Well heres a few pics of my car completed! Still have some cosmetics to do like tint, new seats, put my cage back in etc but essentially all the body is done! I decided to stick with the factory Diamond Black - to keep it pimp - and easy to repaint bumpers hehe. Here is some shots straight off the gun. Its certainly come along way from being what it was straight from J back in late 2004.

I whacked on the Final Konnexion body kit with M Sports 25mm Fenders. I rolled the rear guards out about 14mm and I think Im going to space my 18x9.5s out about 15mm and put some camber in. The skirts sit about 2 inches lower than the chassis rails hence my ride height is a bit more than Id like. Ive spaced out 18x8.5s upfront by 20mm upfront too to firstly clear the coilovers but also to fill the guards. I had to raise the car up about 12mm at the front because my tyres started eating fibreglass... but now I dont scrape the front bar at all... a good compromise!

I have attached a preview but the rest are at http://www.sido-takushi.com/paintnpanel/finalk

It cost me $2200 for the fibreglass... all genuine parts... $3k for Panel Beating (you'd understand why if you saw the car... but my pic above can give you a hint) and $3.5k for the paint job. Im fairly happy with it... but it sure did cost alot!

Yo Jai!

That looks sik! Well done dude - the long haul is finally rewarding. Motor plans?

Who did you bring in the FK kit through? I have FK skirts/rear bar on my 32 but unfortunately have damaged one of the skirts and am trying to bring in another?

Cheers,

Lyndon

Thats really very very nice. Really not keen on big kits, but I think this is just so well done it looks good.

Ride hight is fine too. Awesome man. Well done.

Dark red leather interior would top it off hey :P

Very the fat... Good too see something other than uras. Who did you get the kit from? Might check what they have for laurels... as that seems a pretty good price :) Ride height looks ok.. You might start ripping of bits of glass if you go much lower

If ur still waiting for that Taxi click on my sig... They should be able to help ^_^

Um I got C-Red in WA to source it for me. www.c-red.com.au

I was told it was a genuine kit although it did take alot of man hours to make it fit up properly... so Im not sure... although I paid good money for it.

If it was a genuine then it should have had the final k stamp on the inside of the kit :(

Yeah all the body parts had the old school Final K logo stamped on fibreglass and layed under the top layer of glass... but it cost me $1k in labour to make it all fit... had to cut and tuck the bumpers as they were about 10mm too wide on each side!

    • I've looked up the parts number (41011AL501). It's around $700 OEM. Usually our Infiniti G35 here in Canada have interchangeable parts with my Stagea but the parts number are not the same. I have looked around and it seems the JDM 2005 V35 Skyline (which is the same as our G35) has the same caliper but I cannot confirm. And I can't find a repair kit. The inner brake pads drags on the rotor, seems to be rusty piston. Thanks for the info by the way
    • This coupled with 6-9 speed autos with ridiculously short gearing is why these modern shitbox cars always seem so fast off the line. If it wasn't for those things, Raptors would not seem fast. The problem we have is there is a driveability gap between a more gentle take off and a wheelspinning sideways launch. The difference between ankle flex required to achieve one and ankle flex required to achieve the other is about 0.5°.
    • Yeah I think I'm also with the opposite here. It's 'hard to keep up with traffic' because in the real world I'm accelerating with 15% throttle and they are pinning it. It feels like I'm being an overt dickhead at anything above 15% throttle, so the car sounds like I'm being an overt dickhead to keep up with/get ahead of traffic when I'm really just trying to drive with traffic. There would be no issue 'keeping up with traffic' if we used the same level of throttle input/aggression to drive around. People really do just drive around with their foot nearly pinned in econoboxes.
    • To be fair it's the other way around. 300kw is boring in a modern Golf or BMW. They are so competent / well-engineered / devoid of emotion that you have to go stupid fast to feel anything. Whereas the <300kw RB still makes all the right noises and it feels good to drive. Can pull off at the lights with the turbo whooshing and the blow-off pssshing and feel like the coolest kid on the block. Just don't look to the side where you'll see the bored housewifes in their shitbox Yaris/Corolla/Camry that kept up because you didn't go fast at all
    • 300kW is so boring in a Skyline, you'll get spanked by someone's mum's Golf with Alibaba pipes, and an email tune.
