Well, let me be the first to admit that I am still learning to drive my car, so with that in mind...

Who wants to go to MC with me, do da, do da?

With any luck Master Kenneth will be one of the instructors & we have all seen him in action. The drags are great, but how many straight roads do we go on?

Hands up people:)

Cheers,

Mike.

the normal MC day is just short course work, dodging people, err cones and finding out what your car is capable of i guess. it's instructor lead, no wet roads (unless it's raining :D) and lots of fun. i'm taking this for granted as i've never been and only spoken to the guy who runs it on the phone. others here have been and gtr ken instructs.

i'm going this sunday.

there are advanced lesons, but you have to book and wait.

If it's rainging - wtf is that:lol: Don't they put dogs down when they get this way:lol:

Sorry Joe - I could follow you around the forums for hours correcting your Jinglish - I must be bored & now I am post whoring...ooh aah:shake:

Am interested in this as well - is it mainly about performance driving?

A guy at work also told me about MB Motorsport (not a typo) who were offering deals for advanced driving courses as well. They do a city one (80 kmh) and a country one (110kmh) so it seems more everyday driving skills compared to racing or performance driving.

Have only looked at there website - MB Motorsport

I haven't done either so no views on either of them

Have emailed John Clark re getting a group in the MC days

Cos the team numbers are down there is a possibility you could run and they would just put whoever has entered into teams.

Don't have to commit to the series which is what is putting people off.

Would need CAMS Level 2S $91 which would allow you to do MC , MaxAction, Enjo Speed Event Series.

You would also have to join a CAMS associated car club.

If we have any interested people at that , I will pursue it a bit harder with John.

Cheers

( get into the twistys )

Ken

Yeah, I'm interested in that, it will cost a bit a first to get involved but them I'm sorted for a year. Where can I get a list of CAMS affiliated clubs, and are there any you recommend.

When does the MC series start?

See'ya:burnout:

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
