No you won't. If it's the pod filter sounds that comes out when you release the throttle, that's the air venting from the stock blow of valve of which your n/a car won't have.

However, putting a pod filter on your n/a car should give you a nice sucking noise when you accelerate as the air whooshes through. The stock skyline airboxes are muffled, thus the reason you hear no sound from them.

If you want to hear a cool noise, take the lid off your airbox and do a lap around the block. Of course, leave the filter there but without the lid you should be able to hear the sucking noise. A pod filter will sound similar to this but much better.

Yeeha!

you wish! i've seen your car bro and i swear it wasnt makin that noise when i dun seen it. stop makin shit up man. we both no it wz moor of a whoopwhoopwhoopptshhhhhh noise.

yes i know the sound your talking about also. one of the main reasons i bought a line was because the way they sound! even without an exhaust system. My series 2 33 gts-t only has a pod, and dam does it make a sexy hiss to scream sound when it climbs the revs. thinking of not installing an ehaust and leaving it be, some people call it the python :)

My mates r33 gtst didnt make the sound - put a pod filter on and it did.

my my98 wrx didnt make the sound - put a pod filter on and it did (stock other then this too)... as everyone else said.. it is just the pod, some blow off valves will give that noise too... a NA car will never sound like the turbo cars do (by just putting a pod on).

    • Welcome. Dont let anyone dissuade you from your dreams. If you want a gtr, keep sabing and you will eventually get one. I feel like if I had have bought stocks, those companies would have gone bust and I would have lost my money.  There's a gamble in everything we buy. I've had good times and bad. But... I've also met my absolute best friend through this network and can't imagine life without them(more like a brother). Keep in mind, some specific mods will change as technology gets better. If you feel like general chat, there's always the wasteland.....
    • Those are some very cutesy barriers! Is that common?
    • Saw this abandoned Honda Fit in a carpark that was getting repaved... they just 'cut around it' and continued with the job! There's a number of reasons why the car could have been abandoned, but as for the construction company, legally they don't have permission to move the car from the owner (who has moved on and can't be contacted) so all they can do it just leave it there with enough space around it so it won't get damaged.
    • You’ll want to have the block drilled and tapped to suit 1/2in head studs and the head for the same. How much power do you intend to make?
    • Sorry for resurrecting an oldish thread Not much has happened in the past year since the last update. The car did another 1000 miles or so and failed the MOT for the first time in October (failed on tyres which had been advised for a couple of years) In October the car got put up for sale and was removed in November due to no interest, being so close to christmas it was to be expected. The roads were dry in February so I decided to tax it early and get the new tyres fitted.   Fast forward to April, I got someone in to give the car a good clean after sitting for the winter.                                 The car got re-advertised and today (Saturday 3rd May) the car sold. The new owner is planning a GTR conversion at some point and a respray in the same pearl white. It's bitter sweet, it's a shame to have the car sit there for half the year and then only do 1000 miles. The kids are growing too quick and space in the back is getting limited. It's been a great 6.5 years of ownership
