Hi Guys,

Yes I made it onto TV, and no it is not some porn show.

Me and my car will be on DriveTimeTV on this coming Tueday night, it's on Channel 10, late after Sports Tonight.

Luckily this time I didn't have to say anything, in fact they actually gaffa taped my mouth so I couldn't speak, it's true.

Tollie the host, takes my car and gives it a damn good thrashing, hand-brake turns and 360's, my brakes were smoking after he had finished, plus he managed to collect a few witches-hats while drifting it.

This was supposedly a drive comparison between my car and a 4-door Skyline they did a while back. They also had a Stegea wagon and a JZX90(chaser) which they will be roadtesting soon.

See'ya:burnout:

Geez your generous!! I have the look but dont touch policy on my car. Used to really annoy my ex after being together for 2yrs he wasnt allowed to drive my car and all his mates used to give him crap about it - then again would you let someone that has lost their license 9 times drive your car?

Will have to take a look!!!

too right!! I'd never let some other guy take my car out and give it a working! The only person who touches my car are my bro and parents (bro coz I trust he won't, and parents coz they drive as slow as a wet week anyway)

anyone else don't have a chance (annoying when your mates KEEP asking for a drive!!

But anyway, it wasn't my car, so will tune in and check it out

did they give you anything for the privelage of thrashing your car Paul? :P

The filming was done at the end of the drag strip at the Motorplex.

Tollie has been a rally driver for years, and knows how to drive a car better than most, including myself, so I wasn't too worried. My car is built to withstand a fair bit of punishmnet, so if something breaks I just fix it with something stronger.

so were you on ages ago? I seem to remember a gun metal line with silver and red rims ages ago, but at that stage only had a POD and exhaust or something? And that was a show saying they were gonna road test a few imports and apart from a 4 door skyline, they didnt do any.

Oh, and if you count the NA soarer they riced up, that makes 2.

    • I was just driving into work and while on my drive, I went to accelerate and noticed the car would sputter/hesitate and I’d hear a few pops from the exhaust before it started going faster. Then I also noticed that when I push my clutch in, the car would die. This all started happening today. Any ideas?
    • That is a lovely Volvo, just saying. Yes I should have got an 260RS when they were cheap. I do regret now.
    • ^ lots of good points made above. The thing is, "aggressive" or "flush" fitment is relative depending on how much you have been influenced by social media. My starting point is always "look at the Nismo RWD specs". That is where you should start, then start measuring as GTSBoy as sort of mentioned, because every car will be slightly different. My 8.5"+35/9.5+38 will not be "flush" enough for you because you want more "pumped" look, which is why you measure. Tyre sizes and brand/models also make a difference. Some tyres are more chunky/square, some are more rounded. That means you could get away with more aggressive offsets without rubbing. But then it also depends on your ride height. Also depends on how much your car copped damage before being shipped from Japan. So it goes back to measuring your car yourself and determining what can work. Those Nismo specs are used bacause it's a safe spec for standard car (suspension. body) with chunky tyres. But then I put 265/35 wide tyres on R34 GT-R wheels, and currently run 285/30 tyres on 18x10 wheels.
    • Sounds pretty awesome. I recommend creating a new build thread and posting all your goodness in there.
