my only input is(and i know i am generalising buts its true for me) that in recent months i can say that the only standout group of wankers on the road drive ford territorys!!!

i think the whole sports 4wd thing has gotten to their heads and they have something to prove!

so i guess u will be one of them soon :D

top gear tested them against eachother, and 1 other car as well i think....the focus has the power over it, but i think maybe lacked the handling....still competes with the rexy though...which would more than likely see it shit on the astra or whatever...

lol @ siksII... The other half will be driving it 99% of the time.

Give it a few tweaks, and it should be sitting side by side with you while I tow the boat.. lol :P

Even the Focus XR5 (5cylinder 2.5ltr turbo) appears to be quite a good thing.. Just a pitty its fwd only. :D

I think ford has realised people love performance.. Not slow lazy AU's. :D

The engine for that focus is from Volvo

I trhink it's a good thing that Ford have released a turbo version of the Territory. It'd be interesting to see Ford Performance Vehicles do their own version of it too, but I think that's probably not going to happen.

What I do think wound be a good idea though would be a turbo variant of the Fairmont Ghia.....

I would much prefer an AWD turbo forrester than an AWD turbo territry. Grab the MRT powerup kit for the forrester and I won't be able to knock the stupid grin off my face ;). Although some of the 400kw upgrades for the XR6 turbo might make the territry, err... interesting to drive! :P

And I would much prefer a RWD XR6 turbo over a RWD Territry turbo.

Nizpro have already been to work on the Turbo Territory.

I am unable to remember the reliable power its putting out but 0-100km/h in 3.7 or 3.8secs and 11.7 1/4 all day every day on street tyres.

They have slapped the GT stripes down the lower doors, lowered slightly on 20" wheels.

Now thats a family wagon. ;)

The issue with the Forrester is its lack of towing capacity and we NEED 7 seats.

If you have a decent boat you are better off with a Commodore or Falcon. :P

All comes down to needs, when it comes to towing and seating the Territory scrapes in... Just...

I also like the 100series V8 Landcruisers, if any one has driven an auto 5speed they are very nice and rather quick. As quick as my inlaws VN Commodore to be precise.

Some how Toyota have made the big old landcruiser rather fun and responsive to drive. :P

Power: 450kW @ 5800 rpm

Torque: 750nm @ 4250 rpm

Must admit the engine bay looks rather boaring... Prefer the look of the old RB.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
