbo rb20. I don't know how it sounds outside of the car, but from inside it sounds pretty mean when the wastegate opens up. It also cured some boost spiking issues i was having with the stock setup.

so u guys reckn it will sound shit on the twin turbos ??

yo turko, try and understand it has nothing to do with single turbo, twin turbo or tripple turbo. a screamer pipe runs from the outlet of the wastegate and vents to atmosphere. now there are generally used on external wastegates. some GTRs with twin kits have twin wastegate, some have singles, even some single kits have twin wastegates. it's got nothing to do with how many turbos you have. The reason it will sounds like a leaking exhaust on your cars is that you are running standard turbos which have INTERNAL WASTEGATES. that is they are integrated into the exhaust housing of each turbo. with that being the case it's very hard to get it completely sealed from the exhaust gas flowing through the turbine.

I say do it you will be the envy of your mates.

Hahaha, nice call.

BEST way to turn heads whilst on full boost, which means you are probably going fast, which means the cops will defect you cause they will think you are a dick and then because they are defecting your engine bay, they probably won't stop at the exhaust leak. I wouldn't do it unless you never see police cars where you are.

ok i was proven wrong on the weekend, went for a ride in my mates Cefiro, RB20, as far as i know stock turbo, a 3" straight thru system (if u know what i mean). and a screamer.

It sounded AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i took a video on my phone but its crap

Not to mention the fact that because they're stock turbos (reads small turbos running off 3 cyl each) and the fact that they're ceramic so you can't run high boost, each turbo won't be pushing much cfm of air. As a result, when the wastegate opens and lets the air out the screamer, this 'little' amount of air sounds bad, as mentioned above, like an exhaust leak.

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
